Picture perfect mountain getaway.

My family had an unforgettable stay at Red Bird’s Nest, and we’re already missing it! The home is beautifully appointed, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. It’s the perfect blend of mountain charm and modern convenience.The location was ideal—just 25 minutes from Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which made it easy to explore during the day and return to peace and quiet in the evenings. Whether we were sipping coffee on the porch, cooking meals together, or just enjoying some downtime as a family, this place felt like a true home away from home.My family enjoyed our time here immensely, and it was genuinely sad to leave. Thank you for sharing this special spot—we’ll cherish the memories and hope to return again soon!

Stunningly beautiful

When I picture “Smokey mountain cabin” in my mind the red birds nest is what I see. The cabin was perfect for our group (2 couples) in every way. Everything was as described, the cabin was well stocked and in a great location. We loved it and would be happy to stay again. A couple of cautionary notes, 1. Our GPS didn’t get us to the cabin, so when it says you have arrived watch for small signs leading in the rest of the way. 2. Two turns are very tight, larger vehicles may have difficulty, especially if you meet a car going the other way. 3. The bears are smart. They defeated the garbage locker and we had a mess to clean up on our last morning. In hindsight we should have used the garbage disposal more so there would have been less food garbage to attract them. Just life in bear country, not a big deal and we loved seeing them around the area, got some great pictures.

Loved the cabin and setting!

The cabin was in a lovely forest setting, well supplied with thoughtful items and appliances. It was clean, with beautiful decor and extra bedding and blankets if needed. There were two porches to sit outside for morning coffee. The trolley parking was a close drive for going into town, and a grocery store was also close. This place is highly recommended and we would love to visit again.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

Stayed here for 6 nights in May 2024. Perfect location for Gatlinburg and surrounding area. Well appointed, clean, easy check-in and quiet area. One minor issue came up but quickly resolved with cabin owner during stay. They even asked for additional feedback while we were solving the problem. Cabin will comfortably sleep 4 with 2 more on sofa bed. Outdoor areas lovely to enjoy. The drive up the hill is curvy, so take your time and just be careful of other cars traveling as well. As a plus for location, 10 minutes to grocery store and several great restaurants if you don't want to fight the crowds in Gatlinburg. Highly recommend this cabin and would stay again!

Beyond our expectations!

We stayed here for a Spring Break trip with our family. The location is great… it is easy to get to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but you feel like you are further away in the mountains.

Gorgeous cabin !

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and very well furnished for anyone’s needs for a vacation like we were at ,,,we were very pleased with this cabin however, the cabin we saw online and also called about, did not match this cabin, and I am curious as to why the cabin we chose is not the cabin we were given ,,, although, like I stated above, the cabin was absolutely beautiful !

20th Anniversary stay

This was the perfect spot to enjoy a few days away from it all to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! The cabin was darling and conveniently located to downtown Gatlinburg.
