About this property
Private wing on 10 acres with Mountain Views.
Welcome to our family farm. Our lodging consists of a newly remodeled private wing of our house. Our working farm is located on a quiet country road which has some of the best cycling roads in the area, hiking, fly fishing and gorgeous views. The lodging is in a separate wing of our house that is 1300 square feet and is easily accessible via a private entrance. Guests have access to a private bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette and a great room. The bedroom consists of a queen size bed and an armoire for your clothes. Your accommodations face the Three Sister Mountains, Broken Top and Mt. Bachelor. Across from the bedroom is a bathroom with a beautifully tiled shower. Adjacent to the bedroom is a spacious great room with a Smart TV, pull-out queen size bed with a comfortable pillow top mattress pad, a kitchenette with a sink, microwave, refrigerator, George Foreman grill, toaster oven, coffee maker and tableware. We also have complimentary wifi for our guests. Our lodging is perfect for couples and for a family with children. The wing can be accessed from a keypad entry near the rear of the building to ensure privacy. There is a gas grill that guests can use. A washer and dryer is available upon request. Our schedules are busy during the week, but we are happy to make ourselves available by phone throughout the day if you have questions or need recommendations for dining or leisure options. We give our guests all the privacy that they would like, but want them to feel free to walk the property and spend time with our animals if they are so inclined. We love Tumalo which is a jewel in Central Oregon. There are many outdoor activities in the area including hiking, rafting, fishing, skiing, golfing, rock climbing, hunting, snowshoeing, and many more. In town, there are excellent microbreweries, restaurants, festivals, local artisans, and shopping. Our farm is only a three minute drive to Bendistillery, which produces the Crater Lake label that carries whiskey, gin, and vodka. The distillery offers tastings and tours. Our guests also have access to the Deschutes river which is world renowned for its kayaking, rafting, and fly fishing. Our location is only 40 minutes away from Mt. Bachelor ski area and 12 miles from the quaint western town of Sisters. There is minimal public transportation since we are located in a rural area. We suggest guests have their own car in order to explore the area. Our farm is 20 minutes from the Redmond airport, which has a number of car rental services. We are a working farm that specializes in organic produce and farm fresh eggs. We also have a farm stand open from spring to late fall that sells our produce, eggs, homemade pickles, jams, and baked goods. We also offer complimentary coffee coming from Central Oregon daily in your space and always have our farm fresh eggs, granola bars and other goodies for snacking or for a light breakfast to get your day started.
Guests can expect to find a TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a kitchen, a washing machine, and a patio.

Great views, quiet and clean, great location.
The farm was cozy and comfortable. We usually don’t choose homes to vacation at that are not stand alone. The hosts gave us plenty of privacy, but checked in to be sure we had everything we needed, promptly replied to e-mail, and left clear instructions. We had a great time visiting the farm animals, collecting eggs, and enjoyed the sweets!
Thanks for having us, we will be back.

Beautiful
I wish I had more time on my trip to enjoy this place more!! The goats, chickens, sheep and kitties were a huge hit with the kids. The house was absolutely beautiful. Very clean, and I loved the rustic decorations. You can tell they put so much thought in every room. They had games, bubbles, all kinds of books coffee, tea and things to nibble on. I didn't get a chance to sample the eggs, but I'm sure they're delicious! We walked around the property a bit and its gorgeous. You can tell they put a lot of work and love into it. I met David while we were staying there, and he was so accommodating and kind. All around I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Comfy and fun!
Our little family loved our stay at the farm! The property is very clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The kitchenette was perfect for our needs. We loved the games, the thoughtful cookies, and, most of all, the goats! How wonderful to have a spot to explore at our own leisure. It really gave our kids time to warm up to the animals and have a really unique experience with them. Gorgeous views, a quick drive to Tumalo food carts and delicious pizza, as well as hiking at Tumalo State Park and enjoying all that Bend and Mt. Bachelor have to offer. We will definitely be back. Thanks for creating this little haven and sharing it with us!

Like a home away from home!
Beautiful property with a gorgeous view of the mountains. Convenient location to town and state parks. Owners were nice and accommodating. The fresh eggs and bread were a nice addition to our stay. Property is beautifully decorated, and everything looks to be brand new. Loved being able to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. Despite this being a working farm, it was quiet around the clock.

