The gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant. Hotel room was okay but the tub wasn't clean so we had to go to the front desk and ask for cleaning supplies. The pillow cases were a little dingy with stains on them from which I always bring a towel to put over it anyway. I saw some type of bug on the white linen on the bed which was dead but not sure how they missed that when cleaning up and making the bed in the first place. Walls were a little thin so you could hear your neighbor but we left the fan running so that helped. The toilet would not stop running every few minutes so we had to shut that off once we went to bed. Over all, not a bad hotel and I probably would stay again for a night while visiting my daughter at ECU.

The check in process was a wreck. The man checking us in seemed to not even care we were there. Finally someone came up and helped us. We got to our room and not even five minutes they came up and said we were too loud. Thirty minutes in our ac machine cut out and refused to put us in another room.

My fiancé and I had a rough experience at this hotel. We ended up having to change rooms twice because in our first room, the toilet wouldn’t flush. And in our second room, the air conditioning wouldn’t work. Unfortunately, the staff wasn’t very apologetic about the whole situation and did nothing to make up for the inconvenience. Also, there were a lot of stains on the furniture and bedding that looked a bit suspicious.

The fire alarm went off at 9:45 PM and continued to sound for over 20 minutes. I was told there was not a fire but that someone had taken too long of a hot shower and the steam had built up and triggered the alarm. I was also told by the front desk personnel that they could not turn it off and it would sound until the steam went away. Another person staying at the hotel said the alarm went off the night before also and she was told it was due to someone using a hairdryer. This hotel could use an overall cleaning. The towels have stains on them.

This is the third time we have stayed here. Always worth the money!

sadly, upon arrival at 11pm we were greeted with garbage at front of our door. Once we entered only one bed was half made and the other was not. The staff did apologize and gave us a new room. While the beds were made the phone did not work and we had to share bath towels. Not happy at all.

Overall good location, need more hot choices for breakfast, toilet seat loose, shower curtain doesn't not repel water.

The staff was mediocre. The first morning, there was an incident involving a staff member getting mouthy with a guest. The housekeeping wasn't the best I've seen, or the worst. It's not the first time I've stayed here. At least this time the internet worked better.

At first glance beautiful hotel. Got into the room and the sheets were dirty. Then we noticed a Roach scurry across the dresser. The final straw was when sitting on the toilet the ceiling started leaking on my head.

First stay a hotel with no telephone in the room. Maintenance brought a phone but no jack to install. Coffee pot without tray for coffee. Borrowed iron from front desk but no board.

The suite was very nice...would make a nice dorm room ! All of the staff was very friendly and welcoming

Room was nice. Convenient & close to medical district. Housekeeping missed me one day. Took 2 calls & almost 3 hrs to get clean towels.

Toilet ran constantly, sink dropped non stop, elevator out of order almost 24 hours, free Wi-Fi had connectivity issues

Room cleanliness was disappointing, sheets were not fresh, very noisy air conditioning unit in the room. Poor breakfast..

Hotel was fine for our 4 night stay. It was clean and staff was pleasant.

This hotel surprised me with the relatively great reviews as we did not have a great stay. First off, I called ahead of time to have a roll away bed placed in the room for my son. When we arrived it was not there and was told none were available. When we got to the room it was discusting- the bed linens were dirty and stained, there were used towels in the bathroom and the carpet was stained all over as if it was a party room. Dust was everywhere and the tables and desks were sticky. If it wasn't so late I would have requested a different room on the the spot. Will never stay at a Microtel hotel again.

The bed did not sleep too well, there was some outside noise as there is a hospital nearby. Check in staff were friendly, checkout staff not so much

I stayed just one night for an interview less than a mile away. Room was good for what I needed. Friendly staff

The Microtel was clean and comfy. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. I used the laundry room - one washer and one dryer, but had to wait until someone else's laundry was done and removed. Even though there were 3 of us in the room, we only had 2 soaps and one shampoo. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They gave more supplies when asked. The lady in charge of breakfast took care of everyone as if they were her grandchildren. Nice place!

This was a great hotel. My daughter and I were in town for freshman orientation at ECU. The hotel was very conveniently located to ECU campus. Breakfast was great. Staff was VERY helpful when securing extra pillows, blankets, iron and ironing board. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. Prices were great!!!
