We have been here for several weeks as we travel around the area and the staff is what sets this apart from other hotels in the area. There are many kind and friendly people ready and willing to give any information you need. From the man mopping the floor to the housekeeping staff, everyone has a kind word. Mary, at the front desk, answered questions of a local nature with wonderful restaurants, activities, stores and details I would have never known in a year of searching. Between Mary and Sheila - there is always a smile greeting us when we come in. I personally like the fact that the staff has all age groups. A couple of very young employees who are eager to assist and a couple that are more experienced in life and personally understand true customer service and how to make people far from home feel at home. I will be back to see Mary and Sheila and to the stores and places Mary suggested. So far, each one has been a treasure.
The cleanest suite we have ever stayed in. The staff was so efficient and friendly. Thanks to Benjamin and Kristin. All staff should be commended for making this stay a wonderful one with a promise we will return.
New property. Very engaging and helpful staff. Kudos to Sheila. On the way to family in Kentucky, halfway point, gave it a chance. Good pick! Right off highway, lots of dinner choices. Good hot breakfast. Will stay again on trip home. View from our room.
We were originally booked into the springfield suites but the pool was closed. We had promised our 6 year old granddaughter a swim after a grueling 10 hr drive. We switched over to the TownPlace suites next door. After a couple of glitches with our room keys not working the manager, Benjamin Male, stepped in to assist us. The Marriott organisation should be applauding this young man. I travel extensively and always stay at Holiday Inns but due to the fabulous customer service received at this hotel I may reconsider that. He went out of his way to make our stay perfect. So thank you Benjamin! Our 6 year old granddaughter thought you were wonderful. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Lots of dining options very close by. We will be staying here again next time we pass through Bridgeport.

My family booked this hotel thru booking.com while driving south for a da,ily holiday. Booking.com got the taxes wrong and the cost was slightly more than quoted. Other than that, we were thoroughly impressed. At check-in, we were given a standard room. After commenting to the lady checking us in that I hoped my daughter would sleep, she put us on the top floor so it would be quiet. she then went out of her way to see if we would be better served in a one bedroom. She upgraded us and we moved rooms. She was incredibly polite as was the young man at check out the next morning. The rooms both came with full size fridges. The beds were excellent although I slept on the pull out couch. I would not recommend this unless you have to (my daughter and wife slept extremely well in the king bed). The room was noisier. It sounded like someone was running laps above us for awhile. But overall, my family was extremely happy with our stay.
This is a lovely newer property with awesome suites (real kitchens and even almost-full-size refrigerators... WITH a freezer!). Lovely décor both in the lobby/breakfast area and in the rooms. Large laundry facility. PET FRIENDLY! But the real gem here is the staff. I've stayed here a few times and they are super friendly and just bend over backwards to provide anything you need. First off, this is the only hotel who has mentioned/offered a free upgrade with my "gold" standing. I didn't even know the free upgrade was a thing until the manager mentioned it....and this morning, they even went above and beyond what ANY other hotel chain would do - seriously, Ben (the manager) and Mary (the new trainee) SAVED MY DAY today. The batteries died in my car's key fob. Ben checked in his hotel and the sister property next door - no batteries available in the size I needed. So he (Ben) took it upon himself - no hesitation whatsoever - and ran over to the nearby RiteAid and got me not one but a two pack of the battery I needed and refused to allow me to reimburse him for it. While Ben was out being my hero, Mary and the maintenance lead (Sorry, I don't know his name) worked on getting my key fob open so we could replace the battery. They put their heads together and were able to get the fob open and Mary popped the new battery in the second Ben returned from the drug store. I was only 8 minutes late to work, thanks to them. I am a Marriott Loyalist for sure now. (I was one before this happened, but this event solidified my loyalty for sure!) Ben and Mary - you guys ROCK!
Have been to this motel many times. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The rooms are somewhat small, but efficient. I feel that the rooms need updating. In the king room the couch doesn't face the TV. If you want to watch television you have no choice but to lay in bed to watch it. The kitchens are very nice. Full size coffee pot which is wonderful. The mattresses seem to need replacing, as ours have been somewhat saggy and uncomfortable. The red and gold decor needs to go. I like more restful and soothing surroundings. The breakfast is okay. It needs more of a selection. The cleaning staff does a good job, but the daily cleaning should include the cleaning of the sink and toilet every day. On our floor it wasn't done unless it was time for the weekly cleaning. Hand lotion would be a nice added amenity. All in all, I would recommend staying here, and we may stay again in the future.
A very pleasant stay and stay here again if needed. Everything around for shopping and eating etc. Loved the breakfast and the small bar at night. All staff was friendly and helpful. We were on a family visit and will stay again when coming to Wva. We were busy so didn't have much time so we didn't get to the pool but it looked very inviting.
