The staff was great! We made same day reservations and the gentleman at the counter got us the last room available that accommodated 4 adults! The property was under construction, so not the cleanest, but understandable. The property itself, is safe- room was clean and spacious. There is a restaurant attached which was delicious- great burgers and Mediterranean! The neighborhood around didn't seem like the greatest but we still walked around and returned safely.

You'd think this hotel is one to avoid if you read the many reviews , however I found it to be pleasant and good value for money. Only issue I found was the room was warm even with the windows open and cold conditions outside.

Money stolen & emails ignored

I emailed the hotel twice as I was unsure of how to get to the hotel, both emails were ignored. I visit Berlin most years for business so I’m used to the public transport system and found the hotel myself. Staff were efficient, some less surly than others. As I was the only guest in my room I left a note to disregard the cleaning. Despite this someone entered my room and stole money from a spare wallet hidden in my bag, something I was unaware of until I’d returned home. I won’t be staying here again

This was a mixed experience. The first night was very loud because we were on the side next to the elevated train. The next day we found two bugs in our room that looked like cockroaches. We had had enough and asked for a refund for our remaining 2 nights. The staff said it was normal to have bugs in the room and that they come through the open windows. Which seems weird to me because then why wouldn’t they put screens on the windows? But back to the refund, because it was booked through Expedia they said they couldn’t give us a refund. And Expedia was unresponsive - I tried to contact them through the Expedia site but there was no response. We decided to try one more night but we asked to be on the other side of the hotel. Here it was really quiet and all was well. And the breakfast they provide, at a cost, is very good. Scrambled eggs, sliced meats, fresh buns and bread, yoghurt, fruit salad, juice.

The location is amazing, and the beds were comfortable. However, there is a terrible smell in the hallways and elevator - it was hard to breathe walking down the hall. The room was incredibly hot, and they couldn't find a fan until our last night. The front desk was going to double charge us for the parking because they forgot to enter our payment into the system. Luckily we'd saved the receipt! It wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, but there is a lot of room for improvement!
