Wonderful stay for a good size group

A few of my family friends and our little ones stayed at this home, and it was comfortable, roomy, and most importantly it was clean. Everything that we needed to work worked perfectly including the fire place, hot water, fridge, grill and stove. The kitchen was equipped, which was very helpful in making our stay feel like a home away from home. There was a pool table, a large dinner table and overall a lot of fun space for the kids to play. They didn’t want to leave the cabin! The location of the cabin is also ideal. Close enough to the town, but far enough to get nice and quiet at night time. Communicating with our property manager was very easy and quick as well as the check in and check out process. If we ever make it back to Big Bear Mountain, we will definitely want to stay at this place again. Such a positive experience!

Christmas in Big Bear

Home is beautiful and in a great location! Very close to lake and slopes. Unfortunately it had not yet snowed so very few slopes opened with man made snow. The home is very open and spacious. The home kept us very entertained with many activities; there was a ping pong table, pool table, shuffle board, corn hole game and poker table. Outside a hot tub, horse shoe game and gas fire pit we enjoyed every night. Master bedroom does not have a closet only a dresser and some shelves in master bath. Most bedrooms did not include any hangers to hang clothes. One bedroom included only three hangers. This was very inconvenient as we had lots of coats and jackets with nowhere to hang them. For the amount of money you pay to rent the house this truly was not acceptable. Heater seemed to be on an automatic setting or timer causing it to often turn off and you’d feel the cold. I

Great family getaway house!!

We had an amazing time at lazy bear lodge especially with all the snow! AvantStay was great in communicating with us regarding the snow conditions and had the driveway and path to front door plowed for us to park before we arrived. We had to shovel any other areas like the back patio but that was no issue at all. We were able to create our own sledding hill in the back with all the snow (over 4 feet piled high around the house). The house was great for the kids (7 mos, 2 yrs and 2.5 yrs) and all of us adults. The rooms were spacious and had plenty of pillows and blankets stocked and ready to go. The open floor plan was great for the family to cook, eat, and play in. The playroom in the back was wonderful with the pool table, Pac-Man arcade game and even an assortment of toddler/kid toys that were a huge hit. There was a drip and Keurig coffee machine along with a variety of pots,pans, and any utensils you might need for cooking. We will definitely be bringing the family back to lazy bear lodge in future summer trips and winter trips. Location in town was great as well, less than 5 minutes from anything you would need.

Winter Getaway

This property was AMAZING! We loved the home & the layout! We got to build a snow man in the backyard & play with snow. The location was great also. Close to restaurants & grocery store. We can’t wait to come back to rent this property again. Thank you for having us!

Wonderful Winter Park

Upon check in Alex was awesome a great start to our vacation. We’ve been here before so we knew what to expect but still when you open the door… Wow, it’s very impressive! Family weekend getaway

Property was nicer than it looked in the pictures! My family and I enjoyed staying here because it was so close to everything and most importantly, it was very clean. Had a ping pong table, pool table and a old classic pac man arcade that made it fun for all ages. Will definitely stay here again and recommend avantstay to friends and family. Thank you!

Nice quiet cabin with lots of entertainment inside and out.

Very nice quiet place close to the slopes (city is very strict with parking only 4 cars allowed at all times) plenty of room to play with pool table, pingpong and nice little sledding ramp outside which is a big hit for the little ones... well equipped kitchen, bathrooms all stocked with our forgotten toiletries 😁 and very comfortable beds. hope we can stay here again next time.. 🙂

Large Great Room and A Quick Drive To Snow Summit

The great room is fantastic for gathering and the kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked. Beds are comfy, bathrooms are large, the master has a walk in closet with a door that was perfect for a baby sleeping in a pack & play (or a child who can sleep on the floor) and the whole house is clean and new. The 3rd toilet/sink bathroom was nice to have. The game room is right off the great room and has no door but is a big room with a sofa bed for 2 to sleep. It would be nice to have a curtain or some kind of barrier on that opening for sleeping but we couldn’t think of a way to do it. The game room is fun! We loved the house and the only drawback was inconsistent hot water that never got very hot. There is a tankless hot water heater and the tech who came and looked at it said there needs to be enough water flow for the water to stay hot but all the faucets and shower heads are water savers. We never took long showers and tried to figure out how to take a shower without it going cold and hot back and forth for the 4 nights we were there. The most we learned from the tech was to run plenty of water so the system will work. And the water never got very hot. We had faucets on full hot to get water that was warm enough for a shower or to wash dishes but not hot. We managed with the hearty, non-complaining family that we have but it was the thorn in this rose of a house. I hope they will add a second tank or a new one that supplies the hot water this house deserves. It’s too far to walk to Snow Summit but a quick drive to drop off and pick up if you have someone who can do that. It is a long walk. We all liked this home very much. If the hot water was consistent and HOT, and it was closer to walk to Summit, it would be perfect!

