Fort George Hotel & Spa
4/5 Good
"Hotel was nice, clean and staff were friendly. Very little amentities and not very easy to get around outside of the hotel. Was told several times, it was not safe to walk after dusk. Our first day there we called a taxi and waited for about an hour an no one showed up. We were told that "regular" taxis have a green license plate and personal taxis (individuals) have a bc or something like that on their license plate. We never got a "real" taxi, so we were often sceptical about going places because we weren't sure who was going to show up to get us. There's not much to do around the hotel. No entertainment. And only 1 restaurant on the property. The food was "mid" and overpriced, so you have to catch a taxi early to go eat somewhere else. One night while dining at the restaurant on the property, we ordered a cheeseburger. They literally brought us back cheese on a burger bun. You have to specifically ask for beef or you'll end up with a grilled cheese sandwich. Overall it was good vacation and good experience."
