Rooms are cozy and comfortable. Located within walking distance of many restaurants and the waterfront.

Historic Inns of Annapolis is three properties with an unsecured parking garage in a fourth location. When I went to the main address to check in, no one was at the desk. I waited five minutes for a staff member to appear. She informed me I would be staying in one of the properties located a five-minute walk from the site of registration. She then added that the "valet" parking for which I paid consisted of me taking my car to a garage in yet another location. She then proceeded to give me a map and show me the two locations -- of my room and the garage -- speaking left and right turns more rapidly than I could either process or write down. I finally took the map and decided to launch out on my own after asking for a street address for my room (for GPS). The map did not include the street addresses of the buildings. It was dark. The locations I was seeking were located amid a tangle of one-way streets. After an hour of driving around I finally identified both the site of my room and the site of the garage. I then parked in the garage and lugged my two bags to the site of my room through a 20-knot winter blow. When I got to the porch of the building where my room was, I had to use the card they gave me to enter the building, and then use it again to enter my room. This would have been okay except that it was not common system and took me 6 or 7 tries before I could get into the building. All in all, I give this inn a 2 on a 10 point scale. I'll never go there again.

The property was clean and historic. The room was very comfortable. The location to downtown is perfect. We were amazed by how big the place was compared to how it looks from the outside. The front desk was very helpful with all questions that we had. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

Great location, very stylish hotel. Loved the design.

Such a wonderful building. Great location and staff.

The staff couldn’t do more to help or make the stay great. They hotel is located just a couple minutes walk from the harbor and all the restaurants and shops. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. I would stay here again. Pros: clean. Comfortable. Phenomenal staff. Close to everything. Cons: no in-house restaurant for breakfast. Hard to get an emailed receipt. Couldn’t get the TV to work (but we didn’t request support so fair) All in all 4.9/5

Very limited services(for example no coffee anywhere no maid service etc) perhaps the least of any hotel I’ve experienced. People (front desk, valet/ bellman) were pleasant and attentive but nothing beyond minimum expectations. Zero building amenities. Lobby toilets inoperative. Won’t be back. The historical bit only gets u so much slack, and they ran out of slack for this review.

I love the history of the Maryland Inn. The location is perfect for an Annapolis visit. However, this property is probably not for every traveler. The rooms are small, the bathroom is similar in size to a cruise ship bathroom: tiny. But of course, I understand why. There is no staff on site, however they were responsive through a phone call. I didn’t realize how expectant I have become of certain amenities that a historic stay doesn’t provide. Evenso, I would stay at the Maryland Inn again, or try one of the inns under the same ownership. It was a very nice experience.

Love Annapolis. Love Governor Calvert House. Great hospitality, venue and staff. Thanks all

Very impressed with the location & value for room.

You need to appreciate old buildings--it has all the character, and comfort. The location is wonderful for exploring in the evening. They offer valet parking, which solves one of the big urban problems.

It was very nice the staff was informative and helpful The entire place was well taken care of and very clean

Awesome experience Beautiful historic place and walking distance to everything We enjoyed the deliz breakfast as well at Their restaurant So so good Wanna thank u all the staff esp the intern from the Phils i think his name is DG Ocampo very courteous and accommodating will come back next year!!

Beautiful historic building. We stayed in the Maryland Inn. You have to check-in at a different building 3/4 mile away. Instead of using the hotels more expensive valet and getting shuttled to the Maryland Inn - we parked at a garage that was closer to our hotel. Hotel and room were very clean. Our bedroom and bathroom were the smallest I have ever seen in America. Last year's hotel on West Street was much better.

Great location, was just disappointed in room location - was an interior room over their event space and a reception until 10pm. If I had known, I would have asked for another room...we were early enough they could have accommodated. My 77 year old Mom deserved a better Mother’s Day.

It was very expensive for an average hotel room. The property is historic and great in that respect, but the amenities are not up to the standards I would expect.

Thank you for your feedback. Our parking garage when not full is at the Calvert House, the other lot your referring to is free state parking garage which we thought you were asking about. My apologies for the mix up and not giving clear directions. I hope you reconsider staying with us in the future. Regards, Daryl
