Good Quality Budget Accommodation My accommodation is booked through my employers booking team, on this particular occasion my usual accommodation was not available therefore they booked me into Holiday Inn Express Belfast City Queens Quarter. I was initially apprehensive as the area of town isn’t the most polished, however the accommodation was clean and staff were very helpful. I was given a twin room which had two single beds, this wasn’t ideal however on the whole I slept well. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh as one would expect from a serve yourself style hotel. On the whole the hotel offered good level of service and value for money which one would expect from a budget hotel, wifi was also included. I would stay here again when in Belfast for business without any quibbles, I would be requesting a room with a double bed though.
No mention of car park being out of use due to the renovation works anywhere. 40mins later I finally found a spot, won't be back here until parking is sorted, hotel is bang in the middle of a housing estate, if you have a hire car avoid!
Lovely size room with comfortable bed , modern shower room and aTV with lots of channels . Cleaning of the room was first class. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful . Buffet breakfast was extensive and very filling ! My wife and myself thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone. Location is only about 20 minute walk from the City with plenty of eating and drinkng places on route.
This hotel was well located near the University. Clean, friendly, with a comfortable room. Breakfast was good but evening meals left a lot to be desired. My first meal was a beef fajitas (plural). Only one wrap served with plenty of filling, the filling was slightly over cooked a little dry and colourless. Second evening the madras was not available so I opted for a beef burger. It was over cooked, bland and leathery, no relish. Mac Donald's would have been half the price and twice as good, and I am no lover of Mac Donald's! If I had been served the fish and chips the guy next to me had I would have sent it back. It was not a nice golden colour but brown curled up and very dry looking, again massively over cooked.
Stayed here for 3 nights on our first trip to Belfast. The hotel is located in the university area so a nice 10 to 15 minute stroll into the city centre. On arriving in Belfast at 10am I phoned the hotel to ask if they had luggage storage space until we could check in our room later in the day? I was told that they already had a room ready and we could check in immediately. The room was clean and spacey. They are currently having some expansion work done but as we were out all day this did not affect us. Breakfast buffet style is included and has an excellent choice from cereals to a full cooked breakfast. Excellent value for money and would highly recommend, the staff are always happy to go the extra mile without even being asked to. At the end of our stay they securely stowed our luggage for us till we were due to fly home later in the evening.
I'm not going to lie, I wasn't expecting much from my stay here. I was only going to be there one night and it was the only hotel in the area with a free bed. I take it back. The staff was amazingly helpful and personable. The room was much bigger than I imagined and very comfortable and aesthetic. The location is convenient though there isn't much in the way of views. Obviously, that's not the hotel's fault!
Stayed here as a birthday treat with my sister. Hotel perfectly located and were able to walk into city centre although the staff are happy to arrange taxis. The staff are very friendly. The room was spotless. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast had a wide selection. Would possibly stay again
A lovely hotel, fairly well placed for exploring the city of Belfast. Everything as you would expect from holiday inn. What made this hotel exceptional was the warm welcome we received at our check in, the young girl on duty ( wish I got her name) sat 3 rd June 10.30 am was an absolute treasure, she offfered us immediate check in with choice of rooms (306)She informed us regarding the open top bus tours, arranged shuttle pick up, told us of various bars and restaurants around the town, she couldn't have been more helpful, a credit to the establishment.
My wife and I have visited quite a few city centre hotels in Belfast over the years. This hotel has been the one we have been pleasantly surprised with the most, by the level of cleanliness in the rooms and the no nonsense approach at check in. The rooms were very well laid out and extremely functional for our stay. All the staff were very helpful especially at breakfast service. We will back without doubt as we have found a very underated hotel for our visits to Belfast.
All the staff I had contact with during my stay were friendly and welcoming. Location is not right in the chaos of city centre yet it is close enough to walk there and there are some fantastic restaurants right nearby. The hotel had a notice apologizing for renovation disruption and quite frankly I wouldn't have even known renovation work was happening if they hadn't told me. Excellent hotel and good value for money.
