Relaxing Private Cottage

We loved Hooper’s cottage! The stream and porch space created a wonderful backyard and the fire pit was perfect for our group! The large dining table was greatly appreciated. This is a great getaway for friends!

Quick weekend getaway

Absolutely LOVED the property! It was exactly as pictured and what we expected if not better. Such a beautiful area and so nice and quiet- but yet super close to anything you may need in a short drive. I'm originally from the area and we needed a quick place to stay for the Easter weekend so we wouldnt have to drive back and forth to NC. This house was perfect for that! The creek in the back was perfect for the kids and they had an absolute blast with the ping pong table. Everyone had their own space, plenty of bathrooms, and every room was nice and clean. We all wish we could have stayed longer!

Super Clean and Great Accommodations

We were thrilled with the cleanliness of this home. The kitchen had quality utensils and the household soaps and linens were a very good quality as well. They were not cutting corners to outfit the items necessary for an enjoyable stay. The place was so relaxing and well decorated. There were plenty of games for the kids. We will definitely bring our family to stay here again.

Such a Great Stay!

My group and I really enjoyed this property! I have family who live in the area and this house was perfect to travel back and forth to. Wonderful space in the upstairs, with a large dining table and nice kitchen area. The kitchen was amazingly stocked with everything we needed to cook! The downstairs was adorable and a great spot for others to have privacy. We enjoyed the firepit by the creek and the lawn toys were a great addition. Overall very comfy, charming and homie. We will definitely consider staying here again the next time we are in town!

Lovely

This was such a lovely stay. Our 3 children loved the creek and the home layout. The downstairs was great for the tweens. They enjoyed the game room with the ping pong table. Great family hang out home.

Clean and everything u need

The property was clean. It had everything you needed to cook with from foil to seasonings. Perfect for a family of 8 as there is main floor living room and downstairs living room to give everyone space. Perfect.

Peaceful stay

The house was so cute and situated by a babbling brook. The brook wasn’t large enough to swim or play in, but the sound was great! The bamboo forest in the back of the house was so neat too. Beautiful place and it was so peaceful!

Stayed for Wedding at Laurel Falls

Great place. It was a little further from Venue than told but it worked out just fine. We had seniors with walkers and there was no issues with accessibility to accommodations. Backyard and deck were delightful to enjoy. Many thanks!

Even better than expected!

We loved our stay at the Hooper’s Creek Cottage! It was so adorable, and had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. The creek was a high point for the kids, and we plan to stay again in warmer months so we can fully enjoy it. We had lots of fun playing ping pong and enjoying the toys and games they had available. The house was immaculate and well stocked with essentials. My only critical note would be that the description states the king sized bed is in the en-suite, but it’s actually on the lower level. This wasn’t an issue for us, but noting it for others that may need that information. Looking forward to staying again in the future!

Week stay at Hooper's Creek Cottage

Overall the property was in excellent shape. It appears to have had some renovations done in the recent past and everything felt new and well apportioned. We spent most of our time on the main level, however the lower level would have been a very nice area to spend our time if we chose to. The kitchen is more of a kitchenette so the upstairs kitchen would have been the one to use as a family or group. The kitchen on the main level was perfect for our use and had everything to dine in, which is what we did most of the evenings. The house is central to most everything you would want to do in the Asheville, Blue Ridge Mtn area and we took full advantage of it. We would certainly return to this home if our travels take us back this way.

Won’t be returning.

Although this was a fun location for us to spend the weekend with a few friends to celebrate a 40th birthday, we will never stay here again because of the extreme “quiet time” policy. It isn’t realistic. I have a lot more I’d like to say about our experience here, but it has been prohibited in this review even though I’ve tried to tell the honest truth about our experience now three times. You are not allowed to be outside past 10pm if you plan on talking or making any noises, or if there is any resemblance of your intention to have a good time. No balloons allowed, and definitely not more than one car in the driveway or else the neighbors will complain and you’ll be called about how the property is not an event friendly place. Don’t expect the rental company to be on your side when it comes to renter’s rights to privacy. That’s all I’m allowed to say here. Good luck.

Beautiful spot for a getaway

The cottage is lovely. We really enjoyed relaxing by the creek. When it rained we opened up the windows and felt cozy inside. We will definitely be back!

Family getaway

Half-hour outside Asheville. It’s like an older 2/1 quaint cottage on the first floor and an updated 2/2 on the second with lots of bells and whistles. I enjoyed coffee on the second level deck in the mornings, temps in the upper 50’s and the brook bubbling in the background. I will miss that! Being from FL the bugs weren’t bad. Bonus: My teen and I think it’s a little haunted, not in a scary way. We both had unexplained experiences. Overall it worked well for our family.
