I sent just one night here, but it was pleasant. The hotel is located on the waterfront, next to the Fleet Reserve Club. It's a short walk to many historic sites and a wide range of restaurants. My (upgraded) room was spacious and clean. My one disappointment is that there is no exec lounge here, but I knew that from checking the website. Due to the lack of a lounge, I was offered a nice breakfast in the hotel dining area.
The hotel is in a great location and on the water!! Walking distant to restaurants, bars and shopping! Great outdoor bar!!! The staff was very friendly! Rooms could use a face lift!! Small bathrooms!!!! Quite room!
Valet park ($25) and forget the car or Uber into town. It is very special to be able to walk about town and, in our case, walk to the Sailboat Show. If you are lucky your room may overlook Ego Alley. Our 4th floor city room room was very good. Bed was comfy with plenty of pillows. Desk, TV, small fridge all worked great. We didn't use the hairdryer in the bathroom. Shower had plenty of VERY hot water.
Great location but a dated property with average-to-poor food and stunningly unprofessional service by those working in room service, specifically the two answering the phones and taking orders. They're a perfect storm of incompetence and rudeness.
We had a beautiful, large room overlooking the harbor and out to the Bay Bridge, Couldn't be nicer. Staff was well trained and very helpful. Problem was the dining, really lousy food. They need a real Chef...their "cooks" will sink this waterfront beauty. BTW...I've stayed in this hotel as a Marriott, and I remember the food was edible but not up to the standards of a few other standouts! Too bad mediocre has fallen into such a deep hole. With their location and full water view, they could be "THE" place in Annapolis...Marriott management surely should be able to find the right team...with this location, the bar business alone should be able to carry fine dining!
I recently hosted my son's rehearsal dinner at this location. I wanted to give a five star rating for the service, location and food; however, the privacy of our event was not satisfactory. Our event for about 50 people was held in a private and nice room right on the water, but the doors were not secure and we constantly had other people using our room to walk in and out to the rest room and outside bar. Since you need to pay a separate $500 (not part of food & drinks) fee just to use this room, I found that slightly upsetting. Overall, the night was wonderful and I would highly recommend this venue for such an event. I would, however, make sure you ask the hotel to have a better system for keeping your function "private". Food, service and staff were excellent!
I've stayed at this hotel before and it does have a great location in Annapolis. You can walk to the Naval Academy and all the stores and restaurants. However, it is OUTDATED!!! And not worth the price I paid. I honestly don't mind paying a lot for a hotel room but this is so not worth it. We had a good sized room and a wonderful view of the water. But when you look at the details, it all goes wrong. Our shower head was literally broken and I had to take a shower while bending down, not comfortable. And all I could think is "I'm paying $650 to take a shower like this???" The bathroom was totally outdated and really tired looking. It was a mess in general. After the shower incident, I went to the front desk to tell them about it. They said they would send up someone to fix it, which they did. I also asked to speak to a manager, one was not there so I gave them my cell number to have them call me. They did call and leave a message but I was so mad I just didn't bother to call back. The front desk people and the manager clearly provided underwhelming service. Overall, it's just an old hotel that needs a major makeover and is WAY overpriced. I just wouldn't bother staying here and I'll be staying at the Westin next time I'm in Annapolis.
Annapolis is a beautiful town with average hotel accommodations. This property is one of the top three in town and certainly has the best location. However, the facilities are dated and show the signs of age. The staff was great and the location is prime. The rooms are a bit tight, and the furnishings look about like what you would find at the average Marriott, Starwood, IHG, or Hilton hotel. The bathrooms are small, dated, and leave you to wonder when they saw they last saw a deep scrubbing. If you're a headed to a wedding or similar event at the Naval Academy, this is the closes location and your best bet. Just know that you'll be paying for the location more than the room.
Everything about this hotel was wonderful. We were greeted upon arrival by Rachael at the front desk. She was so friendly and helpful the whole weekend. The bartenders Milan, James and McGivor really know their jobs. They were an absolute pleasure and made the weekend extra special. Our room was great. super comfy beds and the view was spot on. The restaurant Pussers was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We loved all the special drinks to choose from. I had a filet mignon that was cooked to perfection. The coconut fried shrimp appetizer is a must. I highly recommend !!!! My 4 sisters and myself will be going back.
When we arrived, with a reservation, we were offered a room with a Murphy bed or a room next to the wedding venue, which was booked for the evening. We said neither and were finally offered a room that was described as near the elevator. The room was nice enough, but I wasn't impressed given that we paid over $350 per night. The bathroom had some rust stains and there was a hole in the pillow case. I could have overlooked those issues if I was paying half the price. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Right on the waterfront and a short walk to the main drag.
