Perfect low cost for pre-cruise. Staff was very friendly. Rooms clean but some mildew from humidity.

This was a bad experience for us. It is not the staffs fault...they don't have much to work with. Roaches roaches and more roaches...in fact, went to store and got a can of bug spray...rugs were so old that they caused our feet to turn black. Put down towels to walk on....just really bad. Again, not the staffs fault!

Old and dingy smell ,didn't like the back rooms #340. I'm not going back .

The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. If you can pay a little more for a better place, do it. Very close to the seawall, that was the only plus. Staff were nice, but not very helpful.

We chose this hotel due to its close proximity to the beach and to Pleasure Pier. Upon checking in, we walked to our room and found it dirty. There was a used towel hanging on the back of the door and it appeared there had been no attention to detail in preparing this room for the next guest (filthy floors, toilet with dried urine, etc). The front desk staff was more than willing to change our room, but not great first impressions and no offer for compensation of any kind. In addition, this property is in great need of updating. The elevator (only one in service) barely had a floor with a rug over the top and roaches were everywhere on the property. In short, we won't be back there are lots of other options with close proximity to the beach.

Nice staff! Got in early and tried to check in. Manager said our room wasn't ready but asked for my cell number to give us a call when it was. Also gave us the name of a little local diner where we had a fantastic lunch! About the time we finished eating he called to let us know our room was ready! Pass on the free breakfast tho....

Great Location but the hotel sucks. The rooms are dirty. We saw roaches in the restroom. The breakfast is just cold cereal, oatmeal, muffins, coffee, juice, and oranges. No more Tx. shaped waffles or bagels. The heated pool is awesome. Loud neighbors and several complaints to the front desk with no resolutions. We won't be back again.

Upon checking in I was given a pool room, after talking it over with Orbitz I was able to get a room with a view, my view was Kroger's parking lot. The room had a strong old smell to it, there were stains on the comforters. The water pressure was horrible. We were only given 2 bath towels. The beds were hard as a rock. The pool never had towels and when I asked at the front desk for some the lady told me that she didn't have any behind the counter but she would have some sent out, 2 hours later still no towels. The walkways looked like they were falling apart and the elevator floor felt like it was shifting when the elevator moved. The inside of the parking garage is not thought out, if you pull in and all spots are full there is no where to turn around so you have to back all the way out. The room AC was set on 65 but the room never got cold, just cool. The TV didn't get many channels and the ones it did get that were any good were fuzzy. People were smoking outside of my room so I could smell it really strong in my room (I am allergic so of course it made me sick) The dog that was in the room close to mine barked a lot so that was annoying. The staff didn't seem to care at all about the guests. I have learned my lesson, I will NEVER stay in a red roof hotel again for any amount of money

Right across from the beach, right next to a pretty good restaurant, close to Walmart. Good location.

Well I read the other reviews that mentioned issues with bugs, cleanliness and lack of towels but decided to take a chance. First off front desk staff was great. There was a cruise ship that didn't sail as planned and many upset people looking for rooms, they kept their cool and the line moving. When we got to the room I was pleasantly surprised as it did look like the photo. Upon closer inspection the duvet was stained, there was mold in the bathroom and only one towel for three people. No hand towels or wash rags at all. Do not turn out the lights after dark you have been warned! I made the mistake of getting up to go to the bathroom and crunch, small roaches everywhere. I am not talking about a couple of roaches, there were literally dozens on the floor and walls they appeared to come in from under the sink. Good news the light seemed to keep them at bay. Unfortunately this was not the only bug problem in this room. Our three year old grandson woke up with flea bites all over his body, when I went to look at his bedding I saw live fleas a jumping. I went to the front desk that morning and showed the lady the photos and told them they needed to fumigated. She was not surprised. One nice thing was that the pool was heated but it was dirty and I cut my foot on broken plaster on the pool floor. It was kinda amusing as they had towels by the pool but people kept coming and taking them for their rooms.

The pics did not over sold the room. Upon arrival. The bedsheets had stains on them. The bedskirt had throw up on it. And the bathroom had mildew the tub. Ended up getting relocated to another hotel. Never again.

This experience was not pleasant. First off dont parl under the hotel's garage area my truck got broke in 2. Found the guy. Coming out of my truck. He said he was sleeping and not stealing after i punch him. He got in to his truck. So what was he doing in my truck?

Found the room to be dated and worn. Had a few bugs in the room and the bed spread had stains on it.

was a great price with great location across from the beach, but omg the staff was rude, tried to tell us we did not have a room reservation, then told us they did not have a room ready and would call us. walked across the street to eat a early dinner, just ordered our food and they called and said our room was ready and needed to get there right away. told them we just ordered our food and to hold our room, they did but then we got the most dirtiest room i have ever been in, smelled bad, floors were dirty, shower was dirty and you could tell the room had not been cleaned and looked like all they did was changed the sheets and put in a couple of clean towels and they left tip envelopes expecting a tip for something that was not done, yeah i don't think so. will not stay here again unless they clean up the STAFF.

We didn't even stay the night. We walked in the room, smelled the mold and mildew and turned around and left. The staff was very friendly and immediately refunded our money, but this hotel is in terrible shape.

Close to beach with very nice view of ocean. Bad thing is the amenities were rusty and not properly maintained. Price you pay is worth the view and access to beach and 61st pier; but not the room itself.

The old adage about "you can't judge a book by the cover " has never been more evident! Looks great from the outside, but go back and look at the title! Never again!

I waited over an hour to be checked in and room still wasn't ready. I accepted another room, but it had a blocked view. I overheard the guy offer another guest checking in a discount for their wait, but not me. I checked out immediately and was still charged for the night.

Breakfast had alot to be desired but hotel was close to the beach so I guess that made up for it.

the man a the desk let me ck in and a bit early and you know that was a blessing
