Emerald Escape is a beautifully decorated and comfortable home. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. The communication from the owner was top notch. The view was so beautiful and peaceful! It is a great place to get away and enjoy Smith Lake.

Everything was excellent and first class. The house was beautiful and well kept. The dock was new and very nice. I had a question and Susan was very responsive. The 2 or 3 miles on county roads from the main highway are in we’ll work, but nothing that couldn’t be overcome since I was driving a truck.

We had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect — close to everything we needed, yet quiet and relaxing. The home was spotless, thoughtfully laid out, and ideal for the two of us. The owners were excellent to work with — responsive, kind, and made everything seamless. We’ll definitely be back!

Anniversary trip

Beautiful home with amazing views of Smith Lake! We brought our boat and put in at the public beach/boat ramp on Smith Lake. Local restaurant Drifer’s Bar and Grill was great and also All Steak in Cullman. Would definitely stay here again!

Week at the lake

Property is wonderful. Great view of the lake. Large porch with morning shade and evening sunsets. Rented a boat for a few days and dock was convenient. Smith Lake is clean and has lots to explore. We also made some day trips to falls in Bankhead Forest, paddled Upper Sypsey Fork, saw Natural Bridge and Dismals Canyon

Perfect getaway !

This was a lovely spot with amazing views. Peaceful and quiet, beautifully decorated and was the perfect place for us to unplug for a couple days. Great communication from host. Will definitely return!!!

My wife and I stayed here for a short anniversary get away. We had an amazing time at this property. The house itself is beautiful. The views are breath taking in the morning and evening. Any question we had was answered right away by Susan. We loved our stay and will be back soon to visit.

A wonderful retreat

My husband and I spent the weekend at this magnificent home as we needed to just get away for a short time. The house is simply beautiful and the views are amazing. It was truly the perfect place to escape to and unwind for a few days. The back porch overlooking Smith Lake is to die for. You will never want to leave. So glad we were able to go there and look forward to booking it again.

Wonderful time at Emerald Escape!

We had a wonderful time at Emerald Escape. The design and decorating inside and the view outside is great. We had such a good and restful time. The mornings out on the upper and lower level with a cup of coffee were just so refreshing. We also spent some time on the dock swimming and watching all the action on the lake. We definitely used the grill each day cooking steaks, hamburgers, and hotdogs. We just loved the quiet and peace especially in the mornings where so many other popular vacation destinations are so crowded. We hope to be back soon!
