Nice hotel to stay at in Amsterdam (on the expensive side during the weekend). Very clean with a generous breakfast. Lisa was very helpful and made a big difference in the overall experience. The hotel area gets a bit noisy at the weekend, so if you are a light sleeper I recommend you stay at high floor and use the ear plugs they provide. Final comment to the hotel, late check out at 12 PM??? Seriously??

I stayed here with my other half from Saturday 4th - Monday 6th November. Check in wasn't until 3pm so we stored our bags and went for a wander. We were able to check in at 1pm - we had room 608 with a fantastic view over the city. They had put out some balloons and chocolates as it was my birthday, and written me a card which was a very personal touch I thought. The hotel has a fantastic location right on Rembrandt square - great access to lots of bars and restaurants, and Dam square is a 10 minute walk away, or you can catch a tram right outside which will get you there in 5 minutes. The beds are very, very comfortable - and the maid came in as we left for the day to freshen up the room. Breakfast was nice - the little pizza things are delicious - and you have the option to have fresh eggs, sausage and bacon cooked for you when you get there. My only comment would be that they could provide UHT milk in the rooms instead of powdered milk, I know you can get fresh milk from reception, but it's better to have UHT milk than powdered!

Amazing hotel and location. I was at the hotel in October 2017, The staff were amazing. Thank you very much. Big rooms Perfect location in Rembrandt. Close to dam squre and around the hotel there are a lot of pubs. highly recommended 😊😊

Awesome hotel! We liked the room very much, great breakfast and amazing location. But what I liked the most - Lisa’s smile. Every time you see her she’s welcoming you with greeting. Great service by all but especially by Lisa! I would like to mention Calvin as well for his great service. I would definitely come visit again

the hotel is pretty nice, well placed BUT you pay the placement central, a bit too expensive.. Also a real shame that hotel booked via booking and you do not earn any point on your NH car rewards.. ABSOLUTELY NO COMMERCIAL GESTURE

No Ice machine. Every time we wanted ice we had to call for it. Several times a day. And at times we waited quite a while to get the ice. Very inconvenient. No hotel bar, but very close to lots. The location was amazing!!! Everyone was very nice!

Friendly staff, great location, very clean, the check in was very easy, and the staff very gentle. We found a lot of information about the city and usefull maps for our journey. Also, the guideline of the most important places in the city were provided by the staff.

I stayed overnight for my granddaughter's swearing in as a lawyer at the Rechtbank the next day.My son booked me in thinking a 4 star hotel would be good. It wasn't.The lift was not working and had been out of action for weeks.I therefore did not trust the service lift and had to walk up to my room on tbe 3rd floor. The reception area is small and has no comfortable seating for guests. In the bedroom the soap holder in the bath fell off the wall when I touched it.The bed apoeared clean but the carpeted area was doubtful. The one window was near to the outside stair (fire escape) and overlooked the bed area.It was not worth the money my son paid and I was vglad to leave next morning. The sister hotel across the square appeared much better. The staff were pleasant but I would not recommend this hotel to any of my friends visiting Amsterdam.

Sorry for the late write-up. Had been to this place for second time in May 2016. Just can't have enough of Amsterdam every time you go. This too was a family vacation - but wish I could save up some more money and can go again! TIP: Hotel rates for the week end at this location (Rembrandt Square) is costlier than the week days. The hotel (NH Caransa) was very good - friendly staff - Mr Wolke was very helpful (so were others). Clean rooms. Was given the room as asked for - facing the Rembrandt Square which is lively until quite late. Could hear the music in the room at night since the place is very lively - travellers who wish to have a good night sleep and do not like to be disturbed, please ask for rooms that are not facing the square. Everything is at a stones throw distance from this square. Eateries, pubs, shopping - you name it and it is there at walking distance. Ideal for travellers who like to move around in the city - walking or by public transport. Trams available just below the hotel. Lovely place - waiting for a chance to go again! Do visit the Dam Square, Amsterdam zoo, Canal cruise (for those interested) and many more things to do or just roam around in the lovely city. Good luck to all who are planning a trip there and enjoy to the fullest.

I stayed in NH Caransa in the end of August and reserved the hotel through Booking. The hotel is very central and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area. If you choose not to include breakfast then there are plenty of good options just meters away. All mayor tourist attractions are at walking distance and it's easy to get to and from the airport with public transportation. However if you book the hotel through booking then I would suggest you send a separate mail to the hotel and clarify whether or not you want a double or twin bed, since they otherwise will give you whatever is available. Even if you clarified your choice in the original booking. A suggestion to the hotel would be that they acquire beds that can be easily transformed to double or twin beds. It's a very practical way to customise the room to the clients need and very common in the hotel business. Regards
