Incredible Property

I stayed in Sam’s house with a large group on a friend’s trip. We had an incredible time - views, pool, dock and river area all great. Indoor areas are all exactly as advertised. Would recommend to any large group traveling together.

Great party house!

As one of our guests remarked upon walking in - "the house knows what it was built for." And it is great for it! It has a lot of beds in a windy, somewhat confusing layout. It is a beautiful location and great for bachelor/bachelorette parties. It is ~35-40 min from downtown Austin.

What a Dream! Perfect House for Kids & Adults

We had the best time! Our kids ages 6-17 and All adults had the best vacation possible. We couldn’t of asked for anything more! The owner of the home was amazing and helpful if we had a question. Our family made some of best and priceless memories that will last forever! This house has everything and we did not need anything! Thank you so much for our stay! We will definitely be back! ❤️

Disappointing

Great location and potential, but many basic things need improvement especially at $$$$/night... 1. Coffee carafe did not fit the coffee maker and it was covered in significant mold. 2. Lake house without ice. The ice makers for both refrigerators were out of order. Another ice maker also wasn't making ice. 3. The kitchen sink faucet leaked and worked poorly. 4. The majority of the beds were single layer, plastic mattresses. Very, very cheap. 5. The listing "Just Renovated everything like new" is misleading. The walls were recently painted and flooring/decking updated, but the appliances were >25 years old and several of the bathrooms had the original hardware. 6. Opened food from previous tenants (loaf of bread, etc) 7. Limited cooking supplies. No baking sheet or pyrex or similar for the oven so couldn't bake something as simple as biscuits.

Awesome Property! When the weather was good we really enjoyed using the dock and hanging in the water. Plenty of room for our entire group. Would definitely stay again!

40th birthday celebration

More than enough space at this lakefront property! The water slide was a blast along with the paddleboards. Right around the corner from Ski Shores too. Wish we would have stayed an extra night!

Birthday Surprise

We celebrated my husband’s birthday with family and friends. The house is gorgeous! The surprise was epic! We could all be together on the main floor patio with giant fan! The pool and lake deck were spectacular! Love!

Great stay!

Had a great time staying at the property. Plenty of room for everybody to have some space and enjoy the great deck/outside areas. Sam was very responsive while we were staying there and also prior to check in. Great experience, would definitely recommend to any larger groups looking for a place on the lake!

Awesome location and set up

This house was perfect for our trip to Austin. The house had a ton of beds and lounging areas. Lots of outdoor space to enjoy the views and great weather. Process was great and would stay here again.

Great stay despite owner’s sexist comments beforehand

While the dock was unenjoyable and unusable due to a colony of mayflies, we still had a great time. The pool was awesome and the house is just as described. The owner was extremely worried about “single girls” causing guys to go wild and disturb the neighbors, but he was very hands off once we were there. All in all, great time, just could’ve done without the ageist and sexist comments from the owner 2 days before our stay.

Great Location, Great House, Great Stay

Had a great experience at this rental. House is in a great location and had plenty of space for our group. The pool and lake access were great as well. The house was in good condition despite being a little older, but everything seemed to work and the property was stocked with basic household materials: cleaning supplies, dish soap, bath soap/shampoo, paper towels, paper plates, pool towels, etc. Highly recommend for anyone looking to spend a weekend with friends in Austin!

Good house for a bachelor party

Great house for enough sleeping accommodations and living space. Outdoor area has a great view and is definitely a good area to hang out. That being said, the house is a probably a decade or two past it's hay day - so perfect for a bachelor party, but wouldn't recommend for a luxury family vacation. Host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating - we had no issues.

Lake House

It's an excellent house for a guys' weekend on the lake--lots of privacy and bunks. The dock and waterslide are functional at the bottom of the hill. Local boat rentals will pick you up on the dock. The house is a 30 min Uber to downtown.

Fun House on Lake Austin

We had a great family vacation at Sam's house. The house was plenty big enough for a Big Family. We had plans to go sight seeing around town, but we enjoyed ourselves so much at the home that we never really left except to go get groceries once in 7 days. We had a great time on the dock, renting the pontoon boat, enjoying the pool, sitting and chatting on the top deck, the kitchen area just cooking and hanging out and the whole house in general. Sam was great in answering the phone and returning calls prior to our arrival. Once we arrived we never really had any other questions and we enjoyed ourselves the whole time.

Great House For a Group!

House was awesome, plenty of room inside and great accomodations outside. House is right on the water and the dock/slide/diving board makes for a good time. Sam was easy to deal with and checking in and out was very simple. Overall would recommend.
