We usually book hotels having reviewed Trip Advisor but extended our drive home from Florida, arriving without a reservation. Price and room were exceptional. Restaurants nearby plentiful. Hotel breakfast was perfect. Will consider TownePlace Suites for future trips
Welcomed to the hotel by an exceptional customer services manager, Benjamin Male. He went overboard to ensure we were settled into the room and had everything we required. The room was perfect, large, clean with all the extras for a suite. Thanks Benjamin and Marriot for an enjoyable stop over.
Was headed to Pittsburgh and made a stop here on the way. I booked the room online. Staff was super friendly, room was clean. Breakfast was good, typical hotel breakfast. But would definitely stay here again.
We recently stayed here as the first stop driving south to Florida. It just happened to be 5 hours away, but was a great find. I called first for best rates and S at the desk for very accommodating and even remembered us when we checked in. The rooms are open and clean with more things than we needed for one night. She even called us when we got to our room to see how things were (this is unusual). We had dinner at Provence (a remarkable find from TripAdvisor-see review). Breakfast the next morning was extensive and fresh. Great morning and a great start for another 8 hour drive. Recommendations: call and book directly to receive the best rates; when checking in ask if you received the best rates--half the time they can reduce the rates.
I stayed here for 4 weeks while working in the area. I was given a rate upon check in and after four weeks the Manager ( Ben ) decided that rate was no longer valid in his opinion and had it increased . Due to my busy work schedule I had my wife try to rectify the situation and after spending 40 min on the phone and being treated rudely ( not like a "rewards member " ) she had no luck. Ben the Manager was very rude and condescending to both of us so I made the decision to find a different hotel as there are many nice ones in the area that know how to treat customers who give them thousands of dollars. We will never stay at another Marriott hotel again because of this experience... As for the Hotel it'self it could use some improvements as well. The common areas are not kept very clean . They offer free use of laundry but several times during my stay the machines have been out of order or to nasty to use due to a lot of oil & gas workers washing their work clothes in them and not being kept clean. The breakfast is mediocre and not always fresh . The rooms are not bad but could use some improvements on the cleanliness again partly due to all the oil and gas workers they take in the area. There are better hotels for the price in the area ....
I recently stayed at this hotel on a business trip. It was extremely cold outside at this time, and I was having trouble getting my heat regulated. I called the front desk, and Shelia immediately came to my room to help. She even brought me an extra comforter for my bed. These little things help when you're away from home. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next work trip!
Traveling from North Carolina to Pittsburgh, we decided very last minute to stop for the night. I made a reservation using the Marriott app and Marriott Rewards points. We arrived after 2:00 am, but were greeted very warmly. Our studio room with two queen beds was perfectly comfortable. Breakfast was very good, maybe the best hotel coffee that I’ve had! Thanks for a great stay!
My husband and I have stayed here numerous times and the staff is amazing!!! Lucinda took excellent care of us and he hotel manager was so friendly and pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel!! The rooms are neat and clean with everything you need for an extended stay.
I have stayed at this property two other times including March of this year. I enjoyed the property and had no issues. I had reserved the room on the Marriott app as I'm a Marriott rewards member. It was reserved 3 nights. Totaling with tax 283 rounded up. All my stays prior to this one I've asked the stay to be charged at check-in as I do not use the bar, phone, or their market. This night I checked in and Anthony behind the desk kept running my card as I asked again as they did in the past charge it then as I would not be using incidentals. After close to 8 times sliding my credit card and doing things claims it was not approved. Now my card had available credit of $568. I called the card company and they tell me he was given approval for 2 authorization charges of $270 each. I left the hotel and went elsewhere using a different card as he has that one held up for at least 5 days. I called the hotel to tell him he was given approval twice according to the card company. He was very rude would not seek a mangers help. Next morning I wake up to an additional $10 pending on the card so now the card has less than $10 available credit. I called the hotel and spoke with Shelia and first she states Anthony never cancelled the reservation so the night shift had me as a no show and they were trying to get one nights charges. After she reviewed it further since I'm a local they recently stopped renting to locals so Anthony should have not even processed me. I am still waiting for the refund of the $10 that Shelia said she would take care of and the authorization charges to drop. If they do charge me all that money I will dispute the charges with my card company and file a complaint with Marriott International.
We had a family reunion at this location over the Thanksgiving holiday. First we asked to be close to each other so we could visit. We ended up two families on the 4th floor and two families on the 2nd floor. The rooms were not clean. Toothpaste and soap splatters were all around the bathroom sink along with hair on the tub and the floor. The bedding was ill fitting and beds poorly made. We had to adjust the sheets so they covered the corners and did not pop off the mattress. If you sat on the end of the bed, they head of the bed came up off the frame by two feet. There were no instructions on television remote or the boxes that were next to the television. When drawers were closed under the television, the tv shut off. We will not be back. I should not need to bring my cleaning supplies and clean before I feel comfortable in the surroundings. There was dry mud in the hall way that was there for three days. Where is the staff???? Is no one checking on the details??? Guess not......we will try another place for our Thanksgiving holiday.
