Staff very friendly and welcoming. Gerri in restaurant was excellent. She made you feel like you were the most important people there. Beds are very comfy and pillows were great. We'll be staying there every time we go back to Anderson.
The appearance of the hotel was very nice. They offered a breakfast buffet for $9.99 from 8-10. We arrived late that night, it was quite and they had an available room. However, it probably wouldn't be my first choice if I was in town again.
Hotel staff were friendly but the accommodations were pretty bad. I requested a microwave when I booked the room. They put me in a room with no microwave and then had the maintenance man bring a microwave to my room. He had to put the microwave on the desk sideways because it was the only working outlet. Even the outlet by the bed didnt work. You can see from the photos that the furniture is very worn down and I was concerned the shower rod was going to come out of the wall. I won't stay there again.
We found this location to be fine, but there was nothing to distinguish it in either a good or bad way. No real complaints--though I did notice that the elevator floors were a bit dirty. Room was clean, and the hallways were quiet. We chose to eat breakfast elsewhere in part because of the price, but the breakfast food we saw looked little better than the free breakfast at a Holiday Inn Express. One turnoff--while the hotel is a nonsmoking hotel, all the smokers were gathered outside the front door of the hotel so you had to walk through a fog of smoke to get into the lobby.
The first day I checked in was horrible, I saw a cockroach and I was told it's a Palmetto Bug... I sure know the difference between both. The WiFi is so bad that you cannot get anything done, I couldn't get my report done for work and when I complained, I was given a phone number to call some company, which they tried to troubleshoot over the phone, the guy on the phone told me to go out of my room towards the elevator if I will get signal, all to no avail... I requested that the manager get back to me but I guess he has no regards for their customer, because he never did.. and I was there for 2 weeks. I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN. The room service is not good, my room wasn't cleaned and I went to the front desk to make a complain, the front desk staff came up with their cleaning sheet that says my room was cleaned... Guess the room service was too tired to get things done... Pathetic experience
This hotel is great for business trips, which I usually make about once a week to the area, so I try to book this hotel. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and modern enough. The staff is friendly and there is a full bar and restaurant downstairs which is very convenient. Cleanliness is a MUST for me as a frequent traveler, and this hotel consistently delivers. Keep it up!
Very clean and spacious rooms. Modern furnishings. Close to downtown and shopping. John at front desk very gracious and accomadating. Large clean outdoor pool. Great buffet breakfast at a good price. We stay here frequently and are never disappointed.
Wifi went in and out. Had to come down to lobby to reconnect again. One must REQUEST a microwave oven that has such a short cord that it must be placed on the small table in order to reach an outlet. The shower curtain is too short-water inevitably makes its way to the floor. Breakfast is an expensive prospect. At nearly $10 per person (we stayed 5 days) for the "buffet," we decided to go out and get some groceries to keep in the room for that purpose. When we wanted to treat ourselves to breakfast, we went to The Clock, great simple food at very inexpensive prices. We ate dinner twice at Tucker's Restaurant, located on the corner from the hotel. There isn't any real milk available for coffee, which is free, and weak, so we did purchase a container of milk, and Starbuck's breakfast blend for the Keurig that is located in the room. When we first arrived, had to have one bed's linens changed - black hair all over it! But it's clean and quiet - 4th floor is great. We will never stay in a Holiday Inn again - it was expensive as well, not a good value at all for the Anderson area. Oh! One more thing - outdoor pool. No access till June.
Very nice property with a friendly, helpful front desk staff. Clean rooms and facilities. Close to a number of restaurants and shopping areas. Plenty of space to maneuver around the room and bathroom.
i have been here on business for about 6 months. everyone is wonderful and helpful. especially the breakfast staff in the restaurant jordan the cook, and geri and julia are so wonderful and helpful no matter what. they have a generous breakfast buffett that would cost 15 dollars or more. i just keep coming back and the front staff is great. alexa and john especially. if you come through anderson, sc. stop by here.
