This was one of the best vacations. The location was wonderful, being right on the beach, facing the sand dunes as we did (in unit 121), it was clean (on the grounds AND in the condo itself), conveniently located next to the drive ramp where you could drive onto the beach itself (either to stay parked next to your beach chairs/ beach tent/ beach towel the entire time you're on the beach itself, etc ORRR to drive into the beach only quickly enough to drop off all of your heavy beach gear/ return to El Constante to park in the parking lot there, is your don't want your car in the beach all day/ simply walk the short distance back to your load of beach gear after you dropped it all off by car, etc)
I was nervous about getting ticketed for not having purchased the $12 beach parking pass from Stripes, which is why I chose to just use my car on the beach only long enough to drop off my gear/ return to the beach at the end of my day at the beach to pick my stuff back up. It worked PERFECTLY!
El Constante itself isn't the Taj Mahal, but it's VERY clean on the property itself (I regularly saw staff walking the property to pick up litter, if there was any), and appreciated that the clientele there seemed to have an appreciation for that by not typically being the types to leave trash everywhere..... not while I was there, anyway (just prior to school letting out for the summer..... lighter crowds were present).
The ONLY criticism I have is that Unit 121 is one of the only units who still issue a PHYSICAL METAL KEY. All other units use a combo lock, eliminating the risk that you might lose one (or BOTH!) physical keys when your discover in horror that your 8 year old has been frolicking in the gulf with the physical key in his swimsuit pocket the last hour you spent tearing up every bag/nook/cranny, just searching for that darned KEY! 😆
Otherwise, I can't wait to book dog- friendly Unit 121 again.
P.S. - The king sized mattress in 121 must be newer, because it was VERY comfortable.
