Nice clean friendly breakfast wasn’t a whole lot but it was satisfactory. Quiet which was nice with my dog

Despite being a pet friendly hotel, this hotel was clean and didn’t smell bad. The rooms were very clean. (I am very picky about cleanliness.) Tori, Kaitlyn, and the manager were all absolutely helpful and wonderful to us. They gave our dog a treat and seemed to really enjoy that she was there. They were so kind to our children. I was sick with nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy and they let me check out late. The pool was sparkling. Breakfast had many options and the dining room was very clean and comfortable. They even had organic tea! The best hotel we have stayed in during all our travels this fall. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

First the good: room and lobby smelled really fresh and clean upon arrival. Everything was clean. Loved how plates, forks, bowls, tea packets, etc were kept out in the breakfast area all day because we went in there several times to get paper plates or forks to use in our room. Was so convenient. Breakfast was always ready before stated time, which was very handy for us as we always had to leave by 7 every morning over the weekend and we still were able to eat breakfast. Cleaning staff was VERY friendly. Very little noise after 10pm as quiet time was at 10. Bad: the young lady who checked us in (Sarah) offered no “hello”, no “enjoy your stay”, nothing nice. She wasn’t rude, but not friendly at all. Not one time we’re we greeted by staff behind the desk in the three nights that we stayed there. Terrible sewage smell outside of hotel...never smelled it inside thank goodness. Room was so cold upon arrival (60) that sheets were damp from the humidity. We were placed in the same hallway as cleaning and laundry room, so around 6am the activity was so much so that there was definitely no sleeping past 6. Could hear any stomping or running from the children staying above us. That was annoying, but didn’t ruin our stay. All-in-all a pleasant stay and would stay there again.

When I arrived, the woman at the front desk was very pleasant. I was checked in quickly, given my keys, and went to my room which happened to be on the first floor. The room was clean and spacious. That is where the positives stop! The first night, all night, we were woken up multiple times by doors shutting in the hallway. The doors slam shut which made for a restless night. The second night, they had rented out either a room or common space for a huge birthday party for adults. We were woken up multiple times with people screaming in the hallways, slamming doors, yelling in the parking lot. We called the front desk several times after 11:30pm (note that quiet hours are advertised from 10pm-7am). We were told “It is a birthday party. They have the space until 1am.” So, in other words, who cares about the other paying guests who are being disturbed all throughout the night. It finally quieted down around 1:30am only to be woken up yet again at 5:30am. I called the front desk AGAIN and was told “we believe is is people leaving from the party”. No apology, no “is there anything we can do”. I checked out later that morning and the person at the front desk never asked how my stay was, never apologizes for any distruptions from the night. Nothing at all. If you want quiet and relaxing, this is not the place to go. What I thought would be a relaxing weekend for my boyfriend the last two nights before his deployment to Afghanistan turned into a beyond stressful stay.

Spotty wifi in certain areas, works ok when you can get connected. We also had to stuff towels around the heater/air conditioner because of very cold air blowing in around the edges. Outside temps were in the single digits so it was ice cold. Had to keep the heater going non stop as high as it could be set just to keep the room comfortable. The towels seemed to have worked and the heater could then cycle like normal. Other than that the hotel was nice and have no complaints.

Excellent location near several restaurants and groceries. Friendly staff. Great continental breakfast including hot food. Workout room and indoor pool. More like a hotel than motel. Would definetly stay here again.

I have been going to the E-town Blues, Brews, Bikes and BBQ festival for several years. I have stayed at the Motel 6 several times because of the price. I noticed a decline in service, cleanliness, and an unfriendly staff when needing something. Then I realized I was getting what I paid for or trying to get what I pay for. From now on I will gladly pay the extra to stay at Red Lion. Room, breakfast, cleanliness, and friendliness were all fantastic. You get what you pay for at Red Lion. Thanks

This Hotel was as advertised, A great stopping point for road trips through Kentucky. The staff was friendly and the facilities were very clean.
