The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel does need some renovations due the furniture being dated.

So far it was ok, loved the room but somethings got to be done bout the smell. Its not stink or anything just you could tell theres a odor in the room that aint clean. So far the hotels I've been to never had a lingering smell but this one did.

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I think the mattress was brand new. New furniture was being delivered as I checked in. The bathroom was nicely appointed and updated. I had a very comfortable stay.

There was a huge roach in my room. Very disappointed. This is the second time I’ve had to deal with bugs. I will not be booking a room at this hotel again. It’s disgusting

The room was extremely dirty, the cover had questionable stuff on it and the pillow cases were so thin in places that they were close to being holes. There were roaches in the room. One of the lamps was broken and nothing would stay plugged into the outlets. The ceiling in the bathroom looked like it was going to start peeling off, and had cracks. There was also a smell throughout the whole building, it was disgusting. I honestly want a refund, this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at.

The room they put me in had bugs, it’s dirty, plus the heat and the cable in my room didn’t even work. I am extremely disappointed as I’ve stayed here quite a few times and it’s never been this bad

The price is reasonable but the rooms definitely need to be updated. There were stains on most of the furniture in the room. The bed dipped in at the top as well which was weird, however the employees were very nice and helpful

It was a good value for the area, for the most part everything was fine. The property itself was not as updated as I expected, but it didn’t affect my staying there. The wi-fi was never good, that would be my only complaint. The staff was very nice and friendly, and there is free continental breakfast.

sink did not drain. shower rod was broken such that the shower curtain was arced downward and shower curtain would not stay up Worst of all was finding a pair of underwear under the sheets of the supposedly newly made bed with clean sheets on the night we arrived. the manager herself was apologetic, nice, and changed the bedding. since the hotel was full, we could not change rooms, but we wanted to see that we were getting clean bedding anyway. To top this off, we were not offered any form of apologetic compensation, such as a reduced rate or full refund. because I asked about points for my stay, the manager called later to indicate she would give me points although not typically allowed since this was an Orbitz booking. Had I not asked about points, I would have not even received this minimal apologetic compensation. Ke y message: check the bedding in this hotel before accepting the room you are assigned and start unpacking.

The parking was close to the building and each parking spot had enough room to park

This property needs attention!! Parking lot has abandoned vehicles. Outdoor pool was cloudy...desperate for chemicals. Could not get a printed receipt. Asked 2 people. Room...chipped tub, caulk missing, back plate to the handle was coming off. Walls and baseboards are filthy throughout the whole hotel. Breakfast... empty cereal dispenser. 2 trash containers overflowing all morning. Hot food- (opinion) not good at all.

No one was outright rude. It's just that no in this hotel cares. It was a long shot, but we asked for an early check-in, but we could not, and that was alright. We came back at 3 (check-in time) and we were in our room by 3:50 with a lack of clean linens due to only one washing machine. We were given 2 towels. We headed for the pool. Cloudy, hairy, buggy...Having an efficient fridge in room was the greatest perk. The idea of having the microwave in room was nice, but it smelled of Ramen feet. Housekeeping is a hard job, but it is a job and for the love of God people, do your jobs. Don't glare at guests, and rub your belly, when they walk by and smile. Use the elevator! Those carts are huge. But grow up. Don't act irritated when I want to use the elevator too. Dust the rooms on the 4th floor. And clean the damn t.v. screen. It doesn't matter though. You can't watch t.v. when the batteries you are given at the front desk for the remote don't work. Someone had a diaper rash cream explosion??? I hope... in room 421. On the the nightstand and chair arm. Wyndham! Replace the carpet in ALL THE ROOMS! Glad I brought my houseshoes. The baby daddies and boyfriends, hanging out at the back door, need to go. The bed linens appeared to be fresh and the bed was comfy. I actually meant to book at the Baymont in downtown Augusta and I will not make the same mistake twice. I don't know that I would ever book at a Wyndham again.

After we came in late and slept and we're about to check out, we found out there was absolutely no hot water

Room reserved for my 18yo granddaughter who traveled to Augusta for het boyfriends graduation. Arrived finding that i had booked her reservation in a bad neighborhood. I thought i was booking at the I20 Baymont. She was afraid to stay there and moved to the Baymont ay the I20 location. Was charged again. Bad experience gor a first time out on her own😣

The room stunk. Microwave was making weird noises. Staff was very efficient in fixing the problems. Found a bed bug as we were leaving.

The warm water did not work in the shower, The towels had holes one appeared to have brown poop stain on. I never have wrote a bad review. I would like a refund!

Front desk at check in needs a personality. My room had Table/desk had crumbs on it, stir stick on the floor (obvious didn’t vacuum) used soap in shower along with used washed cloth. However I did have some very nice housekeepers ask me a few hours after check in if I want my room cleaned, they were the only two friendly staff I came across.

Thank you for choosing to stay at the Baymont Inn and Suites Augusta West. We really value your loyalty. We are sorry you suspected bug activity in your room. I assure you that we have a pest control person here daily to inspect any presence of bugs. We will have him inspect the property and rooms. We are in the process of renovating and unfortunately we are experiencing some growing pains. We upgrading our cable and internet providers. Due to our occupancy levels the installer is attempting to install the cable while guests are still on the property. Most installation take about 10-15 mins but some may take slightly longer due to the complexity of the wiring. We are sorry if you were inconvenienced in any way. We hope on your next visit the renovations will be complete and you will be able to enjoy all the wonderful upgrades this property has to offer. Thanks for taking the time to complete a review. It was a good value for the area, for the most part everything was fine. The property itself was not as updated as I expected, but it didn’t affect my staying there. Dear Anonymous, Thank you for reviewing Baymont Augusta West. Your feedback is very important to us and will be used to help us make improvements as needed. I remember the issue with your room very well as I was the manager who came and attended to your room. I sincerely apologize then and now for the issue with your bed. Seeing that you booked via a third party and paid online I felt that giving you Wyndham rewards points were a sufficient means of compensation since you were not receiving points for your stay. As I explained to you, since you booked and paid on line discounting your stay was not the best option. I do recall you being very thankful for the points once I explained that you would be rewarded for your stay. Once again I am very sorry that you may not have enjoyed your stay or feel compensated, but I was more than courteous and generous in resolving your unpleasant stay. Thank you for visiting with us while in the Augusta area.
