We had a wonderful stay at the Good Life! The property was beautiful and relaxing. The lake was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Lake. The hosts, Holly and Chad, were delightful and were helpful in every way.

What an amazing place!!

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. It was a total of 10 of us, 2 families with an extra teenagers). We had plenty of space and things to do!! The backyard is flat and nicely kept. We did some dock fishing and caught a 4 lb catfish one night!! We had a boat and had plenty of room to park and still be able to play in the lake and use the kayaks!! The SUP boards were a big hit as well as the noodles and other floats that were available. Nice little quiet area in the cove. The owners were amazing providing updates when we lost the power. Highly recommend!! Already planning another trip!

First time at Lake Gaston

The property was nice. Unfortunately we were there in a serious heat wave so it was hard to enjoy any outside activities. The lake was so warm it was not pleasant. Equipment at this house was as listed & more. We had a party of 13 (9 adults & 4 kids). Loved the large table that sat us all at meals. Lots of shade. Property was experiencing power outages wich affected the 2 icemakers which did not work. We also lost power for a few hours. (No fault of the house or the host.) You have to put on your own sheets that are provided. Didn't like that after a long drive but then at least your sure they're clean. Holly & Chad answered our texts very quickly. They are not local but have neighbor as a property manager who was nice. Lots of supplies where there, plenty of towels & soaps & cleaning & food storage, seasonings. Large frig to handle our large group. Kitchen had plenty of counter space with the island. Plenty of dishes, glasses & silverware. Of course as with all rentals games were missing pieces, couldn't find the blender lid & only one beater but later we found the other ( after we made the mashed potatoes) the house is nicely decorated & very pleasant to be in. Air conditioning worked great. Hot water handled all if us. Its a very nice house to visit. Didn't find much to do in the area. Littleton is moslly closed & the few shops they have Didn't open till Thursday. Wasted trip. Has many nearby marinas. Well maintained dock for boats & swimming.

Felt like home

From the moment we first walked into the front door, it felt like home - we felt so comfortable here! We had a blast out on the lake with the kayaks, paddle boat and paddle boards (though the paddle boat rudder handle could use some fixing). We sat out by the fire pit every night. The downstairs game area was used quite a lot, and all of the games were in perfect working order. Our dog also had the time of her life. Thank you, Holly, for allowing us such an amazing experience in your gorgeous home!

Amazing Family Retreat

This was our second visit to this incredible lake house, and it was just as wonderful as our first. Returning to this lovely home felt like coming back to a cherished family retreat. The panoramic lake views from the deck are absolutely mesmerizing, and the house is impeccably clean and welcoming. The hosts have truly created a haven here, with thoughtful touches throughout, from the well-stocked kitchen to the comfortable beds. We enjoyed every moment, from early morning coffee on the porch to stargazing at night. It's the perfect spot for both adventure and relaxation. It fits our family of 8 beautifully with young grandchildren. Holly is so accommodating and responds very quickly. Highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a peaceful, rejuvenating escape!

Family Vacation at Lake Gaston

Lovely home on a large property, nicely decorated with all the implements and furnishings to provide a comfortable stay. Easy to get to boat pier, lots of outdoor decks with seating. Host was easy to reach and very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this vacation home.

The good life

Beautiful house in Pea Creek that has everything for all ages. The backyard is covered by gorgeous old trees providing shade on a hot summer day. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and fishing right off the dock. Cornhole and horseshoes were a blast. Easy access to the main lake but very quiet tucked into Pea Creek. Pool and games were the highlight at night. There are plenty of tv's but we never turned them on. Holly is quick to respond and made everything very easy.

The Good Life!

We loved that this property was on the water and with plenty of kayaks, paddleboards, paddleboat to let the kids have fun in the cove. The home was immaculate and was very comfortable for our group of 10. The owner's communication was as best as could be - quick to respond and helpful. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to make several big italian feasts. Bottom line: we loved our stay and would visit again!

