Pool and hot tub was very nice
No problems
Made a reservation for a Saturday during the summer, so I expected the price to be high. But $300 is too much. Hall carpeting needs replacement, room needs new furniture and general upgrading. Sort of a lysol-oder clinging to everything. Might be ok as a budget choice, but I've stayed in much nicer places in Bend for less.
Typically Super 8 is my good to for a budget stay. I find them good enough when I'm trying to save few bucks. I needed to go to Bend for one night and summertime prices were beyond belief. Even to stay at this Super 8 was $260, but that's the market/season I guess. I don't hold anything against the hotel for the rates, but the issues I had were two fold. First, I had booked a king size room and was given a queen. I was told the hotel was fully booked so they couldn't change it and the guy working the front desk was incapable of any sort of price adjustment for the lesser room. Second, the air conditioner in the room did not work at all. It seemed to only be in fan mode. At the time of my stay it was 95 degrees in Bend, so this was a pretty big issue. The front desk guy told me again he couldn't do anything and to talk to the attendant when I checked out. Upon check out, I brought up the lack of AC and the wrong room to the new attendant; however, she also was apparently not able to take any action on the matter. This time, I was told that the manager would be in the next day and she'd leave a handwritten note to have her call me. No surprise, I have not received a call. I don't know if everyone was just passing the buck so as not to offer any solutions, or if their business is set up like that intentionally. I understand that the hotel was booked and I couldn't switch rooms, but at the minimum it seems I should have been refunded the upcharge for the room.
There is not elevator to the third floor rooms.
Mean and unfriendly staff , dirtiest room that we’ve stayed ever, all tables were dusty and i used wash rug to wipe everything down, refrigerator so disgusting, was not even touched since last visitor i found their food in there. bath tub and toilet is terrible dirty as well and it’s too old! A/c works but you better not to use it, filter is sooo dirty if turn it on it’s smell awful. smoke alarm needs to be changed it’s way too old and it’s not safe to use that alarm i wonder how they pass building inspection ? window doesn’t have mosquito screen. limited, less then a half roll of toilet paper and no bath tissue at all.
Peaceful and quiet. Convenient to Fred Meyer's and Old Mill District.
I was pleasantly surprised by this property. Everything was clean, friendly and helpful staff, breakfast is a good addition.
Older facility and needed some updates done. It was clean, staff nice just a little run down.
Close to the scenic places we want to visit. The staffs are friendly and helpful. The price is high compared to the same motels in other places.
Breakfast area is very small. There is no elevators so being on the top floor carrying luggage wasn't ideal.
You need to have a copy of the channels for the TV. You should also have the inter access posted in each room.
My son and family live a few blocks from this hotel so the location is very convenient. The night clerk had freshly baked cookies at the counter when I returned for the evening. Nice! The breakfast area was always clean and well-stocked with the exception one morning when I arrived at 6:00 a.m. sharp. I left a small gratuity each day and the maids wrote nice thank you notes to me for that. Always had clean towels and sheets when I requested them. I enjoyed my stay. Thank you.
The indoor pool was freezing cold. The sauffet was falling apart outside...Looked horrible with material falling all over the ground. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast had waffles, biscuits and gravy one day and hard boiled eggs the next, variety of cereals, breads, and fruits. Room was decent enough.
The hotel was fine enough. The bed was a rock though and the TV had no remote. Water pressure was pretty low. The hot tub and pool were clean.
The staff was very friendly. The hotel smelled like smoke even in the no smoking areas. The carpets looked stained and dirty. Our towels and bedsheets were stained.
Needs serious updating in the rooms and the facility. Room was fairly clean hotel staff very helpful and courteous.

I received a note about the air conditioner, and I appreciate that because we were able to fix it. I didn't know I was supposed to call you, or I would have. I would be happy to make an adjustment to your bill, for the inconvenience of a smaller room, and the air conditioner. Please reach out to me again and I will be happy to fix this problem. I'm sorry this happened.

That's true. I apologize that this information was provided when the reservations was made.

This is a very disappointing review, because the bulk of it is untrue. This building is old, but it is clean and maintained. All the windows have screens, and if there was something wrong with your room at the time of your stay, I wish you had brought it to my attention at that time.
