Excellent overall value for the business traveler staying indowntown Charlotte

Everything the business traveler could want in downtown Charlotte - location, price, quality and condition of rooms. Great staff !

Overall an excellent stay. Rooms and bathroom a little smaller than some otherwise comprable properties

Great location! It's downtown and walking distance to the Charter Spectrum arena! Room is nice as well!

It was overall a good stay. The location was perfect and we really enjoyed the rooftop pool and hot tub. However, we did not get the room we requested and paid for. The hotel staff were very apologetic about it and ended up giving us a free voucher so it worked out over all.

Within walking distance to everything you could want to do!

I had enjoyed my stay and felt comfortable staying there.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the valet service. They were very polite and friendly. They asked us about us checking in, and wanted to know if we needed help with our bags. We got inside and were helped immediately at the desk. They asked about our drive and what all we would be doing this weekend. They got checked in and showed us where the elevators were located. Our room was clean and centrally located to the elevator. The room was quiet as well.

It was a Nice, clean, and modern hotel. It also had a good location with many restaurants and food options within walking distance. Would stay here for future trips.

You can't beat the location. It's close to tons of bars and restaurants. There is a parking charge of $18.00 per day if you park yourself and $24 per day to valet park. We loved our stay and breakfast was included and really good!

The hotel was nice and clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Great location, within walking distance to great restaurants and nightlife.

This hotel had a great location, just noise at night and some weird construction noise inside during the day. Nothing special.

I was in Charlotte for a conference and could not get into the hotel where the conference was being held. The Holiday Inn was within walking distance but they also offered shuttle service to the other hotel. The room was fine and clean.

This hotel is a short walk from virtually everything in uptown Charlotte, which makes it a great place to stay. The walls, however, are very thin as it is very easy to be disturbed by noisy neighbors. The weekend I stayed was a game weekend for the Panthers, and this hotel was chosen as a basecamp for a large number of the opposition's fan base. They made their Steeltown origins known by their predilection to immediately become belligerently drunk, break glasses, and hold loud conversations until the wee hours of the morning. When I awoke from my frequently-disturbed slumber and went out to start my day, I made it a point to place my room service dishes in the hallway as loudly as possible, and rearrange them numerous times with great fanfare. I did this because I am childish and wanted to introduce the boisterous visitors to their inevitable hangovers as early as possible.

Great hotel in the heart of downtown! We were able to walk everywhere that we wanted to including the tram to go to a bar outside of the loop. Had a great time and were impressed with the cleanliness of the entire hotel and the friendliness of the staff.

Had a great stay at this Holiday Inn. Perfect for a girls weekend.

Great weekend. The location was perfect and in close proximity to everything.

Location was perfect and room was nice. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at Holiday inn Center city Charlotte to attend a wedding that was held at the hotel. It is a lovely hotel with a congenial staff. Upon arrival a nice gentleman offered to help with our luggage. He said he would get us a cart and I was thankful he offered. We did not have much to carry in but it was helpful to have the cart. I told him I could take to the room without assistance, but he insisted. I was panicking because I knew I would be expected to tip him and I didn't have much cash. I would have rather taken it myself and not bothered him with the task. I gave him the last of my cash. So be prepared with extra cash for tipping! We found the room to be clean and nice. It was definitely a room more suited for a businessman . The sink was so high I could not use it easily. It was so hard even to wash my face! I am short and it was uncomfortably high.. There was hardly any counter space at the sink to lay out toiletries etc..I had to hang my makeup bag in the bathroom which is separate from the sink area. It was quite inconvenient to walk back and forth from sink to bathroom to get makeup. The sink is so large and awkward that it us hard to get to the mirror to put makeup on. We attended a wedding and then dinner which was catered by the Holiday Inn restaurant. The food was extraordinary! We had Filet Mignon and it was divine. The dinner was perfect and the staff was attentive and professional. Overall it was a pleasant stay. We would recommend that some rooms be updated to accommodate non- business travelers.

The hotel is very convenient and clean however, the A/C unit in the room has no thermostat therefore it runs constantly when turned on. The sink is in the room not the bathroom which annoying when 1 person awoke before the other. The toilet is the old small-openning type ... good luck on that! Overall a very disappointing hotel experience. Next time I'll stay someplace else.
