Great view

We loved the view and the quiet location. The road up to the house was a little crazy. Appreciated the game room and books for our grandson. The house was very clean! The porches and game room could have used a little attention.

This property is very warm and inviting. Well stocked with all the amenities. The views and location are second to none. Cant wait to come again, but would have loved to bring the fur babies.

Great backyard and GREAT View

This property has a wonderful view, great covered deck.The property has very good WiFi. Loved the location at Lake Vallecito. Lots to do at the lake and a short drive to Durango or Pagosa Springs. However, arrival at the front entrance or the property is a dirty front porch, chairs too filthy to sit on, pile of owl droppings with black bugs running in and out. The furniture on the rear deck is not much better. The cushions are really too dirty to sit on. I took a grill mat to cook on so as not to mess up the grill, but the grill was so full of grease we had a pretty good fire going the first time to turned it on and we hadn't even started our food. Flames and smoke everywhere. The main shower/tub was not draining, filled up to above the ankles. We had to take the stopper out and dig out a huge amount of hair, black with mold. I sent a photo of that freaky mess to the property manager. Other small things like dirty dishes in the cupboard, dirty pan in the drawer, kitchen floor less than clean and old entry mats with rolled up edges that don't let the door close. We really did enjoy the back deck, we had some large towels in our car we could drape over the cushions and we found a pack of cleaning towels in the house to clean up the table. Property has a nice kitchen and appliances.

Peaceful lake cabin with an amazing outdoor deck with propane firepit & stunning lake views. Home was well equipped & great for all ages. Lovely stay for the week! Thank you for sharing this home with us.

Relaxing Getaway

We loved this house. The outdoor patio and the way it stayed shaded all day made for a relaxing place to sit and relax while our kids played in the yard. Weather was cool in the mornings and evenings and even without AC we were able to keep things comfortable even during hot weather. The lake was beautiful, Vallecito Creek Trail was our favorite, and we enjoyed day trips into Durango.

Comfortable, lovely lake view home.

We booked this home last minute after our other reservation was cancelled on us. I had to make a really fast decision on booking this one, and it turned out great! This home was perfect for my family of 4 plus my parents, so 6 people total. The kitchen was updated and well stocked. The dining table and living room was big enough for all of us to relax and enjoy. The large covered patio was so lovely to have; furniture made a perfect early morning coffee spot to sit in the silence and watch the deer that call the back yard home. In addition, there is an upper deck off the upstairs that is perfect for night time star viewing! This house is close to the lake and marina, where you can fish and rent fishing boats and kayaks. There are a couple of small grocery stores at the lake and a restaurant on the north end of the lake where we had dinner one night. About 35-40 minutes from Durango, which is a fun mountain town with a lot to do and great restaurants and down town shopping district. The property manager was very responsive to questions and issues. We really enjoyed our stay!

Look just as advertised might be nice to have upstairs bathroom. The only negative was the patio area was extremely dusty. We had to wipe everything down before we could enjoy the amazing view.

Perfect home! Beautiful view!

The house was perfect! Very clean, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen! Large covered back porch that has comfortable furniture, one could easily take a nap out there. It’s not directly on the lake but has a wonderful view! Thirty minutes from Durango with plenty of options of things to do for the whole family! Would definitely return!

Family Get Away

This home was the perfect accommodations for our family. Plenty of room, very clean and the views were absolutely amazing! This was the first trip we have been able to take together since our kids became adults. It really gave us a chance to lounge in a comfortable environment to catch up and reconnect. We also had a little family fun competing in ping pong :-) I highly recommend this location!

Beautiful, Just as listed

We so enjoyed our stay. When we return this will be the place we will look to see if it is available. Comfortable beds, Spacious common areas. Gorgeous lake views. we had Deer and turkey come by in the morning. The house was very clean, and necessities were there.

Spring Break Snow

Our family of five had a cozy and comfortable experience at Lake Vallencito. The house had everything we needed and our children enjoyed the ping pong, darts and foosball. The scenic ride to Durango was about 30 minutes and the private road to get to the property is steep but can be made in two wheel drive. Our kids really enjoyed playing in the abundant snow. The only down fall we experienced was the unreliable wifi connection, but the views from the back porch made up for it. Our family had a great vacation at the snowy destination.

Great house! Views that will last a lifetime! Second and third bedrooms are kind of small for adult children. Would be better if a little closer to the lake for fishing, but wonderful place overall.

Vacation in the pines