Very beautiful place close to everything!

We truly enjoyed our stay in this modern, beautifully designed house. Pros: -Everything was impeccable and nicely decorated. -Plenty of blankets, towels, and dishes. -Management responded very quickly. -The neighborhood was quiet and super close to Snow Summit and town. -There was room for everyone and it had all the necessary stuff, including a small sled in the backyard. - The beds were very comfortable - Very easy to get to Cons: -The fireplace (gas) turns on with a remote control which did not work. I reported it and they did not replace the batteries, so two nights without the fireplace. -Somewhere I read that we could not park inside the garage. -There was only one small pan and one pot. -No handicap access -No jacuzzi. After being in the cold, it would be nice to soak the tired muscles in a hot tub. Other than that, the place is really nice and very close to town and the slopes. We'll probably come back to stay again and tell others about it.

Buggy weekend

Great weekend of buggy runs on fire trails and seeing friends. Kids enjoyed the pool table and Pac-Man . Kitchen is a welcoming entry way, and gathering area. Craftsmanship of house is superb. Will definitely keep this on the list for next year

Last minute getaway

This property was the perfect lodging for our long weekend getaway. We were a group of 2 families, each with 2 adults and 2 younger children. The booking and check in/out process were fairly easy. They sent me text notifications explaining what to do. We were able to check in earlier than the posted time and it was seamless. The property is located on a quiet street and is not far from Snow Summit and from the main boulevard, both walking distances. The house has an open concept layout and cute decor. The rooms are very spacious especially the two bathrooms. The kitchen has a very big island and this was our gathering spot while prepping and cooking our meals and eating. The kids enjoyed the game room especially with the extra toys and the video game machine. Everybody had their own beds to sleep. The bathrooms were big and had double sinks which were a plus. We were not able to use the ping pong table and the cornhole in the garage. There were only 2 minor issues that we experienced while staying at this property. The shower drain from both bathrooms needs to be looked at as water took forever to drain. We saw some ants on the sink in the master bathroom. Even though we had these issues, it wasn’t a dealbreaker for us to fuss about during our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and hope to return to this property next time we are in town.

Amazing Stay

The Lazy Bear Lodge is an amazing property! My group of 8 was perfectly accommodated. The lodge is very modern and has the BEST kitchen. Cooking and making food was one of my favorite parts of my trip because of the huge kitchen. I would definitely love to book another trip here in the future. Booking was also very simple and straight forward.

Fun stay

The house was beautifully kept. There were minor issues - the pull out couch was broken, the stove light was out, and we could have used more water pressure in the showers (shower head problem...not pressure problem). Lastly, they turned the garage into a game room with ping pong and corn hole...but it smelled and was a bit dirty. Other than that, easy access, very clean, fully equipped kitchen, yard is perfect for the kids to play in the snow, and play room kept the kids busy and having fun inside. Overall, a really great stay.

Exceeded all expectations!

Every detail was so perfect for a family get away. The house was beyond spotless and smelled new. All the beds were so comfortable and there were extra blankets and pillows and even a pack and play. The game room was perfect. We spent time in the backyard playing cornhole and the kids played with sticks and went on a “bear hunt”. The neighborhood was quiet and inviting. The location was beyond ideal. So close to everything but far back enough to give a cabin feel. Less than 10 minutes to the marina. We rented a pontoon. Every inch of the house was so well designed and decorated. My oldest son was sad to leave and we even added an extra unplanned day. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful home, perfect weather!

This home was beautiful and very clean. Everything is new and the decor was so nice. The pool table and Pac-Man were huge hits with the kids and adults! There was a corn-hole set in garage which was also enjoyed. Pictures showed ping pong table which is not at property but so much other stuff to do. The kitchen has about everything you could need for cooking in, which we did the entire time with Covid-19 concerns. The beds were all comfortable, no complaints there. The neighborhood is also very quiet and nice and it’s minutes to anything you may want to do. We really enjoyed our trip and plan to come back to this cabin again. Thank you!!

New, clean and beautiful!!!

From the minute we walked in, we were so happy that everything was so clean and new! We had brought some kitchen gadgets from home but didn’t need to use any of them because the kitchen was fully stocked with everything. We had just enough towels, the game room was an awesome size to hang out and the grill was a plus (we made hot dogs and hamburgers). We loved the fact that there was a washer and dryer and the garage fit our car comfortably. Hands down, this is the best cabin! Can’t wait to rent it again.
