Nice hotel with decent location to downtown. Bed was a nice memory foam.
We stayed here two nights as we explored the castles. The fellow who checked us in was great! Gave us suggestion to walk to Lechfalls and for restaurants and how to get to the castles. The room we had was large (#5) and had a nice patio and view of the garden. The only downside was that the bed was too soft for us (had a foam/gel topper). We could walk everywhere to shop, explore sites and eat. Quaint and cute breakfast room. Nice attendant who was very welcoming.
Definitely reminiscent of Ludwig II. No lift so we had to schlep stuff up the winding stairs. Breakfast wonderful with delightful outside eating area. Close to city center.
We had a short overnight at hotel Fantasia at the end of November before going to schloss neuschwanstein the next day. We got in a little late and not much was opened that time of year at night, but it was a cute little town, very walkable from the little train station. The staff was very nice and helpful on how to get to the castles, and they had a nice breakfast in the morning before we left for our tour. Overall it was a great location, especially if you are traveling by train.
