The rooms are very small - with no place to even open up your suitcase. The bathroom walls are see-through and look space-age. Water does not stay in the shower - which has no real door. I hope this is the not the future of hotel rooms.
Small claustrophobic rooms
When we arrived due to corona virus there was very limited staff the room was nit clean at all, however i notified management and they rectified the problem immediately and we changed room to a much cleaner one. I would stay here again however staffing re: houskeeping etc. Need to be available that is tr he reasin we go to hitels vs. AirBnB
I traveled to attend a memorial lecture here at the University, where I did not know anyone, or my way around. The sponsors recommended this hotel. It was easy and convenient, though somewhat more expensive than my usual budget. Still, it surpassed my expectations. Extremely helpful staff, lovely facilities, fitness room better equipped and larger than I usually see at any hotel! Excellent restaurant. The room was very clean, with all necessary amenities. Tiny, though. Good for one person. Well-designed bathroom, though I would have loved a tub. Very good bed, good lighting, good tv (access to one’s own Netflix account, etc.). Very satisfied.
It was a small room, the hallway was dirty; safe was not working. It was too expensive for the quality of the hotel.
My adventure started with staff helping me find the retreat suite and continued with suggestions of a great restaurant. I slept like a baby and there appeared to be no noise from the hallway. Very well built building.
The hotel is very clean. The staff is very courteous. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend my friends and family to check it out.
I enjoyed the hotel very much. There was some really fantastic art in the lobby. I would, however, only say that my bathroom door was missing. I checked with other guests, and their doors were not missing, so it was apparently just my room. If it were not just me in the room, I might have insisted that I get moved. The rooms are a little small to not have a door between the bathroom and the bed. Otherwise, though, the room was well-kept, clean, and comfortable.
This is the most comfortable bed ever which is why I think it was worth it. The room is small, cramped, and outdated. You also have to pay for parking as a heads up. It took them three calls to get one extra shampoo for my friend.
the place is right on the campus and I didn't realize that when I booked it. The rooms are very outdated and don't smell great plus they are small. However the bed is beyond comfortable, it's in the top two most comfortable that I have slept in, so depends what you want. I did not realize you have to pay for parking so that wasn't cool.
Not the Marriot quality I have known over the years. The room was too cramped up. The hallway had a funny smell and unusual for a Marriot.
Visit daughter at UMD.
Wonderful hotel, very clean, comfortable beds and so convenient to University of Maryland campus.
Older building that has been nicely redecorated. Clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient access to UM campus.
It was an all right experience, nothing special. The only negative was that the staff was not knowledgeable about the special arrangements made for parking accommodations for our group; I had to insist that she check it.
Great deal for the summertime.
Mediocre. Terrible food service at breakfast. Severely understaffed. Had to skip breakfast to get to my meeting.
When I checked in they couldn't find my reservation. I don't know if that was the Hotel's fault or Orbitz'. The room was very small. The hotel takes being green to an extreme. The green lighting was terrible. I couldn't read in the room at night.
This hotel was perfect for our quick trip to see family in College Park. We did not spend a whole lot of time at the hotel, but when we were there, everything was great. Clean room, comfortable bed, and they had the toddler bed set up and ready to go when we got there. We have no real complaints - just that the front desk people were very unorganized when we checked in and it took a while. Other than that everything was really great!
