Holiday Inn Resort Aruba - Beach Resort and Casino

7 stories high, close to the beach, that's the ticket. I've stayed at some of the other high rises and it takes forever to get from your room to the beach. This is easy in and easy out to the beach. Rooms are good, service is good, Very little room to comment on what could be improved so I'll add some here. The lottery system for the beach huts is flawed very hard to get close to the water, also they play favorites on who gets the best huts. Casino is weak at best. Locals take all of the promotional spots. Hotel guest should get priority seating.

I just returned home today from my stay here and immediately wanted to write a review. My stay at the Holiday Inn was awesome! This resort is in a perfect location to the "strip" for some shopping and fun while also having access to the 3 pools and 2 jacuzzis that are the only thing between the resort and the beach! There is always something to do here whether you want to stay back at the hotel and hangout in the casino or lay out on a hammock outside. This resort was great and my fiancé proposed during our sunset dinner on the beach. He did this with the help of the sea breeze restaurant staff! A big thanks to the entire resort staff for always having a smile and being the nicest people, taking the time to help and talk to everyone!! Definitely will be back in future

We requested an ocena view with a balcony and kingsize bed. We got a double bed room, with a "balcony" and view of a roof. We had to upgrade for $400 to get what we originally requested. The staff was great, espcially the concierge. Very freindly and helpful.

After a slight problem checking in ( key card problems) we explored this large resort- restaurants very pricey but great food and service- better to explore the Palm Beach area for lunch and dinner - Arawak center with about 12 restaurants 10 min walk- Beach is large, clean, with palm huts and 2 bars the whole layout is easy and convenient - Our room was clean although AC could have been better! One weird thing is a lottery to obtain the palm hut (palapas) you want - everyone lines up at 4pm , get a number then wait for the kid to pick numbers out of a bingo ball machine- in your number is called, you line up again to pick your hut number - you then have up to 10:30 am next day to put your towels out to confirm or they will give it away - whole system could be better and more efficient - but its Aruba so......

We had a spectacular stay. The room, facilities, and staff were all top notch. I would recommend Holiday Inn Aruba to anyone planning a trip to the island.

The entire experience at the hotel was excellent.

Our family planne a wonderful vacation trip to the beautiful island of Aruba in July 2017 for a 4 night 5 days stay. We took JetBlue from New York to Aruba and the flight was perfect no delay and smooth landing. We arrived at out hotel Holiday Inn Resort Aruba Beach Resort and Casino and this is when it all went wrong. We had book and paid for a room on a height floor ocean view and we got a second floor room overlooking the lobby roof with mechanical equipment view. We spoke to a female manager at the front desk about the room we had reserved and paid for and was told it was not available but check back in the morning and we will be able to switch rooms. We took the elevator to our room 5263 on the second floor open the door and the appearance of the room and the smell was disgusting. The room smell old and moldy. The carpet on the floor was very dirty and look like it had some red spots like blood spots. The drapes by the sliding glass door to the roof top mechanical equipment was all torn up, had holes in it and very dirty. The walls dirty, you can see the dirty around the sprinkler heads on the walls. We check with management every day for a room switch and it never happen. Customer service was the worst I have ever experience in the hotel and tourist industry traveling around the Caribbean Islands. The only thing that save the trip was the island Aruba IT is a very beautiful island and I would recommend to all family and friend to visit Aruba. Tours and food was great

I was impressed with the quality of the facility. As well, many of the workers were attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the comfortable, clean bed.

The hotel was wonderful. We have stayed at that hotel a lot!!! Will go back.

Long lines at checkin and checkout. Staff efficient but just not enough of them at peak checkin / checkout times. The other problem is the umbrellas. At 345pm they start a raffle for the next day. It takes 30-40 minutes in line to get an umbrella for the next day. I found that very annoying because it is very inefficient and such a waste of my vacation time.

Staff was very accommodating with my request not to have a view of the air conditioning units and rooftop. I was pleasantly surprised that my garden view even viewed the gorgeous ocean! The wait is a bit long to check in but I understand as they are answering questions, trying to check guests in and it takes time as they are interrupted by people like me requesting different things. As far as the palapa situation never stood in a line the day before, and whenever I went to pick up my towels I asked if one was available and I always got one..

I love this hotel ! The best on Palm Beach! It has everything you need ...right on the beach... and what seems like one of the biggest properties... Shopping is literally accrocs the street .

Great time just wish my view was better. It was a view of the dumpsters and tops of buildings. I was told poolside but couldn't even see the pool nicely and the beautiful sea.

It took almost an hour to get checked in as there were only two people working the counter and it was a very slow process. We had a king bed with an ocean view room and the bed was humped up in the middle making it uncomfortable. Had a few times there were dirty plates in the breakfast buffet. Other than that it was a good place to stay

We had an amazing stay. Room we chose was average, but we weren't looking for luxury on this trip. Just a place to get ready and sleep. Mattress was super comfortable. Beach is incredible, and hotel is walking distance from just about everything we needed. Took a little while to get checked-in, but otherwise, zero complaints. Would definitely stay again.

The only drawback I encountered was the inability to get a bloody mary before 11am. The food was always good, especially at the Sea Breeze restaurant. The staff was particularly friendly. Someone was cleaning constantly during the day, sometimes necessary in the face of a constant wind blowing through.

Our first time to Aruba. My wife and I celebrated 19 years of marriage. We both has a fantastic time and are thinking about going back next year for our 20th.

No complaints. Enjoyed stay. Memorable. Will come back

Kids enjoyed kids club. Staff were wonderful. They couldn't wait to get back to kids club every day. Hotel has the nicest stretch of beach. No seaweed.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our first time in Aruba. We liked it, but didnt love it. When we checked in, the line was as slow as can be. we were told check-in time was 3:00pm only to find it was 4:00. We were informed our room wasnt ready and to come back by 4. So at 4pm we re approached the front desk and were told the room still wasnt ready, and to be back at 4:30. We weren't too thrilled with that as it had been a long day travelling from NY. We wanted to unwind and get our vacation started. So finally a little past 4:30 our room keys were issued and we went into the Sea Tower to our room. As luck would have it, the cleaning staff was still working on our room. After a short wait we finally entered the room. It was hot and the carpets had been wet with a musky-lemony smell to them. Not a good first impression. Three nights out of our six night stay, the room was not made up. We would return from the beach and pool around 4-5pm to get ready for our evening and the room was still not made up. (Even though housekeeping was on our floor!) At that point we exchanged out the towels and said forget it because it seemed a little ridiculous being that by that time of day, the room still wasnt cleaned. So minor things like that, the overall comfort of the room was a little disappointing. As far as the facilities available to guests, it was ok. The pool area and beach were nice. I do wish night swimming was offered as well as more activities, but that is me being nitpicky.
