Nice hotel , stayed here this March. Staff was very helpful and nice. Rooms were clean and recently Renovated. Air conditioning did not work as you can’t adjust it on your own which we found to be unpleasant. But overall ok. The daily breakfast was convenient for sure . Just enough to get you going for the day. Common spaces seemed a little dated, but all in all this was a great value. I’d stay here again. There’s many walkable destinations near by.

The hotel is really good. From the train station it is only a few minutes and you can reach special tourist points (e.g Ponte Vecchio) in max. 10 minutes. Also you can find very good restaurants or bars nearby (within 30 minutes - just check TripAdvisor ;-)). The staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast was ok, considering that Italians did not really have breakfast. The room was really quiet even if it was facing the street. Unfortunately, we only had a closet, where you could hang up jackets.

This small hotel leaves you with such beautiful memories. The nice continental breakfasts , comfortable rooms and the closeness to all that Florence has to offer. The best thing though is the staff. The owners a brother and sister and the whole team go far out of their way to make your stay so so wonderful. Nothing was ever to much trouble for them. Thank you we were so pleased to have found this hotel

We stayed at the Hotel Unicorno for four nights as part of our honeymoon around Italy. The location is excellent, just five minutes from the train station and a stone's throw from the Santa Maria Nouvella and the river. Everything is so easy to access on foot with the Duomo only 10 minutes away. The staff at the hotel are wonderful - so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Unfortunately the room itself was very basic. The bathroom was very old and tired although everything was meticulously clean. The air con was very poor, at some points it made it hotter in the room than it was outside. We were situated towards the back of the building however due to the central location there was a lot of street noise. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything in the rooms around you and we seemed to have the waste pipe for the rooms above going past our room so you had a fairly continuous rushing of water through the day and night. The lift is very small - we just managed to squeeze two of us and two cases in and noisy, we could hear it throughout the night despite not being near it. The breakfast was basic but sufficient. All in all the location and wonderful staff go some way to making up for the shortfall. Overall we had a good stay but I don't think we'd return here in the future.

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. Location is fine closing to S M Novella Florence Station, 10-12 minutes walking on foot. Hotel room is big enough and inside facilities are designed in old style. Bathroom shower system is rather weak low water pressure. Breakfast is good with adequate choices. The disappointed point was that due to the hot temperature I switched on air-conditioner but it was not worked at last.

We like this hotel. It is fairly close to the railway station in the centre of Florence, it isn't the most luxurious but it is clean, convenient, friendly and reliable. The rooms are a little old-fashioned in style but very typically Italian, air-conditioned and comfortable enough for us. The street outside is busy and noisy but as long as the double-glazed and inner windows are shut, most of the noise is kept out. Breakfasts are simple but ample and continental, with all that you can expect from that, including fresh fruit and fruit cocktail. The wifi is free, not the fastest connection but it works. This is our second stay at the hotel. The staff have not changed, which is a good sign. We would happily book again should we be going to Florence.

On the first night our room was next door to the breakfast room which was a bit odd, but that wasn't the issue we had with the room. We didn't get any sleep on the first night because of the noise. You could hear everything from the cars and people outside, to the noise of running water above. It was so loud that it sounded like the ceiling was going to collapse! The next day we asked whether we could change rooms and the lady at the front desk was very helpful and placed us in another room at the back which was a lot better. Please be aware that the walls are very thin as you can hear conversations very clearly from the other rooms. Earplugs are a must! Breakfast was average The location of the hotel was excellent as it's very close to Piazza di Santa Maria Novella and 5mins walk to the main station.

We stayed about 4 nights. We had a beautiful room on the last floor, I think it was new. Really nice room we loved it, the service was perfect and the people working here where the nicest. Location is so nice, it's like a 5 min from anything and there's a little marked In from the hotel. We where just a little disappointed with the breakfast, little sad not a lot of things… Anyway I recommande this hotel, with a not judging personnel, and a great price.

The hotel is very close to the train station which was good for us because we were travelling around the country this way. The room was a good size and there was plenty of space for our luggage. The bathroom was clean but very basic and could do with some improvement. The hotel is situated close to all the main sightseeing areas and places to eat. The staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We would be happy to stay again. Thank you

Located close to the station ( 10min) and close to the duomo ( 10min also), this hotel is ideally located for discovering the city center of Florence. An arangement for Parking can be done with a nearby garage (although costly, but is it the same everywehere in Florence). It looks like some rooms ( including mine) were redone, while some still are not renovated...we got lucky this time.
