There were dead bugs everywhere! The carpet had stains everywhere. We needed sheets for the pullout sofa and it took over an hour for them to be delivered. The kids had fun in the pool, but it was dark and pretty dirty too.
We stayed for a night to attend an event in one of the banquet rooms. If you are booking for a banquet, I'd be concerned about the tired lobby if you are wanting to make a good impression on guests. The furniture is faded, dirty, and just not great looking. The fountain is old, tired, and not functioning. There were big pieces of black tape on the floors covering who-knows-what. Banquet room itself had old and dirty carpeting. The whole place just looks tired. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful. Bartender was friendly, food was so-so at the restaurant. Banquet staff was FABULOUS. So helpful and accommodating as we were setting up, and they checked with us throughout the night to be sure things were going well. Banquet food wasn't great, unfortunately. Not much flavor, and hot food arrived lukewarm or cold. The Bartenders at the banquet were really wonderful. Bathrooms near banquet room were not great. I was really shocked to see ceiling tiles missing over the stalls. Water was freezing cold, and the restrooms needed a good cleaning. Hotel room was not good at all. Toilet ran throughout the night. Carpet was pulling away from the walls, and the whole room was just tired in general. The A/C did not work well at all and the weather was hot and humid. We heard a lot of noise in the hallways throughout the night. We witnessed someone trying to check in who had a reservation and kids wanting to use the water park. They were told their reservation was cancelled due to events at the hotel and need for the rooms. The woman was justifiably upset having thought she had booked a room and come all that way with kids. The front desk person was pretty rude, and didn't seem to care at all that they had inconvenienced someone. Lots of people complaining about water park being closed because the lifeguard didn't show up. Corporate needs to give this location a lot of attention. Staff was great despite the poor conditions. I wouldn't recommend, or book anything here until they address issues.
Very dirty mold everywhere nothing worked the ice machines and room door wouldn’t open. Couldn’t connect to WiFi, very disappointed. Our room had clothes left behind from previous guest. The tub had hair in it the toilet seat was broke
This is the third different room in my last couple weeks staying in this hotel. The water park is shut down until further notice. The front desk person is typically doing something else. The place is being held together by caulk and paint. I walked into my room and took a shower and counted literally 4 different pieces and types of hair in the shower alone. One long piece on the toilet tank lid, one long piece draped over the soap dish on the sink, another long piece in the sink. These where all in places that should have been cleaned. Oh and one pube on my washcloth! The chair for the desk has food smashed into the mesh. The fridge is wet on the inside. The AC sounds like a zippy car reving up and then once it’s going sounds like a tornado or bomb siren. Each room I’ve stayed in was similar, however I will say the second one was a bit cleaner and probably the suite. One of the elevators has a very foul smell trapped in the carpet similar to what I smelled in a delivery room of a child ( I’m a tough guy with smells but had to put my shirt over my nose). I’m opting to drive two hours one way to see my family during this trip multiple times per week as I don’t want them to stay in this gross hotel. I didn’t take pictures because I showered after I turned on the water etc and realized the hairs after I stepped in. Ooooh yeah and black colored mold creepy out of the ceiling edges in the bathroom, most likely due to the fake ventilation (sucks in air and filters through a scented screen and back into the room) ceiling are maybe 7ft
The Staff overwhelmed and seemed to have limited resources at their disposal to offer better hotel experience. They tried hard and did things to accommodate my family. Rooms need attention, as does A/C in parts of hotel. Ice machine broken and other issues reported by my wedding party, not going to list here.
This was our family’s second stay at this hotel. We had a nice experience the first time and the six of us were looking forward to this stay primarily for the indoor water park. Unfortunately our plans were deflated when the front desk told us a lifeguard called in sick so the water park would be closed the rest of the day. The front desk staff suggested a few local water park alternatives and offered to adjust our bill if we decided to check out early. I understand things happen but the “lack of care attitude” by the staff coupled with slow service and unappealing restaurant conditions figuratively and literally left a bad taste on our mounts. We will look at other hotel options next time.
If they fixed the property, it's be great. It's in a great location. The place is big enough, to get lost in. The restaurant serve a great breakfast, the staffs was great. They was, caring and you didn't look for them when you need something.
Worst stay I've had in a while. The staff was rude, the hotel was filthy, the checking in and out process took way too long. The water park is NOT included in the cost of the room. Then getting wrist bands took forever since there was no front counter person to be found. They took the money for the room off my credit card TWICE, even though I paid cash. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone!
Bride had bed bugs in her room. We experienced problem after problem Definitely would not stay here again. They tried to charge us for the waterpark $10 per person. I said I thought that was the whole reason that we got a room was for the water park. Finally they let us in but they were closing early for the weekend. 🤷🏻♀️
Fire alarm when off all but one of the days we stayed there - including two nights in the middle of the night several times. Fridge door dented, bathroom door knob broken and duct tape placed over the latch, pubic hairs found in the tub upon check in, garbage found on floor in bathroom that never got cleaned up over our entire stay, beds uncomfortable, dirty room, food smashed into the desk chair fabric, elevator broken, rude staff, poor maintenance, rodents living under the sidewalk that come out occasionally to eat grass, unsafe outlets that pull out of the wall when you try to unplug your cord, beds didn't get made first night, toilet wobbles when you sit on it, tv freezes up when watching shows, one bed had a bedskirt the other didn't, floor not vacuumed during our stay.
