The first day I checked in was horrible, I saw a cockroach and I was told it's a Palmetto Bug... I sure know the difference between both. The WiFi is so bad that you cannot get anything done, I couldn't get my report done for work and when I complained, I was given a phone number to call some company, which they tried to troubleshoot over the phone, the guy on the phone told me to go out of my room towards the elevator if I will get signal, all to no avail... I requested that the manager get back to me but I guess he has no regards for their customer, because he never did.. and I was there for 2 weeks. I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. The room service is not good, my room wasn't cleaned and I went to the front desk to make a complain, the front desk staff came up with their cleaning sheet that says my room was cleaned... Guess the room service was too tired to get things done... Pathetic experience
This hotel is great for business trips, which I usually make about once a week to the area, so I try to book this hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and modern enough. The staff is friendly and there is a full bar and restaurant downstairs which is very convenient. Cleanliness is a MUST for me as a frequent traveler, and this hotel consistently delivers. Keep it up!
Very clean and spacious rooms. Modern furnishings. Close to downtown and shopping. John at front desk very gracious and accomadating. Large clean outdoor pool. Great buffet breakfast at a good price. We stay here frequently and are never disappointed.
Wifi went in and out. Had to come down to lobby to reconnect again. One must REQUEST a microwave oven that has such a short cord that it must be placed on the small table in order to reach an outlet. The shower curtain is too short-water inevitably makes its way to the floor. Breakfast is an expensive prospect. At nearly $10 per person (we stayed 5 days) for the "buffet," we decided to go out and get some groceries to keep in the room for that purpose. When we wanted to treat ourselves to breakfast, we went to The Clock, great simple food at very inexpensive prices. We ate dinner twice at Tucker's Restaurant, located on the corner from the hotel. There isn't any real milk available for coffee, which is free, and weak, so we did purchase a container of milk, and Starbuck's breakfast blend for the Keurig that is located in the room. When we first arrived, had to have one bed's linens changed - black hair all over it! But it's clean and quiet - 4th floor is great. We will never stay in a Holiday Inn again - it was expensive as well, not a good value at all for the Anderson area. Oh! One more thing - outdoor pool. No access till June.
Very nice property with a friendly, helpful front desk staff. Clean rooms and facilities. Close to a number of restaurants and shopping areas. Plenty of space to maneuver around the room and bathroom.
i have been here on business for about 6 months. everyone is wonderful and helpful. especially the breakfast staff in the restaurant jordan the cook, and geri and julia are so wonderful and helpful no matter what. they have a generous breakfast buffett that would cost 15 dollars or more. i just keep coming back and the front staff is great. alexa and john especially. if you come through anderson, sc. stop by here.
Lodged at Holiday Inn Anderson, SC while on business in area. Found one of the best Hotels in the SE. Beautiful grounds, comfortable rooms with any amenity you'd possible need. I travel extensively and stay at IHG brands almost exclusively. I've experienced many excellent quality stays but this Hotel was over the top perfect in custom service. I always speak with available staff members to evaluate quality of hotel and leadership of management. Every staff member at the Holiday Inn Anderson, SC rates 110% in excellent customer service.
The location is great, especially for Anderson uni and shops, but it s a tired older hotel that seems to have very high occupancy - at least it had a bar to enjoy a cocktail late in the evening - seems a long way to walk from the reception desk to the elevator!
The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel is well kept. It is in a good location close to restaurants and stores. Best of all it is just a short easy drive to Clemson University. Our only gripe was that the breakfast only runs from 7 am to 9 am...but there was coffee in the lobby. Will stay here again on football weekends.
I booked it at the list minute through Priceline.com and it was one of the hidden deals and I didn't know which hotel it was. I only knew it had a 3 star rating and I've stayed at other 3 star rated hotels and had been pleased. It was $65 a night so expectations weren't high, yet I do have some standards of expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. We arrived late, around 11pm and the gentleman at the desk was very polite and helpful. The room itself was more than adequate, clean and modern. My wife is a lot more picky than me and she was pleased. The room had a Keurig and coffee, a small desk and free wifi. A couple of critiques. My wife showered first and I had no hot water. It was probably about the time everyone else was showering. Also there's not a complimentary breakfast. Many comparable hotels do. I was very happy to spend $65 which was half price. At full price I would have been pleased with the cleanliness, the modern rooms and decor and friendly staff, but the lack of hot water at full price would have annoyed me.
