Holiday Inn Express Belfast City - Queen's Quarter

Recently stayed 2 nights at this hotel and can honestly say it is the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed at. If It wasn't for doors slamming, lights buzzing or jackhammers next to the hotel going off then it may have been a bit quiet. The rooms itself are basic. Reminded me of a dodgy travelodge I stayed in years ago. The bed is not great and the pillows are terrible. The location ain't the best either.. you need to get taxis to anything half decent. Taxis can cost between £5 and £9 to get you to Victoria Square or the Titanic experience. What I would say that was good was the staff and the breakfast. If you say to reception that you would like a taxi then they will order one for you. The breakfast was very good. They have most things like a full English to cereal to pastries to yoghurt. In conclusion I wouldn't stay at this hotel again and probably not at another holiday Inn express. In hindsight I think it would be better to pay a bit more and stay more central to belfast city.

Stayed here with my partner during summer 2016. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We'd no issues, the room was spacious it had a couch & an office desk with a chair which was unexpected as it was so cheap! Close to the city we walked in most days. Staff were lovely. Pleasant man at the reception desk in the evening on our last night, requested a late check out as my partner fell ill and it was no issue and was made feel respected. Breakfast was nice too. No issues with the place

Unfortunately our stay at this Holiday Inn location was not at all what we are used to. I love staying in Holiday Inn Expresses across North America, however this one was different. The beds were terribly uncomfortable and the pillows very hard. It was like sleeping on the box spring of a bed with no mattress. We woke up at 8am to jackhammering, which was not very welcoming on a family holiday. The room was terribly warm and the second bed was an even more uncomfortable pull out bed. The washroom was bare minimum, as was the room. No extras at all. The staff were friendly, although not forthcoming with help for the issues described. The location is good, a short walk to many attractions and a great bus tour of the city. Would definitely not stay here again. Main complaint is the beds. Like sleeping on the box spring. No pillow-top at all. Terrible.

Good location free of the noise and bustle of the city centre yet still within easy walķing distance of the nightlife on and around the Dublin Rd.The hotel was clean had a comfortable bed and served up a varied and tasty choice of breakfast. My only disappointment was the closure of the carpark which meant on street parking and the insecurity that brings. Until they sort this they should not be advertising free parking.

Stayed for one night in the hotel situated in the University district, room was nice, good breakfast and helpful staff, Jacqueline was particularly helpful, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

I have reviewed this hotel and need to update you on the last two stays.... last month I was in a room next to a family who had three rooms with a lot of teenagers. Teenager quiet at midnight is not adult quiet. Please make sure your room is away from families as the walls are quite thin. Last night a neighbour returned at 4am and, after hearing every ablution, stuck the telly on.. try to get away from other engaged rooms if you can!

Stayed at this H.I.E last week, which offered a comfortable room at reasonable rates. Breakfast was included in their nightly rate which was reasonably presented in "Buffet Style" the quality of which was acceptable ! Due to my late arrival I made an error of judgement and decided to eat at the hotel restaurant, however the quality of what was produced from the kitchen on that occasion was not only expensive but inedible! My advice on this occasion is to eat at one of the many establishments within walking distance of the hotel !

Hotel Staff lovely and also very helpful. This hotel is an easy 15 minute walk to the city, however there are also some nice restaurants near to the hotel. Excellent service from all involved in the tourism industry throughout Belfast, Restaurant /cafe staff, bar staff, tour bus staff, well done all.

Lovely room. Plenty of space. Very good shower. The bed was very comfortable. Good choice of food for breakfast. Will definitely stay there again. The staff are friendly & helpful. I was very impressed with the hotel. It is in quite a handy location for most amenities.

This is a nice hotel, in a good location and pleasant, friendly staff. Arrived on Monday after a day trip to Dublin and booked into our twin room which was decent enough. I loved the shower (was big for the hotel) and the breakfast was really nice. I would rate this slightly better then the holiday inn towards the centre but that's personal preference. As I was mostly drinking in Belfast I didn't take pictures, but we had a fun and enjoyable time. Nice birthday few days for me.
