Everyone was great but I can't remember all the names. Andrew at front desk and the great staff is why I give it a 4. Otherwise it would be a 3 or less. Brand new building and gym reminds me of the old days. 2 treadmills and one elliptical and some dumbbells. Business travelers need more to stay healthy. Gym had and empty water cooler and couldn't get it refilled. Luckily great staff gave me a free bottle of water. Starbucks had no natural duvet and no half and half cream. Hope they can fix the small issues.
Not the quality Marriott that I am used to. Pros: comfortable bed and great location. Cons: noisy hvac in the room. Funny smell. Stained carpets. We stayed 3 nights in 2 different rooms and same results....unable to sleep. The old school heater is a big noisy machine sitting in the room under the window. Every time it tries to come on it makes a tremendous amount of noise. This happens all through the night unless you turn it off completely and then freeze. We will have to find a different hotel in the future. Suggestions to courtyard: upgrade hvac to a central system that is external to the room.
We stayed at the Courtyard Fayetteville during the holidays for two nights. Location - The hotel is located near restaurants and shopping. There is a mall down the road, and a Texas Roadhouse right across the street. Staff - The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. Bistro - All Courtyards now have a bistro in the lobby. You can order food & drink for dining in or take out. They also serve Starbucks coffee. Room - The hotel is actually an older location. The lobby and bistro have been updated, but the rooms should be updated and the hallways need brighter lighting. Though, the beds are very comfortable and room was very clean.
Pros: Good location for Ft Bragg Friendly, accommodating staff Clean (although worn) rooms Newer lobby & bathrooms Breakfast (for purchase) is good an reasonably priced Cons: No Marriott Rewards benefits of any kind (e.g. no breakfast for gold/platinum members) Substantial noise from floor above
Well got there late around 10 and the place was very nice inside and out.The clerk that greeted us was extremely nice.Room was nice the bed was extremely comfy. No to the negative, the floors are not concrete we were on the 2nd FL there for getting in late and not settling in to around 12 the people above us started moving around upstairs at 630 am.I could hear every step they took. That being said great place if your on the 3rd FL and maybe free breakfast
I am extremely tired and so overwhelmed with the handling and customer service experience this morning with the incompetent representative Tonya, of your Fayetteville Marriott. THE WORST attempt to check in experience we have ever had since being a Marriott Rewards member. We arrived at the hotel after 12 midnight and 8 hours of tireless traveling . Tonya stated come back in 15 minutes, because she needed to run the audit but would be more than happy to check us in. We gave her and hour and 15 minutes. Upon arriving back she proceeded to check me in. Tonya stated the card declined that was presented to her. I contacted Marriott Rewards and the bank, they did not show an attempt the card was even ran. Then presented Tonya 3 additional cards. Tonya stated all 3 cards declined. By this time I am highly puzzled. Tonya stated all cards declined and the same story was rendered. All banks and Marriott Customer service indicated that Tonya was not doing something properly. My son then provided his card and she stated that his card declined. (4 cards!!!!) Tonya then offered to show me her screen and I as the guest immediately noticed that Tonya was not replacing the payment with the cards handed to her . Tonya's screen displayed a card ending in 7681, which was the old card on file and we had told her a thousand times that was the issue. Tonya stated we would need to update the profile. The profile was updated with another card and still Tonya did not know what she was doing. Tonya called someone and began the cancellation of our reservation and begin to revert to check in is at 3pm. Well we were not trying to check in on Tuesday, yet Monday and we explained that to TONYA, who before her error and blistering issue had no problem with the check in time. !!!If that was even an issue , then why would she make us come back after she ran her audit!!! Tonya's lack of empathy and knowledge of how to SIMPLY replace a GOLD ELITE member's credit card on file with another one, once they arrive at the location is quite embarrassing and UNACCEPTABLE. It is clear Tonya needs training on how to replace a payment method. I am without a hotel room tonight because she stated she didn't know how to change the payment method and only offered that I pay $100 in cash. Because of the lack of knowledge of Tonya and her unacceptable customer service, we as Marriott Reward members HAS HIGHLY SUFFERED. 3 hours and STILL we are WITHOUT a hotel room. There is no excuse for this. We have traveled a long distance and to be failed and refused a check in by The Fayettevile Marriott Courtyard is highly unacceptable.
We stayed at this wonderful property for a couple of days while visiting the area. The room was spacious, clean, modern, comfortable. Staff very friendly, and provided us with useful local information. It is close to Fort Bragg. The area immediately near the hotel has plenty of shopping, fuel, and places to eat. A friend took us to Fort Bragg, and we toured the Airborne Museum and the Special Forces Museum a must for those that can. We used the laundry, and detergent was available for free at the front desk. I think we had to pay for the washing machine but not the dryer. One point was that the bathroom door has an automatic lock, we closed the door as we had items hang drying. We couldn't get back in at 6am, and had to call the poor woman on the front desk to come to with a key. LOL!! It require a real key, or likely the old keys before the electronic locks. My wife had to rush to use the lobby bathroom. Everything resolved within minutes. We went to a place in North Carolina called South Of the Border, less than an hour from the hotel on I-95. That was a fun place, fireworks, kitch items, t-shirts, food, fuel. They were very helpful on our day of departure, as a hurricane was about to strike. They told us to get an early start (7am) for Raleigh as these storms can result in more accidents on I-95 etc. They were indeed correct as the highway closed about 2 hours after we left. So a great big hug for their wise travel tip. We will be staying there again.
At first glance everything looked renovated but the bathroom could have been updated more. I really liked the vanity outside of the bathroom / shower area. Overall not too bad--would stay there again.
This place looks renovated and feels outdated. Staff are friendly. One elevator not near the lobby and is slow, your best off parking near your room from the side entrance then walking around long hall way. Don't stay in room with hall air ventilation is blowing as is a bit noisy. The phone messaging system did not work and did mention this to the front desk, no fix. Gym equipment missing heavier weights, largest was 25 lbs where there should be 50 lbs. Room was clean, no free breakfast, wifi good even at the end corner of building. A few restaurant within walking distance which is convenient due to late work days. Was their for business due to hurricane matthew a few days after it was over. Checked in and no mention that the city had a boil water in effect for a few days already. Found out only when went to eat at a nearby restaurant. They were serving food on a paper plates as they couldn't wash the regular dishes and provided water gallon jugs in the restroom to wash your hand. Unlikely will return to this hotel, hilton garden inn and home 2 suites is down the road would be the next choice.
This property is in an excellent location convenient to restaurants, mall/shopping center and All American Freeway. The staff is friendly and accomodating. Like many Courtyard properties it has a courtyard and the view of the pool and quietness of the rooms on the courtyard side are my choice. The front desk offered discount cards for restaurants in the area such as free appetizers etc. The Bistro is a good spot in the hotel for Breakfast with a nice variety of options on the menu including eggs made to order. The property was clean and in a safe location.
