First off, it’s not a Red Roof Inn, it’s Oyo or something. Second, the pictures are VERY misleading, the rooms are very run down and dingy, not at all what’s in the pictures. There was a musty smell with hints of tabaco throughout the whole place. It was damp in the room and the bed was not clean, I looked under the sheets. The carpets were filthy. There were random people running in to get food and drinks from the closed kitchen area at 1 am and leaving. It’s exactly how the couple from an earlier review who was refunded their money described it. I also left, but unfortunately was not refunded my money. I left anyway.

Came down to work a few weeks at the CF plant next door and stayin with Red Roof. Very impressed with the service and rooms. Front desk suggested some good places to eat around town. Will be staying here again when I come back in January!

This is by far the best Red Roof Inn I had ever stayed inn. The staff was very friendly. Jennifer and Christine welcomed me as soon as I walked in the door. they made me feel special. they stated they wanted to give me the WOW effect, and they did. I will be returning to the Red Roof Inn in Donaldsonville in my next visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Came to the area to apply for a job decided to stay the night before the long drive back home. Room was clean and the workers were very nice and helpful. If I hired on I will definitely be staying here.

I was surprised when I walked in and saw my favorite ladies from the Port Allen Red Roof! Granted this hotel looks old and out dated but everything was very clean and smelled good. I will definitely come back. pictures showed nice clean rooms. Upon walking into the lobby we could tell right away it was not at all what it was supposed to be. The rooms were dirty & run down!! It smelled very musty like it had been flooded and the comforter had holes in it!! The trim on the baseboards had all been ripped off the walls and there was nails sticking out.. It was very damp and cool feeling, the bed and sheets felt wet upon touch because it was so damp in the room. The furniture was run down and chipped and beat up. The couch was covered in stains and this was in the king suit so I'd hate to see the other rooms!! The man at the front desk was very friendly and when we told him it was not at all what was advertised he had no problem refunding our money.. Filthy and stinky that's all I can say!!

The hotel staff was very friendly. The only problem that I had was with the internet. So if you need internet service, I would not recommend this hotel. If internet is no concern, I would recommend this hotel. I rate it average because of the internet; it would be a very good rating if it was working.

I have stayed at this location several times before. This was the most unpleasant experience that I have had. I will not go into details, but I will say that the GM got with me promptly about the concerns that I had which spoke volume to me. I would suggest to any future guests who may have any concerns to inform the front desk to have the GM to call you and she will make it right. She understands the importance of hospitality. I would recommend this location.

We stayed there for a family wedding. I called the hotel itself about 2 months before the wedding to book directly. When I got there Friday night, She could not locate my reservation. When I gave my confirmation number, she located it but wrong address. She then announced my credit card number in the lobby. Our room had an odor. Carpet was stained. Bed was comfortable Our friends checked out immediately. It looked like sofa was covered with blood. Gross!!!

The individual staff members were terrific, but the hotel property and systems were antiquated. The hotel required a 3 day advance cancellation without a full room charge penalty being incurred. Flooding in LA was a concern, but we were able to make it to hotel by 9pm. We had not cancelled our stay, but our reservation appeared to have been gone or cancelled. Hotel staff required us to provide credit card again, but equipment wasn't working, and so we waited well over 20 minutes while staff tried to validate credit card again. They had to leave front desk and take my card to a back room repeatedly. Hotel management had to be contacted by phone to allow us to stay and use AAA card for discount even though my prior reservation had confirmed. I did present my printed Best Western confirmation page with confirm# and AAA rate and credit card guarantee. Cleaning and other staff were very friendly, but hall carpet smelled of mildew. Front desk staff was very friendly, but again at checkout I could see their systems were all out of date and not working properly. They couldn't print a simple final bill for me. First I had to wait as the only person at front desk was doing breakfast cleanup, then had to answer incoming front desk calls, then could finally help me. She was very nice and tried to accommodate, but again had to disappear to back room for a long time. When I went down hall to ask about, she didn't know if or how long it would take to print my bill/receipt. I decided to leave. This hotel seemed to be operating like a hotel would have 25 years ago, but without the manual systems in place back then. Completely paralyzed by normal hotel technology, or lack of it. They don't belong in Best Western family unless they can modernize. Again, the staff was trying very hard, but clearly not the issue.
