Hotel was very nice and clean. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was nice for the most part. The young man at the front desk seemed like he didn't want to help anyone. Overall, it was a nice stay.

Hotel is clean and near shops and UF, convenient place to stay when visiting your kids in UF

Traveling with our dog and this hotel is billed as per friendly. That means when you show up they stick you in a room that is smoking-no ifs, ands or butts (sic). The room stank so bad I couldn't wear any of my clothing the rest of the trip because of the cigarette smell. So if you bring a dog, you get treated as a second class citizen.

I booked this hotel for my husband and his brother since we couldn't get a room at the hotel we stayed at earlier this year. My husband said we will book at this hotel again since it is in an excellent location: close to stores, gas station and right off the freeway. They both were very happy with it and said the beds were really comfortable. Definitely a good value for the money.

I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express when I visit Gainesville. It's consistently clean with a good breakfast. Parking is never an issue, and it's very accessible to the interstate and Archer Rd. Since I'm typically in town to attend conferences at the university, this location is great for getting to the SW side of campus. Plus, lots of good restaurants are nearby. I like the layout of the rooms and the bathroom is always so clean! Great spot for trips.

This is my favorite place to stay in Gainsville.also i have stayed at this location three times in the past, reason being easy access to interstate .75 hwy.

We had a nice stay. Our toilet was clogged when we arrived and was repaired within minutes of our calling the front desk. Most of the staff was very personable. There was one woman at the front desk on the night shift (around 11 pm) who could use some customer service reminders. I would stay here again and would recommend this Holiday Inn to friends and family.

checked in super fast, great room, breakfast and snack. Room price doubled for graduation.

We have two yorkies that travel with us almost everywhere we go. We always appreciate pet friendly hotels like this Holiday Inn Express in Gainsville,FL. Our room was conveniently located to walk them and there was safe areas to walk them. The room was awesome in size, cleanliness, amenities and comfort except we are non-smokers and had to take a smoking room due to having pets. The smoke smell was very strong even though they graciously came and spray air & fabric freshener the smell was still present but thankful to be able to have my pups!

i got to the hotel late. The staff was very helpful i checking me in and getting me to bed.

A good clean hotel. Easy access off the interstate. Room was clean. Nice big shower. Ceiling fan in room was great extra. More than I wanted to pay but nice place.

Very clean room, low noise level from other rooms, good breakfast, overall a very good stay

I liked the hotel very much and its location. If you will be in Gainesville for several days, then make sure you rent a car. I will be returning there.

Had a great time room was great! The staff was wonderful!

Room was average. It was obvious that it is an old building with some upgrades. The bathroom needs upgraded badly! The toilet ran all night long keeping us awake and the shower / bathtub was outdated.

I think this hotel is in the nicer part of town with plenty of restaurants and located right on highway I-75. Room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. There's free and fast Wi-Fi and a computer with a printer for use in the lobby. You also get complementary water bottles if you ask for it in the reception. Parking is free.Breakfast was reasonable as well.

Lots of restaurant and shopping choices! UF and Oaks Mall are just a drive away. The only bad thing was is that my husband had a stained pillow...before he slept on it.

I stay at HIE whenever I can. Friendly staff, nice room. Breakfast. Good location.

The hotel was clean, free breakfast was great, best deal in town. Will stay here again.

very nice hot breakfast, very helpful staff; however, the room was extremely damp, as most of them are that have that kind of cooling system and the rug was smelly, but most hotel rooms have smelly rugs because guests always walk around in stinky bare feet. Strangely, I had a very poor cell ph one signal at this location.
