Explore the charm post and beam farmhouse with 4 bedrooms near beaches
This quintessential Maine post and beam farmhouse was built in the 1800's! The main house was moved from its original location and added onto over the decades. This home is one of a kind, nestled on 1.3 acres of perfect Maine land. It is only 5/10 of a mile from one of Maine's most picturesque beaches, Biddeford Pool, and super close to one of Maine's top colleges UNE (University of New England).
This home has history and character visible in the wide plank pine floors, post, beam construction, and well-kept landscape surrounding the house, including aged stone walls and fantastic lilac trees. Guest will have access to the entire property - Except for the detached garage and large barn. Please note that this is an old home; there are uneven floors and thresholds you must step over. PLEASE REFER TO "THINGS TO NOTE" below.
This home offers two cozy living rooms with televisions and is the perfect spot to unwind after exploring Maine's stunning coastline. Complete with all the essentials to prepare delightful meals; the kitchen offers a practical and welcoming space for your culinary endeavors.
The primary first-floor bedroom features a plush king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower stall. The second floor has three bedrooms; the first bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed and a twin bed. The middle bedroom has a queen-size bed and access to the second-floor deck to overlook the property. On clear days, you can see the ocean. The last bedroom is best suited for kids, featuring two twin beds and a futon bed. These three rooms share a well-appointed full hall bathroom with a tub/shower unit. The twin-bed bedroom has low ceilings, which is not suitable for tall people.
Outside, you'll find a covered/enclosed porch, ideal for enjoying the tranquil surroundings. The backyard provides a cozy space for family games or relaxing by the fire-pit under the stars.

***THINGS TO NOTE:***
**This is an older home, which is why it is full of charm. That being said, it comes with quirks. As such, the price reflects this. The average hotel room in town is approximately $500-$1000+ (for 2-4 people), depending on the location. If you prefer newer buildings or high-end hotels, this is probably not the best option for you**
The Coffee makers are an 8-cup drip kind and a Keurig type, both on-site for your preference and use.
There may be yard maintenance going on from time to time in the summer (mowing, etc). They will not interrupt you, but we cannot give you advanced notice. They arrive on their own terms.

Home was fully equipped and had all necessary utensils. We had a minor concern and when we reached out to Emily it was resolved immediately. Communication with our host was very prompt. This home was exactly as advertised. It has such history and charm.

The house was amazing. However, there was an infestation of mice. The owner does not want a fire built in the fireplace, so there is no firewood for the fireplace or fire pit out back. If you are staying just to sight see it is a fantastic house, but don’t plan on cozy days by the fire.

Was not very clean. Weather was nice and the porch was cob webs and mold on the ceiling. Pots and pans in the kitchen were not acceptable to cook on. Took trash home with us there were no orange bags per directions. I did send a email to my contact with no response so I took everything with us. Mainly because overflow trash container was already full and not in the correct bags. Lastly the house smelled very musty. Thought that it would pass with air moving but it did not. The only pictures I took was the trash so I didn’t get charged.

Well maintained property with lots of room for 8 (5 adults and 2 children 15 and 11). Close to beaches, attractions in portland and OOB. Even took the 90 minite ride to canobie lake park for the day. Dishes, bathroom towels, beach towels all included. We enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated the smores making ingredients that were left for us to use. The Grill was in great condition and easy to use, plenty of places to relax and socialize with your group. 3 different televisions so everyone could watch their preferred shows. The provided board games were appealing to our kids and our group of adults. Only recommendation I would have is the closest beach with parking requires a 35 dollar parking fee each day you go or 140 if you go for three days. If property owners could purchase a parking pass to that beach, ita only a 4 minute drive from the house and would make a jice ammenity for rental guests.

This may be the best house I have ever rented. There is so much character in this house and it was super comfortable for my family. It is a short walk from a sandy beach and it served us well.

Perfect spot for a large family weekend…
This property was the perfect place for a long weekend for a family of 6 to attend UNE graduation. Definitely the epitome of a historic Maine farmhouse. Plenty of sleeping space and amenities to cook meals. Due to weather, we did not have the opportunity to enjoy the fire pit, but the screened porch was a nice alternative. Would come back again!

We loved the charm and character of this historic home.
The proximity to the beach and everything you could need for a long weekend stay was wonderful. We had a fire in the fire pit and all we needed was there for us.
The beds were comfortable. The place was cozy and inviting.
