Our family made a quick trip to Des Moines to visit the zoo with the two little grandkids. This location was perfect. We enjoyed being close to great food and the zoo. Although it rained (which was a welcome relief from the heat) and we didn’t get to enjoy the back yard, it is a great setup-hot tub, fire pit, and loads of shade.

Wonderful Spot for Extended Family to Gather

We had a family group including parents, siblings, cousins, aunts, and a grandmother gather from 4 different states to celebrate our daughter's graduation from law school. The hosts were amazing from booking to arrival and departure. The home was comfortable, well stocked with essential to cook some family meals and very clean. The updated bathrooms, tasteful décor, and comfortable beds helped make a special weekend even more wonderful. Absolutely plan to stay there again!

Sisters Get Away

Three families came together to enjoy a couple days of togetherness here, and we couldn't have asked for better accommodations. So cozy and comfortable! Hot tub, huge dining room table, game zone, well stocked kitcgen and comfy beds were favorites. Definitely recommend!!

Corn Crib Review

The property was very homey. We all had a great time. We celebrated Thanksgiving, played cards, watched movies and had a great time visiting with family. On Monday my granddaughter from TN worked using WiFi.

Great stay!

Family trip

Property was as advertised. It was perfect for our group. This is an older house, but bedrooms have window unit AC which work great to keep you cool. Backyard is nice with hot tub, fire pit, etc. Owners we’re great to work with. Nice property.

Weekend Trip

Had a bachelor party in Des Moines and this was an amazing home base. Plenty of seating in the backyard to visit and plenty of room for everyone. Highly recommend if you have a large group in town.

Great place to stay!

We had so much fun at the Corn Crib! Matt and Mariah made the check-in process very easy. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the firepit, grill, and hot tub in the private backyard. The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The beds were really comfortable and the house was overall very cozy. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent for young and young at heart.

The house is beautiful inside. Clean as a whistle. 3 stories with the top as a gaming area. The back yard was inviting with a hot tub,grill and fire pit including wood. Two long sofas and a huge soft chair in the living room. 2nd level 3 BR with soft comfy beds and great pillows. Closets and dressers. This place is wonderful we may come back if given the chance.

Bachelorette Weekend

The Corn Crib is amazing! The house was very clean and well kept. There was 11 of us staying at the house and we were all impressed at how cozy and inviting the house was. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The backyard was a great place to hang out. Communication with the owners was great! We definitely recommend staying here if you have a big group. You'll love it!!

We had a great time here. The backyard was the best part. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Hot tub was awesome. The hosts checked in daily to see if we needed anything. We loved every minute and it made our wedding weekend spectacular

We enjoyed our stay at the Corn Crib! The kitchen was well-equipped, beds were comfy, house was clean. We had planned to use the hot tub, but ran out of energy before we got to it.

Golf getaway

Four retired guys on a golf outing. Nice clean house, was able to watch the NHL hockey playoffs on a big screen tv and the hot tub was great!!! Thank you- hope to do it again next year.

You won’t regret it

This is an old home that has been tasteful redone. It offers lots of space. It snowed while we were staying and the owners did a great job of letting us know when to expect the snow removal crew and what areas they would be in so there weren’t any surprises. The hot tub was amazing. The location is great. So close to many restaurants & Drake area. I highly recommend this house. We plan to rent it again.
