This was our second time staying at this wonderful house. The location is close to so many things to see and do. The house was so clean and cozy with all the amenities promised. Our family of 5 loved our stay in this spacious property in a quiet neighborhood and hope to stay again if we are able to return to the area. We highly recommend this property!!!

Perfect Vacation Base of Operations

Alexa and John could not have been more gracious hosts. Chick Haven has excellent security, very comfortable accommodations and is a superb location from which to visit Lake Tahoe, Reno, Carson City, Virginia City, Gold Hill and surrounding areas. Hiking, boating, skiing, biking, sailing, casino entertainment, museums, and more are all available from this location. Their Welcome Binder, with home interior signage, was the best we have seen anywhere. Located in a quiet and upscale neighborhood, Chick Haven has many amenities including a putting green in the back yard, a large and heated garage, and all modern GE appliances. Cleanliness and bedding comfort rated 5 stars. We will be back the next time we are in Nevada.

AMAZING PROPERTY!!!!!!!

Our family of 5 adults were in town to visit family and this home provided for all our needs plus! The house was super clean with numerous amenities.. It allowed for everyone to have their own space and had a large common area in the center of the house so we could all come together to eat and socialize. The weather was still cool so we weren’t able to take advantage of the awesome outdoor space but it would be perfect for outdoor relaxing. Alexa and John answered all our questions and were very warm and welcoming. We want to return to the area again next year and are hopeful this property will be available.

Excellent Home - but transactional

We were very pleased with everything about the home, cleanliness, ammenities, location and overall comfort. We would probably stay here again if we travel to the area. My only disappointment is that we were charged 82 (75 for early check in and 7 processing fee) to check in early. I had requested to check in early if possible since we were going to arrive before 4 pm. The home owner let us know we could do that since no one was staying the night before. But we had to go to their website to request that and then was charged. I have never been charged for checking in early, especially when no services were rendered nor did they have to do anything special in order to accommodate us. The house was sitting empty waiting for us to arrive. We very much lost the personal connection and very much felt transactional.

Fantastic Family Getaway

As our family has grown, and two of our older of our four children have moved away, we have made it a point to get together at least one time a year. Every third year is our White Christmas getaway. This year we chose to ski South Lake Tahoe (Heavenly) and decided to stay in Carson City. I’m a big VRBO fan and I’ve had great accommodations for our many trips. This one, however, takes the cake. A fantastic layout in a convenient neighborhood with access to both Reno and South Lake Tahoe. The home is perfectly equipped for a family of eight. with an open floor plan and all of the extras you could possibly imagine for each and every age group. We were blessed to have our 6 month old granddaughter and there was a crib, a bath, high chair and all the cups and utensils you could possibly need. From board games to Foosball, a putting green and indoor fireplace, relaxing in the evenings was perfect for family fellowship. We literally cooked every breakfast and every dinner for seven nights in a row. The dining room table is, well as the outdoor dining table, accommodates eight guests, which was perfect for us. The Kings Canyon trailhead leading to a 25 foot waterfall is only minutes away. We were less than 45 minutes away to Tahoe for our daily skiing and it was conveniently located just 30 minutes south of Reno, where we flew in from Florida, Louisiana and DC. Our hosts were very attentive and kept us informed and comfortable for our entire stay. We'll be back!! The McFamily

Fabulous stay!

We loved our time in Carson City at this property. We were in town for a wedding. This home was perfect for my family. There was plenty of space. The home is comfortable with everything we needed and more. The pictures don’t do it justice! The neighborhood was very nice with easy access to the nearby trails. Shopping and restaurants are just a few minutes away. Overall, I would highly recommend this property and would stay again.

Ideal location and house in Carson City

3 nights in Carson for work. Hosts let me add an extra day in with no hassles and great communication. Place was clean, very well furnished in the kitchen. Nice size house and great for mid size groups or as a couple. Clean and easy check out process is important to me and it was.