Good stay
We were very busy exploring Bend but thought we would at least get to meet Donna and David, that wasn't the case. We had never been to a BnB but thought breakfast would be included in the stay and if so, some instruction on what time or how to go about it so we just went out in town for breakfast. We would have liked to purchase some pie, farm fresh eggs and canned goods but again, we didn't see them not once in our 3 night stay and didn't want to bother them in their home. Overall the place was nice. It was out of the city which was great. The shower was nice and decor was super cute. The bed was really hard and not comfortable for us as well as the couch/futon in the living space. The goats were cute and really friendly. We thought it would be a place we would come back with the kids because of the reviews about how welcoming and friendly the hosts were sharing their garden , doing cooking classes, letting kids fetch eggs and how breakfast was great but we didn't really experience that so we are not sure. Also, it's almost been a week and still haven't received my money back from the damage deposit. The recommendations for food and activities were great too.

Entry into our stay in Oregon
My husband and I spent two nights (August 16-18) at this lovely farm near Bend. It was a perfect place to stay for us to access various hiking trails. We were greeted by fresh flowers,
homemade scones and eggs from the farm for breakfast. The living space fit our needs and
provided a home way from home.

Dont pass this up- great place and amazing pie!
We stayed for 3 nights in late summer. Donna and David were great hosts. We walked around the farm, fed the goats and chickens. The farm stand was full of fresh veggies, eggs, jam and the best pie Ive ever had!
This place is centrally located with easy access to both Bend and Sisters. Tumalo park is five minutes away so we were able to jump in the river whenever we wanted.

Pleasant Get-Away
The accommodations are very comfortable and the patio is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Donna and David are great hosts. The location is rural, so quiet and peaceful. The bed is extremely comfortable and the shower is delightful. Only problem, if you like to cook while vacationing, this is not for you. We did it, but it was difficult. Would definitely go back.

A lovely, peaceful place to stay, gracious hosts, comfortable bed and quaint, farm style space
We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a lovely place and very comfortable and inviting. Beautifully decorated, cute, farm style touches, we loved it. Quiet location, yet close enough to everything, just what we needed. Playing guitar on the patio with the host was a delightful time, very gracious and welcoming hosts. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Freshfield Farm
Our family of 4 stayed here for one week and the owners really made us feel welcome. Our children (ages 12 and 7) learned to gather eggs in the mornings and enjoyed feeding the goats. We were offered fresh eggs every morning. We had a baking class with Donna, and learned how to make several French inspired desserts. Donna was very patient with the four of us and the kids enjoyed working in the kitchen. David let us try out the ATV quad on the property. This was our home base for exploring the beautiful city of Bend-great hiking trails, river rafting, dining.

We had a wonderful experience
We will always look for the Freshfields Farm Bed and Breakfast when we visit Bend in the future. This was my first stay in a VRBO and I am sold! Yes there was not an over-chlorinated swimming pool, but there were plenty of chickens and two baby goats that made my child extremely happy. We enjoyed the farm atmosphere and the view of the mountains. Our rooms were quiet, clean and extremely enjoyable - plenty of games and Dish TV.
And the breakfasts! Delicious. Not the gross breakfast fare you get at the expensive Hotels. Donna brought over eggs, bacon, sausage, cheerios, etc both mornings. She was also very flexible on what time to bring breakfast over. Also, the refrigerator was stocked with water, yogurts, cheeses, etc. Donna sent us off with a dozen of fresh farm eggs as well. Her home-made Apple Strudel pie is also a must (you will need to purchase that.)
We were concerned that the drive from Bend would be too long, but it only took 19 minutes and there was never much traffic. So if you are wanting to do a lot of activities in the Old Mill District, the drive takes no time.
My child is already asking when we can go back again.

It doesn't get much better than Freshfields Farm
My wife and I were in town for the Peterson Ridge Rumble 20 miler. Since we are from Seattle, we decided to make a weekend out it. We were warmly greeted by Donna as we arrived and were impressed with the size, cleanliness, and amenities included in our cabin. The place is tastefully decorated and my wife and I joked that it was bigger and nicer than some of the places we lived in San Diego. Donna provided us with breakfast consisting of farm fresh eggs, potatoes from the garden, fresh fruit, and homemade pastries- a breakfast that would easily cost $20 in the city. On the morning of our run, Donna made us a special breakfast and delivered it an hour earlier according to our schedule. We could not have asked for more during this stay. The bed was warm and comfortable, coffee and drinks in the refrigerator, Wi-Fi and peace. The location was great, service impeccable and a dozen farm fresh eggs to take back to Seattle. We will definitely stay here again.
