Great vacation, food was excellent. Chris that took us to our room was excellent and a wealth of information. Walter at pure ocean restaurant is the best. Only thing I whis they would change is to have the swim up bar pool adults only.

Great location. Beach n pools. Room very comfortable.

I booked this trip just about a month prior to leaving. It was a good deal/ not a great deal. This was our 12th trip to Aruba; second time at Phoenix. We stayed at Divi Phoenix last year and had a similar experience. My biggest problem with this place is the way you reserve your beach palapa for the day. It seems as though people get up in the middle of the night to put a personal item on a palapa. I was there as early as 4:45 A.M one day and got a less than desirable location. Once you put your items down, you can either stick around or return at 7:00 so that the security guard can document your room number assignment to that hut for the day. I will say that while I didn't stay on the beach between 5 and 7, my items were never moved or disturbed. It seems ridiculous to have to get up that early while on vacation! I'm not sure what happened one day, but seems as though someone may have moved one of the long term time share guy's stuff and was comfortably sitting relaxing when the time share guy returned to sit for the day. I witnessed what was seconds away from being an all out fist fight between two much older men. Really!? There is also no beach service so you need to get up and go to the bar for any food or beverage. The rooms are quite spacious and relatively nice, although starting to show their age. I don't go to Aruba to sit in my room. I go for the property and amenities. The Hilton is by far the prettiest with most efficient beach booking system

The Divi Aruba Phoenix resort was a great place to stay in Aruba. Clean, comfortable, on the beach, walking distance from lots to do and a quick cab ride to downtown. The staff was always friendly and professional. I did have one issue with changing rooms on the last day we stayed. The rooms are guaranteed to timeshare owners first so they will move you to another room as a hotel guest if needed to open the room for a timeshare. I did not know this before booking. Thankfully it was on our last night/day there. The food was good at Pure Ocean and Pure Beach. The deli was good as well for small quick bites and coffee.

Not enough entertainment and to far to casinos to many kids and not enough chairs!.also had to walk up the beach for restaurants and shops, was under the impression that casino and several restaurants were on the property! Was not impressed,

We had a great stay. Bed was comfortable. Clean room. Nice kitchen. We did not want to leave.

Room very well appointed with wonderful ocean view from 5th floor. Hotel grounds are beautiful and they have 2 restaurants which we tried and were extremely pleased with. Pure Ocean restaurant served us dinner on the beach. Loved their scallop dinner. They also serve great buffet breakfast. The Pure Beach restaurant and bar is wonderful as well. Excellent grouper lunch. Workers for the resort are all friendly and accommodating. Turned out to be a great choice

Great place to stay on the beach. The staff are friendly and do a great job.

The Divi Phoenix has a great beach with plenty of palapas and beach chairs. Great location and within walking distance to bars, restaurants, a grocery store, and more.

The first room we went to smelled musty. They moved us to another room which smelled of cleaning solution and I though that someone had just left and they cleaned the room so we stayed there. After a couple days that room started to smell musty also. I have lung disease so that is not good for my health. I complained again and housekeeping came and put in a dehumidifier. We stayed in this room for a couple days hoping this would help. It did not. They offered to move us to another room which meant that we had to pack everything up and then unpack again in another room. I had no choice because the musty smell was making me ill. The next room was perfect, no smells at all. That was for a couple days until they came in with asking or telling us and changed the draperies in the room. I guess they had decided to redecorate the units in our area. The draperies were emitting a chemical odor into the room. Again it was making me ill. They tried the dehumidifier again to no avail. I had to ask for a manager at that point. I suggested that they change the draperies back with a unit that had not been changed yet because he told me that ours had been thrown away. They did that and everything was ok until we left. The staff was very accommodating with my needs. I cannot say enough good things about them but obviously there is a problems with mold or something in this hotel. I heard other guests complain about the same thing. The complex it self is beautiful.

Great location, on the beach and the staff is great.

Hotel was nice (pool/beach) room was decent as well. Unexpected fees on check in tying up money n my credit card. And way too many obnoxious kids running around. Not a good hotel for honeymoon or adult get away.

Hotel is beautiful and clean. Front desk and concierge very efficient and helpful. Food service staff extremely slow (1 1/2 hrs to be served lunch cold). Couch and bed in room very uncomfortable. However, the room was clean and well stocked (appliances/dishes). Location is perfect. On end of the high rises so beach is not over crowded. would stay again. BUT, Really wish they'd update the mattresses.

We had a great time at Divi Phoenix. We love our room, very spacious and clean. The facilities need some update, maybe more activities esp for the kids, but overall we love it! Wouldn't mind coming back!

The hotel is very good in general, but I have to say some issues, one is that they are making an improve in the tower and only one very small elevator was working, it was a problem have to share the small elevator with employees with material for the work that they are making and it was a lot of time waiting for the elevator.

Had a good stay until I realized that the cleaning staff had stolen my 2100 dollar watch from a zipped up pocket in my zipped up computer bag. The staff also stole an unopened 100 dollar micro sd card from the same bag. The manager did not follow up with me after I informed her of the incident. Contacted the main usa customer service in NC twice about the incident and they finally had me contact legal dept. no response in 2 weeks. Will never stay at a divi again. Beware. Obviously upset about rip off. More upset about lack of action/response by divi. I'm sure the housekeeper still has a job.

If your going to the island to relax this is the hotel for you! Right on the beach , several places to eat with great piña colatas! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly . We hope to return soon.

The hotel was great. Staff was nice and it was a great location. It wasn't too far away from all the action but far enough away that you weren't bothered by the noise.

The resort itself was beautiful. The grounds were neat and kept clean. The beach was perfect except you had to get up around 6:30am to reserve beach chairs and shade huts. Ridiculous. If you don't then you don't have beach space for the entire day. Many people reserved the space then left for the day. The suite was nice but the bed was only queen size, I am 6ft 5 at 260 lbs., my wife and I could barely fit the bed. They should have been king size. The worst complaint was the size of the bathroom. So small my wife and I could not be inside there at the same time. You have to turn sideways to utilize the toilet. Way to small. Other than that we loved the location away from the BIG resorts. Nice quiet beach. Loved the ISLAND.

VERY QUIET AND VERY NICE RESTAURANTS AND GREAT BEACH

Thank you for your review. Some of our guests' stays do run into weekdays or Sundays where a timeshare owner might be using their suite. If this happens it sometimes requires a room move.
