The Timbers - An All Suite Hotel

3.0 out of 5.0

The room was a good layout. However it was dated and many things were broken like the lock on the front door, lighting, closet, etc. Furniture had stains.

The hotel is built with the right idea, big rooms, nice lobby, etc. Friendly and helpful front desk. That's all the positives there is - the main culprit is maintenance - the room that we had, the power sockets in the alcove do not work, the lights flicker, the knob on the bedside lamp is missing. When I checked in, another guest was at the front desk giving feedback about door handles missing, loose ceiling board, and hair dryers that don't work (mine kind of works but cuts off after a while - needs to cool down every few minutes). The carpets along the corridor are threadbare, the furnishings are old. The hotel loops around an internal grass courtyard that seems unkempt - seems like a waste of space. I hear they are going to remodel, so maybe they are just "waiting" - pity as this hotel seems to have potential, if only maintenance does their job properly.

Room #190 has a shower floor that after my use, flooded the floor - going past the drain and depositing water that fed the mold growing inside and out both sides of the wall. Next I was assigned a room were the noise coming from the shower vent was horrible and medium-loud. And constant! (I witnessed the front desk manager say to the new help, "Oh, you put him in that room! I'm sorry. We just moved a guest from there") Third try, I was given # 194 which was a well worn (And the only "All-Suite" as their name implied) suite. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast - fine given the circumstances. Tear this place down. All rooms had some major or minor wear/tear health issues. No - I cannot recommend this place short of a blizzard shutting down your travel plans

Huge rooms. Courtyard is a complete disaster. Staff was friendly.

This hotel in neither clean not in a nice or safe area, I would not recommend it, spend the extra 10 dollars and save your life.

Loved the accommodations and was not to far from the airport. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a shuttle service.

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. My room was dark, dirty, gross. Unsafe, even, as it had a door that opened to a bizarre area off the parking lot and could easily have been broken into. Same with the windows. The hotel charges you an additional $200 for 'the pet they do not see". Out of 13 electric outlets in this suite only 2 worked. I had to blow dry my hair in the kitchen, over the sink.

The hitel is good value for money , although not in great shape it makes up for it in great staff and the free breakfast and finger food dinner !!

Great room, great staff. Needed a place to stay until my flight the next day. Close to downtown Denver, super friendly staff and offered me dinner and breakfast.

Staff very friendly, lobby coffee good, breakfast what u would expect. The facility is very run down however. They don't spend any money on the upkeep and maintenance of the property. Broken lift (had to use stairs), broken luggage cart, janitor's room door wedged closed with old clothes, chipped and scratched furniture and scuff marks on paint work. Otherwise pleasant and room was clean and quiet

Bathroom shower head was broken. Breakfast was a nice hot meal. Staff was very courteous.

The hotel is very outdated. When we arrived, there were people sitting outside in front of hotel with garbage bags with their clothes in them smoking pot! We decided to NOT stay there even though I paid in advance with no refund. Went to Holiday Inn instead!

Dirt carpets, odd small pillows, Worn out bedding. The best parts of the room were the shower and plumbing fixtures. Just before check out the main door key failed. Even the master key would not work. Staff had to break in.

Walked into the room upkeep was horrible. Walked out turned in my keys and left. Do not stay here needs updates, rooms are disgusting

The hotel staff was fine..for the most part. The hotel itself though is incredibly run down and not at all in a good area. There is a bad neighborhood nearby and clearly many sketchy people living at the hotel. There are a lot of cigarette butts everywhere, the restaurant did not seem clean. I would avoid this hotel unfortunately..

Good place, but pretty loud! Couldn't sleep. . Good breakfast and friendly staff

Overall the hotel is decent and I would stay there again. Our room had a balcony which was semi-private and a nice feature but it overlooked a courtyard that was not well maintained and just beyond that was the highway. The hotel and decor are a little older and you can see cracks and stains but the room was clean and spacious and the staff were very friendly. The worst part was that every day our room key cards reset and we would have to go back to the front desk to get them reprogrammed which isn't terrible but is annoying. Again, overall the hotel was decent and I would definitely stay here again.

I reported ants in the room and was first told they would give me spray. They then said they would put me in another room but would not give a refund. I called ORBITZ and they said there was nothing they could do. I would forfeit the money paid. With great reluctance I moved to the other room but was uncomfortable because if ants in that room, they would most likely be in other rooms. I stayed away from the hotel as much as possible and only slept uncomfortably the whole time. I was most disappointed that neither the hotel or ORBITZ could not provide a better solution such as a refund because I reserved the room with exceptions of no bugs. Also, the traffic was horrific. I thought I could get to and from the hotel to my conference in 10 minutes or less. It was 45 minutes both ways.

We were in a regular hotel room with a fridge & microwave stuffed in the vanity area. So we could not use the vanity area. The carpet & furniture were VERY stained. In fact I wouldn't sit on the chair, because it looked so dirty.

The staff was very nice the housekeepers were nice as well but didn't speak much English the biggest issue for me was the floor the carpet should be cleaned once a month at the least and they were very very dirty Complementary breakfast was average and below but is good enough to hold you over until you leave to get more food
