This is a very special hotel! The architecture of the Richardson is one of a kind. It’s a unique experience staying here. Location in the north end of Elmwood Village couldn’t be better. Easy parking and walkable to great restaurants, shops and the art gallery. We loved the hotel bar! Special shoutout to the sweetest bartender <3 Will definitely recommend to friends.

This stay has been extremely disappointing. Housekeeping entered the room to remove breakfast dishes, but the bed was not made, amenities were not replenished, and no fresh towels were provided. Even more concerning, my personal silverware and cups—which I brought from home—were taken without permission. In addition to the issues mentioned above, there were bugs in our room—the creepy, crawly kind—which made the stay even more uncomfortable. To make matters worse, during our first visit in November we woke up to no hot water. This is completely unacceptable, especially in Buffalo, New York, where cold and snowy weather makes hot water a basic necessity, not a luxury. The continental breakfast, which is free, was a pathetic joke. Of course. We ended up going out for breakfast. Honestly, based on my last two stays I cannot recommend this hotel in good consciousness.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful!!! Super unique but only downfall is we were checking in two hours later then usual due to weather conditions and we were told the restaurant was closed so that was disappointing that we couldn’t access the restaurant for dinner .

Beautiful space but not well managed and not a full service hotel. Bar is great but very limited hours and “breakfast” was terrible, basically cereal and English muffins. Minimal staff. A few at front desk were helpful and props to lovely bartender Marty. They also have some heating issues, with pockets of cold spaces and lukewarm showers. Too bad because the building is architecturally very cool.

Nice hotel, comfy bed. Very pretty, well done remodel. Only loss of a star due to a very subpar breakfast, something you expect at Motel 6. Actually, I think Motel 6 is better for breakfast. Not even cream cheese for the so-so bagels. Nothing hot at all. Big disappointment. I'd rather pay for breakfast than be fed this way. Overall a great hotel with a terrible wake up meal. And the bar closes far too early. At 9pm they were closed.
