Overall Quite Good!

We hosted a retreat for a university club at this house! We were impressed by how big and creative the house was. Really liked the projector with the apple TV system that was also paired with some of the best sound systems I have ever heard in a house. Would've been much nicer if there were subscriptions available already. We were a bit disappointed by the VR headsets. We were under the impression they were going to be Meta Quests, but in reality, they are simply just goggles that you have to slide your own phone into. View is amazing and the hot tub was awesome! Great place to host a retreat.

Excellent stay!

We stayed here for a women’s friends weekend. The house was perfect for all of us. Lots of room, well equipped kitchen, and lots of hiking and activities nearby. Felt like staying in someone’s home instead of a VRBO home. Excellent and prompt communication with owners. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful House, Beautiful View, But Tons of Stairs

The house was very clean, bright and airy. Had beautiful views out of the windows. Had a super nice deck that was really enjoyable to spend time on. The backyard was amazing for our two toy poodles. They loved it. The whole yard was beautifully landscaped, and we enjoyed checking out all of the succulents they had grown. The host was very nice and responded quickly to messages. Now the downside... No where in the description of the property did it say how many stairs there were throughout the house. Not a big deal if no one in your group has mobility issues. Huge Deal and honestly almost impossible if you do have mobility issues. Most rooms in the house have stairs into each room. Along with stairs there are no handrails (except the basement stairwell). We brought my elderly mother with us on this trip and it was beyond stressful trying to help her up and down stairs with out handrails every time we moved rooms. Two falls occurred because of the lack of handrails. With beautiful dark hardwood floors it was also very hard to see where the steps ended and the floor began. We would stay here again but NEVER with anyone who has mobility issues.

Beautiful home, perfect for sunsets (and large groups!)

Lovely, well-appointed home. Amazing sunset views from the deck. The home was comfortable for our family gathering (we were 11 in total). Host was communicative and responsive. We would love to stay again!

Great location with stellar views of the ocean. Close to all the best restaurant and grocery stores

Our family had the vacation together we hoped for. We caught some of the recent weather south of San Francisco, fortunately the house was set up for us to enjoy our grandsons inside as the storms passed. The large bonus room with plenty of toys and easy to work projector provided a warm room to watch their favorite video’s. Meals at home were a breeze with the kitchen amenities and well stocked condiments you hate to buy on vacation. The adults enjoyed a much needed break with the big screen on the main floor and the hot tub with fire pit on the deck. Danielle and Rich were very attentive to all our questions and communications.

Stunning Location

This is one of the nicest and most comfortable rentals I have ever stayed in. The house is massive, the views are immaculate, the hosts are lovely, and every accommodation you might want is provided. My friends and I slept 10 comfortably and had plenty of room to relax and unwind for the weekend. None of us wanted to leave!

Wonderful home & great hosts

This was a great place to stay! The house is spacious and has incredible amenities for young children (e.g. a fully-stocked playroom and cute bunk room). One thing to keep in mind is there are a LOT of stairs -- including 1-2 steps up and down from the kitchen, living room, dining room, etc. -- which could be challenging for new walkers in the 1-1.5yo age range. The location was great for walking and biking, as well as for visiting HMB favorites like Sam's Chowder House. Hosts were very communicative and helpful. There were a few inconsistencies with the listing (e.g. no longer a Tesla charger, and I didn't realize the 3rd bedroom was on the basement level so it's a bit cave-like compared to the light & views of the upper level), but nothing that's a dealbreaker. Would recommend!

Perfect home for families

We rented this house for two families and couldn’t have been happier. It is perfectly set up for families and the playroom was such a hit. Highly recommend! The best family rental we have found in half moon bay.

everything was well done. property was exactly as described. check in was no hassle and owner responsive. easy access to multiple trails. mountain biking was an option - unexpected. might be a good advertising point in the future.

It doesnt get much better than this...

We had such a wonderful stay at Danielle and Rich's home. It is in a beautiful neighborhood and it backs up to open space. Their deck has unobstructed views of the ocean, the harbor, and during our stay it was clear enough to see Pillar Point in the distance. The online pictures do not capture the true beauty of the view. The fire pit added to the ease of relaxing and conversation. The house is up to date and comfortable and there is plenty of room for a larger group to spread out. We were able to bring in our private chef for a celebration dinner and the chef had no complaints with the kitchen amenities. This is a great spot to enjoy to the small town of Half Moon Bay; only 5 miles to downtown, less than a mile to Surfers Beach and maybe a mile to the Harbor.
