Well located and ideal for business stay. Free secure on site parking . Free WiFi. Breakfast included. Comfortable room. Hotel bar open till 3am. Good all round stay. 65-80 euro a night ideal price range
Our room was clean and quiet - everything we needed. Tea and coffee, topped up shower gel in dispensers (believe me we've had plenty of times in Hotels without this!) and VERY comfortable beds. I have a back problem and rarely have a good night sleep in any hotel, even 5 star. This was the most comfortable bed I've come across for a long time. Breakfast was first class, not crowded and plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and efficient. Good Wifi at all times. Free use of computer and printer in reception. Building works next door didn't start till 9am so wasn't a problem for us. Only minor thing was there is not one drawer in the room - so our underwear had to sit on the desk! Very near Botanic gardens and Ulster Museum. Plenty of restaurants at one end of the street. Would stay here again - was a very good experience over 3 nights.
My husband and I stayed here for a week. The hotel is a little out of town but an easy 10 minute walk or approx £5 in a taxi to town centre and a great choice of bars and restaurants. The staff are helpful and pleasant. The hotel is clean and quiet with a late bar and great breakfast selection. Would definitely stay here again.
Was here for the weekend when Germany were playing N Ireland in football and the hotel was full of Germans, all very polite and restrained. The staff were great, the room was small but adequate. The bed was comfortable . Surprisingly, there was no car park, but we were able to park on the street.
This was our second visit to the hotel and we found it as good as the first visit. Only downside is the noise from the building work that is going on at the back of the hotel but this should be finished early next year. On both visits, we have arrived Sunday night and left Monday. We got a room for £62 including breakfast which is amazing value. Rooms are basic but spotlessly clean and have everything you need. Staff on reception are very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is absolutely fine - good choice and set us up for the day. The hotel is sited in the University area and whilst the surrounding streets are not the best, it is in an excellent place for a sightseeing base. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a budget short break. The price we got I believe is only achievable on a Sunday night when the hotel is a bit quieter.
A very warm welcome after an early morning flight from England and a room was available on arrival. The rooms are very comfortable and there is a good choice of both hot and cold food for breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful organising tickets for the sightseeing bus tour and taxis when required. A daily newspaper of your choice was available on request and also a 2 o'clock checkout. It was a 20 minute walk to the city centre however taxis are readily available for those who find walking difficult. There are plenty of eating places within 10 minutes of the hotel that serve a variety of food. We would use this hotel again.
Great hotel, very clean and tidy rooms. Breakfast was delicious with great variety. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Anything we asked for was no problem. Couldn’t fault this hotel for anything.
Me and my partner stayed here in March 2017 for 2 nights on our weekend away in Belfast. It was a lovely hotel, it had great breakfast, clean rooms with everything you needed provided. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The bar was great to have a drink before and after going out too! It is around a 20 minute walk from the city centre but it is nice to sit see along the way. We tended to go for food and drinks more locally in the Botanic area. There were plenty bars and restaurants here which was a much more reasonable walk to and from the hotel especially at night. We visited the Titanic museum whilst here and it was amazing definitely worth a visit! and only 5 minutes in a taxi. I would highly recommend this hotel. We would definitely return.
I am aware that Holiday Inn is budget level accommodation and I have taken that into consideration in this review. We stayed here for one night the weekend before Halloween this year. The hotel its self was modern spacious & clean, but that's all the good I can say, From start to finish the experience was horrible. Driving in to the rear of the hotel the gates opened and we were literally on a building site. Parking was in an unfinished car park with a very dangerous entrance & exit shared with no road markings or warnings. We had to walk up unfinished stairwell back through the building site to enter the hotel. As I said room was nice , but then came dinner. Even though the Bar/Restaurant was empty service was deplorable. Had to chase a menu, were initially refused a kids menu , were refused a half portion off main menu, had to goto bar & order ourselves, couldn't even get a straw for kids drinks. Was asked for payment on ordering.I explained you have my credit card & I will be ordering more drinks etc.Was still asked for payment for every drink. When the bill did arrive to be paid Euros weren't accepted. Never Again
Hotel perfectly located in the Queens district on the very quiet University Road. Takes 10-15 min stroll into City Centre. 5 Min walk to bustling area with lots of food options and a couple of good bars and cafes. Hotel staff were lovely, rooms very clean and functional. Extension works ongoing when we were there but place kept very clean and quiet. Some loud guests came in at 330am and were dealt with very quickly and efficiently by staff and we call got back to sleep. Breakfast is good with plenty of options, nothing fancy but plenty of everything. Hot breakfast was well cooked, cold options were limited but fine. Great value for money and very comfortable and safe
