The night we arrived we found no electricity or hot water in the master bedroom/bathroom. There was no hot water in the house at all. Very few of the electrical outlets were working. We notified the owner the next morning who replied we should have told her the night before as she had someone in the area who could have fixed it. None of these things were ever fixed during our entire stay. We had to bathe at my son’s house every day. After our initial conversation I could not get the owner to respond to my emails and had to contact Vrbo to call her. On the 3rd day of our stay the owner ask if we would flip her breaker to see if that would fix the problem. I found this to be a highly inappropriate request and adamantly declined. The only offer of compensation was to allow for a later checkout time on our final day. Even so, the cleaning crew arrived at 11:00am. We ask them to return in one hour and we were out by 12:00 noon. We need to be financially compensated for this stay, at least a 50% reduction in our total bill is in order.
