Good but not great

This is clearly a ski destination, so not the best for a summer stay. It’s at the top of the small ski mountain and the dirt road up the mountain had a lot of ruts from the rain. The owner did give us a heads up about the road last minute. The only ac is a single mini split in the living room….the one had fans in each room, so it was ok….but it was a hot week and not ideal. There appears to be electric baseboard heat for the winter so I am sure it’s nice and cozy. The listing shows 3 bedroom, but it’s really a 2 bedroom place. There is a mud room by the front door and there are 2 bunk beds there…but it’s next to the front door…not idea for a bedroom. They did have a set of bot warmers for the winter. There were tvs in every room including the mudroom. Internet signal was very weak, but it mostly worked. Kitchen and living room were excellent. Very comfortable and lots of room and apliances, etc. master bedroom was tight and the bed was a bit hard. 2nd bedroom had a great bed and lots of room.Overall, a nice place…but not ideal for the summer.

Great Ski Trip

We have never stayed on the mountain until this year! It’s so much easier than having to drag your stuff everyday into the lodge. The place was so nice & “homely”! It has a beautiful view!

Great place

Overall we had a wonderful stay. You can’t really beat the ski-in/ski-out feature of this condo! It is just so convenient and perfect. The place was clean. The carpet was the only thing I feel like has seen better days. . . The only thing my children had an issue with was the fact that the bunk beds are in the entryway so it doesn’t really feel like a bedroom and one of my children refused to sleep there because the front door was right there. That is obviously a personal problem but I didn’t really get that from the listing so I wish I knew so we could prepare for that. Also, people walk by that room so it can be loud. But like I said, overall a great stay and experience at Winterplace.

Great Stay

We had a multi-week August rental. The resort is closed during the summer (which we expected) so the area in and around the mountain was quiet. But the temperature at 3200 feet was very pleasant. The unit itself looks exactly as pictured, and the owners were terrific. Communication was excellent, and checking in was a breeze. The unit is fully set up for either a short or longer term stay. If you are looking for a place to stay in the Winterplace area, I definitely recommend this rental.

This property description says there is a "private gated pool" and a bidet. We were extremely disappointed when we tried to go for a swim and discovered there is NO POOL! Neither bathroom had a bidet either. One of the "bedrooms" was basically the condos entryway that happened to have bunk beds. The remote for one of the bedroom tvs didnt work. The property is described as a resort...it has more of the feel of a very old motel on top of a mountain.
