Quaint home in Delray Beach

The home appears really small from the outside, but is very spacious inside. It was clean and everything worked. It contained all of the necessary cooking equipment that allowed me to cook for my family during our stay. Overall, I would stay there again.

Cozy, very clean, wonderful backyard and fire pit.

Surf Shack was exactly as the VRBO listing showed it ( I’ve had “surprises”before) and was spotless when we arrived. The kitchen is well-outfitted and the big sofa and long dining table were perfect for our family. It was close to the downtown. Good restaurants were everywhere! The backyard and fire pit were absolutely charming!! Lush greenery all around and overhead. Heath is very quick to respond to texts and very helpful. I’d rent this house again. It had a lot of space for the price. family.

Didn’t love it

We always love staying near Delray to get a break from the cold. This house was much farther (walking) than we’ve had before. The kitchen was stocked well enough. Could have used more bowls, only 4 bowls which there needs to be more. Lots of space for all of us and our small dog. Beds were super comfortable which is appreciated. House could use some TLC. The outside is pretty run down looking with garbage and broken glass near the garbage bins. Mold in both bathrooms and couch and rugs could use a cleaning. We couldn’t use the backyard because our dog got fleas on her every time she went out. The owner said he did spray but it didn’t do anything. Neighborhood wasn’t great. We could walk during the day but for dinner at night we drove. We had a lovely stay regardless but we wouldn’t stay here again.

House was great. Location very close to tennis center. 4 bedrooms small but very nice and comfortable. Two bathrooms accessible to everyone. Large living room and dining room. Private backyard with fire pit.

Great getaway

Nicely decorated and well appointed 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. 3 minute drive to the tennis/pickleball courts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Quiet spot not far from downtown

Well organized, clean and well appointed home 3 1/2 blocks from Atlantic Avenue near the tennis stadium. All rooms and beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and kitchen very functional. Kitchen had all the tools one would want. Backyard and Grill are a great feature, though towards dusk mosquitoes got to me. Not much to do in the immediate neighborhood, but friendly and quiet. Heath was very kind and responsive to our needs, which were very few because he had anticipated most all.

Excellent Property, Great Location

This home was exactly what we needed for a family trip to SoFlo. We have relatives scattered all over Palm Beach County & the location of this listing was absolutely perfect. The house was very clean, the outside lounging area was quaint and private. Comfortable furnishings and everything was very well stocked - TP, feminine hygiene products, hair dryers, shampoo, etc. There is even a free transportation service to Atlantic Ave (although we took Uber, which was only $10). The owner was communicative and check-in/check-out was seamless. Don't hesitate in selecting this unit.

Very acceptable and spacious budget stay!

We have family in the area so we have stayed in many Delray and Boynton rentals…the main living space is quite open and spacious but there are not a lot of places for people to sit(only 4 chairs at the dining table and a couch). Everything felt clean and the kitchen is quite decent. The only reason we really wouldn’t rush to stay here again is that is isn’t truly walkable to downtown and that is a big plus for us.

Very convenient location and just as described

Heath's propery was as described and quite clean. Its proximity to downtown Delray is a great feature of this home. At the same time, it is quiet and private. It is walkable to downtown. The kitchen was reasonably well-equipped, including some basics such as sugar, salt, flour, etc. If I had to give one negative it is that the home is rather spartan. For instance, each bedroom had a bed and a small night table with a couple of drawers, that's all. Not a dresser, table, chair or luggage stand to be found. That notwithstanding, we certainly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in Delray or Palm Beach County more generally.

Great value

Very nice home with all the basics for a family. Newer listing and the manager/owner Heath is working out the kinks. AC unit malfunctioned and Heath was there in the AM with a technician right away. Extremely nice and communication was great. Neighborhood had great proximity to nightlife and beach but need to drive or utilize free golf cart service. Would stay again.

Great rental for small or large groups

Place was very clean and very well suited for the beach or the nightlife. Both were close but far enough away when you need to rest. Kitchen appliances all seemed new as well.The Roomba helped keep the sand in check and the backyard was a fun place to hang out. I will stay there the next time I am in the area.
