Terrific location just over the bridge to downtown and all the shops. Close to beaches and the plantations. Nothing further than a short car ride away. Free wifi was a nice touch as well as free parking. Much cheaper than staying downtown, as you are not going to be at the hotel much during the visit anyway.
My stay was one to remember as it was the perfect setting to propose to my soon to be wife. I thank the staff and all those who were instrumental in making those couple of days a memorable. The food was delicious, the staff were very helpful and courteous and the room was perfect.
Checked out this hotel as a potential site for out-of-town guests for an upcoming wedding. Will definitely choose this hotel. Great location, wonderful staff and very nice physical facilities. Always ask about special rates such as AAA, AARP, etc.
Hotel seems pretty new with pretty lobby and nice room. We were greeted by front desk who went out of her way to see if our room was ready and tell us about area while we waited. Breakfast was good and location was easy on and off US17 and bridge to downtown.
After a poor stay at the HH Garden Inn Midtown In Savannah this hotel restored our faith in Hiltons. Very clean, great service and just kind people working there. The MTO breakfast was very good and the service Sunday morning (6/18/17) was excellent. Had a very nice women serve us. This appreared to be a new Hilton. I walked around this hotel and found the conference rooms very nice. The pool is on the roof of the 2nd floor. I thought it small but attractive for sitting around the pool area. If you are going to tour Patriots Point it is across the street but because you cannot cross over 17 as you leave the hotel it is a bit 'tricky' to get over to the other side. But even if your going to Sullivan's/Isle of Palm for the beach it only takes about 10-minutes to get there from this hotel. Great place!
We stayed here for four nights during our Charleston visit. The hotels in downtown Charleston are exorbitant, so your best bet is to stay on the outskirts of the city (though the hotels on the outskirts are still high). Charleston isn't really a walking town anyway, so staying outside of the downtown area is no big deal. Mt. Pleasant is a great area with its own great restaurants (Page's Okra Grill) and attractions (Patriot's Point!!). The hotel is convenient and very clean. The bathroom was spotless, which is a big deal for me. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast isn't complimentary which is weird since Hampton hotels (which Hilton owns) have complimentary breakfasts. The coffee at this hotel is absolutely vile- it's like battery acid. Not that big a deal, but the Hampton we went on to stay at in Savannah had much better coffee (again weird since Hilton owns Hampton). The absolute BEST thing about this hotel is there is PARKING! No valet! You have easy access to your car and you don't have to pay $20-$30 a night like you would at a hotel downtown. I highly recommend this hotel and also recommend visitors venture out of Charleston and explore Mt. Pleasant and the surrounding areas.
I paid $295 dollars for a room with a unfriendly staff and made my family's stay feel VERY uncomfortable. I also don't understand paying $295 for room and them charging $12.95 a person for breakfast????? It is not a restaurant it is a freaking lobby. We could have stayed in a MUCH nicer place for cheaper. The Hilton garden is not tucked away on a side road (absolutely no view of anything but parking lots) Just because it has HILTON in the name does not mean it is nice. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED and FEEL RIPPED OFF.
We enjoyed our visit to the Charleston area. Our stay at the Hilton Garden Inn was ok. We were overcharged for our room to start with, the man at the front desk was obviously new, he could not find our Hilton Honors number. We did not realize we were overcharged until we got the email for the bill. We were not told anything about the hotel, where things were, etc. The bright spot was the woman at the front desk, with long blonde hair, she was very nice and helpful. The other staff were cordial, at best. The location is great but the beds are very hard and uncomfortable to us.
Rooms updated and clean. Nice bed and bath linens. Helpful and friendly staff. Dinner in restaurant was excellent. Nice outside poolside patio with fire pit. Convenient to downtown Charleston. Overall a very pleasant vacation stay.
The atmosphere at the Hilton Garden Inn, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina is like being right at home. The people and the ambiance of the hotel is the epitome of Southern Hospitality. Beautiful furnishings and clean as a whistle! I especially liked the way they were attentive to my being alone and helped in arranging transportation that was timely, pleasant and safe. The front desk seemed especially attentive to my needs. Felt special!! I highly recommend this property and almost all the Hilton Garden Inns where I have stayed. Mt. Pleasant was extraordinary