A wonderful family vacation

Just finished the most wonderful family vacation at The Good Life! Our hosts were so receptive to any questions we had, and answered immediately. The property is lovely! A flat close walk to the lake, which we all appreciated, and was especially nice because we had a 3 month old baby. Situated in a quiet cove, where swimming and kayaking were so enjoyed. The house has all the kayaks you would need and the dock has a space for you to rent a boat which we did. The house itself was perfect for all of us. Very well equipped and the downstairs pool table and foos ball table were great for evening activities. Many decks for lounging and reading. None of us ever felt we all did not have our own space. We highly recommend this property for your vacation on Lake Gaston. You will not be disappointed! Looking forward to visiting again. Thanks, Jeff and Sarah

Wonderful time at the Lake

The house is in a great location, the hosts were extremely responsive, and there were plenty of things at the house to keep our group of 9 teenagers and 2 adults happy and enjoying the lake experience! The host sent a charming and helpful welcome email 3 days prior to our arrival. We were a bit surprised to read that we needed to bring our own bath towels and make the beds when we arrived. Otherwise, the fire pit, dock, kayaks and paddle boards, and well-stocked kitchen were all very nice and appreciated.

Father's Day 2024

My husband was able to spend quality time with his adult sons and their spouses to celebrate Father's Day, reminisce about growing up, and make new memories. We all kayaked, grilled, and sat on the dock to watch the stars come out. Couldn't have been better.

About our 4th stay at Lake Gaston. Accomodations were more than adequate. Clean and well stocked. Great deck for sitting and enjoying the view. A good walk to the dock. We had an enjoyable time. Even caught some fish. What else could you ask for?

Great long weekend

Whole family had a great time at the house! Plenty to do, even if the weather is bad. So well equipped - there wasn’t a thing we needed. Even the spice rack was full. Such a lovely house. Would definitely come again.

Beautiful House on Lake Gaston

We had a wonderful family Thanksgiving at this beautiful, well decorated lake house. Very well equipped, the house had everything we needed for a complete traditional Thanksgiving dinner, and a well stocked kitchen. A bonus was the dining table that would easily seat ten. Multiple decks over looked a beautiful back yard and the scenic lake. Plenty to do and plenty of space for group fun or just relaxing. A pool table, foosball, corn hole, horseshoes, six kayaks, two paddle boards, a paddle boat and more. We did kayak, but being November, we did not go in the water. While we are past that stage, there was plenty of stuff for families with younger children - high chair, child gates, games and toys. The hosts provided information about the area and the house before we arrived, and checked in with us during our stay. All in all, we had a very nice, relaxing and restorative four days. We will have to come back again in the summer….

Girl Trip Success!!

This was the PERFECT spot for a fun weekend with friends! The home was spotless, organized and welcoming and the location was just beautiful. Holly was so friendly and accommodating. The whole process was easy breezy and we really had a wonderful time. We cooked together, went on a nice walk, took out the pedal boat, made s’mores in the evening and enjoyed coffee on the porch. It was a fun trip for us moms, but next time we’ll bring the husbands and kiddos! 5 stars all around! 🙏

Weekend Getaway

If you are looking for the perfect place to stay and get away from it all.. this is the place! The pictures and discussion of the house are spot on. We enjoyed the piece and quite around us during this time of year on the lake, driving around the different areas nearby. Outstanding Experience!

This is a wonderful place to stay for a large family. The weather was bad for almost our entire trip but the house is so spacious that we never felt cooped up or right on top of each other. The house was very clean and well stocked. Chad and Holly are fantastic hosts and have created a very cozy home that they share. Very much enjoyed our stay!

Great weekend

Everything was fantastic. House and property were just as advertised. Been to Gaston many times but first time at Pea Hill Creek area and is our favorite spot so far! Deap, calm water just a few yards from the dock and no tiny bridges to navigate! Sheets were so soft. 2nd "drink fridge" was great! Downstairs game room was a big hit with the teenagers. Only suggestion is to clean up some cob webs outside but inside was very clean. Host was amazing to work with regarding checkin/out! Would absolutely come back!

Wonderful Home!

Our entire family had the best time at Holly and Chad's home! It was very clean, they provided everything we could possibly need or want! The kayaks, paddle boards, and pedal boats were a huge hit and got used every day. The kids were able to fish right off the dock while the littles played on the beach. It was our favorite vacation house. Holly and Chad were so helpful and responsive, you will not find a better host. I would highly recommend this house and we would definitely stay here again!.

Wonderful!

This home and property were ideal for our adult mama (no kid) get away. We talked on the dock and floated in the lake. We played games on the big table, porch, and family room. It was just perfect!
