This hotel is in poor condition and has terrible customer service. You can expect to see a family gathering of people who aren't staying at the hotel for breakfast and grumpy staff, if you can find them at all.
It's a Hampton with all that you would expect from a Hampton, but after travelling all the way through Illinois from Iowa to Indiana, I have to say that the staff here are the nicest people that we encountered throughout the entire state. Upon check in, we had an issue with our room type, but the front desk girl was a real sweetheart (she was new, and did a fantastic job), she called her manager and handled it very well and much to our satisfaction. We would definitely stay here again. Be aware that the Frisch's Big Boy across the street from the hotel, is no longer a Frisch's Big Boy. It's an independently owned restaurant called "Border Cafe".
This was a great hotel room and hotel in general. Very clean and comfortable room. Really good breakfast. Staff was friendly and inviting. Everything was excellent and would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here while passing through. Aaron at the front desk was very welcoming. Our room was clean but the walls in our room were all scuffed and dented up. The room definitely was in need of a paint job. Have to watch your head when getting in and out of the walk in shower. The top of the shower frame door must only be around 5'9". The only close restaurant is a closed Marc Big Boy.
The check-in procedure was quick and efficient. We were greeted by a friendly person at registration. Pool and rooms were very nice. However, when we checked in we told the front desk clerk that we would be using the sofa bed in room 309 and would need a blanket and two pillows. He said he would bring them right up. One hour later we had not received them. We called the desk twice and after ringing a long time, no one answered either call. We made due with what we had because it was late. I'm disappointed that this happened at a Hilton property. It is very uncharacteristic after many years staying at a Hilton property and will assume this is an exception. It will not keep me from staying at other Hilton properties.
My husband and I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Danville for one night at the end of May 2017 as we were passing through. We arrived around 1 PM and even though our room was not ready they were able to put us in a different room that was the same as the room we reserved. We were in room 308. The carpet on the floor of our room felt somewhat sticky and the bench at the bottom of the bed had many stains. Other than that, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot, so we had no complaints. Breakfast was quite nice, as they had a nice selection of food to choose from. The staff recommended the diner across the street (used to be a Bob's Big Boy) for lunch. We did eat there, but I'm not sure that we should have. The food was okay but the cleanliness of the diner was questionable. It smelled like old grease and was quite run down. Overall our stay was enjoyable.
My husband used his hotel points to stay at this hotel for a family wedding. The hotel was easy to access from the interstate. Coffee available in the lobby but nothing else. Our room was nice. Not the cleanest room we've ever stayed in but not the worst either. Front desk was extremely helpful in meeting our needs. The breakfast the next morning was standard but it's free so no complaints. This is a nice hotel for a quick stay.
We were just passing through for the night and was pleased with our choice of hotel in the area. Fast checkin, clean, nice lobby/eating area, clean room, clean bathroom, easy checkout, overall nice place to stop in for the night
Good clean hotel, good breakfast, clean rooms and bathroom, had a fan in the bathroom, helpful staff, 24 hour coffee, secure parking area, lots of ice and vending machines ready for late arrivals food nearby
The Hampton Inn is one of the nicer hotels in the Danville area, with easy access to I-74. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly. The cold breakfast items were sufficient, wasn't crazy about the hot breakfast offerings.
