Went to be a friends for birthday celebration. Hotel was amazing from services available - pool, spa, fitness center, and restaurant - to the staff who could not be nicer or more accommodating. Fabulous experience

The spa environment was average to say the least. I booked the experience for a friend and myself to celebrate her birthday. Her services included a Massage, Salt Scrub and Hot rock massage. Her room was cold, the bed was cold she informed that esthetician that she was cold, she was not offered a room where the table was heated since the room she was in the table was broken and did not heat up. So her toes were blue and she froze during her salt scrub, which was cut short by 20 minutes. The hot shower was a welcome break. Her scrub was followed by a very lack luster, unremarkable massage, which again her feet were blue. The esthetician providing the massage avoid whole parts of her body by not massaging or scrubbing in the chest, feet, or buttock areas. It did not seem that she was of the caliber esthetician that I would expect at the Ritz. We finished our services by dining in the pool area, that was also cold and the hot tub was down for servicing. Our food was ok but, piece of stem or plastic in the cupcake was an unwelcome surprise. As we departed the spa we wanted to provide feedback on our experience, so we spoke to the Spa Manager Jillian. What Jillian offered was a condescending attitude towards myself and my guest. I was offended by the service recovery that she offered and the manner in which, she addressed our concerns about the staff that provided our services for the day. To top it all off her comment about the plastic or stem in the cup cake was "at least it was free. Totally, missing the point that there are certain service expectations that accompany the reputation and price point of the Ritz Carlton. If I had wanted a just ok day I could have easily gone to Spa Envy and spent a fraction of the cost of the services that we had received. I truly felt taken advantage of and would not recommend this experience to anyone.

Stopped by the Ritz for a quick drink and a bite, as we wanted to explore why this hotel charged 3x the price of other hotels in the area. Bought a confection from Coco, which is attached to the hotel, and went to their lobby lounge. The overall lobby is small, dated, and more like a 3 star hotel. The bar tables were visibly dirty, the seats old, and the entire 15 minutes we were there, not one person came up to us to see if we wanted anything. I was truly incredulous at the lack of luxury of this supposedly luxury brand! On the way out, I spoke with 2 staff people and asked them what was so special about this hotel that it was able to command such a premium. They said there was a nice winebar on the 16th floor, and a good spa, but that one could go to either without being a hotel guest. I also asked them for recommendations of neighborhoods to explore while in town. All they could come up with was to visit the "historic district" but were unable to give clear directions on how to get there, or even give me the name of a single shop or restaurant in said district which I could put into Google Maps to navigate there. While I have never rated a hotel I haven't actually stayed in, my experience at the Ritz was so uninspiring, and the decor and scale so poor, that even if they had magnificent rooms I wouldn't recommend paying the premium. We stayed at the Westin which was clean, modern, and perfectly nice, but a 3rd the price.

Excellent facility. Great staff. Centrally located. Very clean rooms and great beds. For extra space book an executive suite-- 1000 sq ft gives plenty of room to spread out and a connecting room is also available. The bathroom is particularly nice and the suite has an additional half bath. The staff fulfills all requests and is extremely friendly. Great stay.

Just a one-night stay for business, but I have to say that the overall experience was top-notch. The staff was nice and very welcoming. The room was spotless, nicely-appointed, and comfortable. I look forward to a future visit here.

I give it 1 because of what happened to my guest that was visiting. My family was visiting where I stay for the weekend room 1117. They valet their car, hung out for 2 hours. When it was time to leave, they had to pay $18 for valet parking. Really?? They could have park at the garage for $5 because it was the weekend, in the evening and for a few short hours. Not to be cheap but we're not rich either. They left unhappy, piss & disappointed. Be aware of this scam.

Our hotel room and the staff were amazing. The noise blaring until 2 AM was not so much. If you forget ear plugs just call the front desk and they will promptly bring some up to you. It’s such a shame because the hotel is beautiful and the staff was perfect.

The staff had balloons, a personalized card signed by over 20 staff members, truffles, cookies and spa gift bags waiting for my daughter and me upon our arrival. Everyone from the concierge to the valet wished her a happy birthday whenever they saw us. She was elated and felt like a princess. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay awesome!

This in regards to the service at the hotel - not lounge or spa - those are A+. Upon check in I was not warmly greeted, nor were any of my booking notes read. I booked over the phone and got the reservation specialist to attach the reservation to a previous one done (simultaneously) through my credit card portal. She did not read the notes, attach my reservations, nor was she friendly. After sharing the bday news with the other front desk people and clearly being excited she was ready to get rid of me. I asked if we had received an upgrade (as that's standard for Platinum members) she said "no, there is just one but it's dirty so you'd have to wait hours. Um, what? Not, let me get it cleaned for you guys - thanks for your loyalty? Nope. Then guest relations called and checked in and I was so upset I explained and she was the sweetest woman and got us put in another room immediately. We were only there for a staycation for my partners birthday and the room was tiny, and the carpet was very worn. She put us in a suite (which happened to already be clean and ready, hmm) and we seemed to be set. Next morning at 9:30 AM our doorbell is ringing and the maid is asking us when we are leaving? What? Sunday, we are here through the weekend. She apologized and was so nice and said she'd called down - clearly the notes weren't passed to house keeping. She asked what the occasion was and we said "birthday" and she got us a cake brought up immediately (the housekeeping NOT the actual staff). Our keys were deactivated when we were at the spa/pool so we had to go to the front desk in our robes to get new keys. Awkward since the Ritz Lobby is a hot spot in the evenings. While down there we wanted to confirm our checkout time the next day. Due to our status we are guaranteed late checkout at 4 PM. The front desk was arguing and saying we could check out at 2, but a platinum guest was coming at 4. Then my partner nicely explained, we're platinum too and we want to check out at 4. Is there a room shortage? It seems they are organized enough to know they need a specific room by a date, but we were not offered that or any courtesy - very unorganized. The next morning was a fiasco as well. Our doorbell was rang at 9:30 asking when we were leaving. We kindly said 4 PM. Then again it rang at 12:30, 1:30, AND 2:30 all different people asking the same thing. We are leaving at 4. At 1:30 the housekeeping said they called and we didn't answer . No, we were in the room, the phone did not ring, but that would have been much prefered. We were trying to relax on our staycation and it was far from relaxing! Upon leaving we did voice some concerns, as they asked - and the nice gentleman offered to remove the charges for our room Saturday night. Once we got home we realized they charged us for Friday (even though that was prepaid), so we still had to pay for two nights - thanks for literally nothing. *Our room was spacious and nice, there were stains on the carpet in a few places. The bathrooms were spotless, beds were very comfortable. Also - spa staff was very nice, guest relations people were very helpful and compassionate, and the housekeeping (Clarissa) were the sweetest people we met. Overall, I would absolutely never return - for over $500/night we should have been treated at least like human beings.
