Half of the hotel is under construction. The bar is not open. We were told that "You are welcome to watch TV in the bar/lounge area, but you can not bring food or drink in that area". There were sugar ants in our bathroom. The carpet was old and musty. The elevator was due for an inspection. The luggage dolly was in need of WD-40, was not sturdy(it felt like it was about to fall apart on us), and it didn't turn very well. The breakfast was very disappointing too. We tried just the eggs and the coffee, because everything seemed pretty sketchy, and they were both gross. We decided to eat breakfast at Taco Cabana instead. And the pool and hot tub were filled in with what looked like potting soil. At one point you could tell this hotel was great and beautiful, but now it's just so disappointing. The pictures I saw of this place had to have been old stock photos, because that is not what I got upon arrival.

Not a good hotel i would recommend. The chair in the room was torn and had a smell to the hallways.

No issues, breakfast wasn't too great but it's okay

Nothing else besides fair price. I have no any reasons to write.

I'd like to see this hotel after renovations. The Hotel staff was exceptional

The room was clean and comfortable. Everything at the hotel was nice. No issues. It's an older building and there is a smell. We slept with a window open to air it out. Everything else was great!!

We were in over a whirlwind weekend to go house-hunting and needed a place to sleep for two nights. The Quality Inn Plano East - Richardson fit the bill. Parking lot was a mess due to construction, and the location is not aesthetically appealing, but our room was second floor and quiet. As another reviewer mentioned, it's an old property and smells a tad musty; worse in the elevator, and the non-smoking rooms/floors were probably smoking at some point in time. But the room, sheets, towels, etc. were all clean and good quality, and the beds were comfortable enough to foster good rest. It's no resort destination, but if all you need is a place to sleep and shower, and get a good breakfast in the bargain, it's a solid value.

The hotel was not comparable to other Quality Inn. Something uncomfortable in the hotel. Breakfast hall was good but breakfast was not that great. I believe the management of the hotel is not serious and just they want to run the hotel as it is.

Looks to be water damage in hotel. I work in the industry and I smelled mildew and became sick like there were mold spores in the air. My TV remote had no batteries and the front desk guy stopped just short of accusing me of taking them when I brought it to him. I got back to the room with batteries in the remote and my TV wouldn't work. The halls were 85 degrees and very humid. Young kids were running around the halls being very noisy.

This hotel has 3.9 stars - maybe that was from 1978. Immediately upon walking in I knew this place was going to be a mess. The hotel has a homeless person sitting on front bench by the door every day, same guy talking to people as they come in. I even saw him ask the guy before me for money. The elevator had posters ripped from the wall half on half off, stained badly carpets and was not pleasant at all. The hotel is in need of major major repairs. The "breakfast" area had bags hanging from the ceiling that were FULL of water. I kept waiting for them to burst on us below. The rooms themselves were ok, nothing fancy and they were clean - however getting to the room and being anywhere else in this hotel was not a good experience.

We needed an inexpensive, last minute place to stay so this worked out ok but I wouldn't stay here again. The entire lobby smelled bad; the elevator had nasty carpet and peeling walls; there was trashed stuck behind the dresser in our room and a used hair tie on the bed post; the window opened onto the roof (like you could literally climb out) and didn't lock properly; you could hear every car from the freeway drive by; there were mattresses stuffed behind a fake wall at the end of the hall on the 2nd floor; the trash outside was overflowing onto the ground; not one of the vending machines was working. Overall, it needs some serious attention. It appears that it's going through some renovations so I'll give them that but it's just kind of nasty right now, overall.

Slightly seedy area but hotel was convenient and great value. Would stay there again.

Although the room was clean and comfortable.....the hotel is very old and has an old musty smell that is very strong. Overall, it was okay for an overnight business trip but definitely would choose to stay here on a pleasure trip.

I stayed here for two nights while traveling across country with 3 dogs and a cat. The hotel was VERY accommodating with my animals, and the fee was only $10 a night. The hotel was difficult to find at first, because my GPS registered it as the Southfork Inn. After getting there around 10pm, the front desk clerk was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast had waffles, sausage, eggs, and pastries. Overall a good selection. I would use this hotel again.

When it was Southfork, it was passable. Now it looks like it is deteriorating. Strange smells in halls. The breakfast used to be barely acceptable; now it is a joke. Also wasn't able to use rating above. Just like hotel.

I was in town for a short business meeting. The staff was very friendly and efficient. My surprise came when I entered my room. It was very dated...like still in the 1970's. I knew it was associated with the "Dallas" T.V. show but I did expect modern rooms. The next time I will try another hotel.

We have stayed at Southfork several times and have always been happy with the staff, service, room, and location of the hotel.

Stayed here as was close to wedding location. Continental breakfast was not especially good, but folks were friendly and helpful.

When I check in, they don't have my reservation, seems like miscommunication between Orb*** and the hotel. However the front desk and manager took care of it very well. I really appreciate it. The room is clean however the refrigerator is noisy so we have to unplug it at night. The hotel also let us check out late at 1pm. Will sure stay here again when I go back to Plano.

We stayed for 3 nights and appreciated the staff's hospitality . Clean rooms and good breakfasts. Only downside was the number of soccer kids running up and down the halls and in the stairwells .
