Palmer House hotel is great! Loved the ambiance of a historic hotel. Great location to the theater district and Millennium Park. I was very interested in the history of the hotel and the iPad in the room had a nice section you could read. However, it was quite out of date as it said 'you can visit the History & Archives Museum in the hotel to see more'...but apparently this was closed a few years ago?? The staff I asked gave me this updated information. If I could make a recommendation to PH, maybe offer a tour to your guests and share some of its rich history??

I need a detailed receipt to see the exact charges because I feel like they were scammers. Nice old property but dated with average accommodations and below average staff. The Palmer House is so historic, and we love that part of it. The lobby is one of the best places to visit and people watch. It is wonderful to admire the history, but the rooms definitely need an upgrade! The bed is comfy, but the furniture and floors and shower alll need a major upgrade. Our room was incredibly small. The elevators are incredibly slow. There are so many nicer places to stay in Chicago, but come here for the history and lobby
