Great location with beautiful aspens and property - hot tub and fire place were nice. Check in was easy and pictures looked exactly as advertised. Only negative of the trip was the cleanliness - found trash outside we picked up, dirty linens in washer, dishwasher not working great and few other little things. Overall good trip :)

Great place to stay!!

We had such a great time! The kids loved playing in the snow and loved the sleds that are there for you to use! We all enjoyed the hot tub especially after a day of newbies at snowboarding. We had no issue with the roads to the cabin but it did snow a lot and was icy so definitely have a vehicle that gets around well in snow. Oh and we thought the heat wasnt working in the little cabin but it was (our fault) Anyways the owner reached out and was very concerned and super sweet and I could tell wanted to help us with our concern! Thank you Russ!! 😊 we highly recommended this place!

Room for improvement

We’ve stayed at this cabin before and was surprisingly disappointed with our recent stay. I booked this cabin for 3 days to celebrate my husbands birthday. When we arrived 30 mins before check in, the cleaning crew was still there. Once we checked in, the towels were damp, there no soap in the downstairs bathroom and the hot water handle was not working and the thermostat would not go above 61 degrees. There was also a strong sewer odor coming from the upstairs bathroom. The outside temp dropped to 4 degrees for 2 days and we were left to use the fireplace to attempt to heat the home. I notified the Evolve team and received a reply hours later. They offered to bring firewood and send an HVAC guy out. At that point we had resorted to leaving the house to stay warm and firewood was never provided. We also were leaving next day. Again we’ve stayed at this cabin before and loved it but was terribly disappointed and unsatisfied with this trip. Waking up to a freezing house with children was incredibly frustrating and hope the issues are fixed for the next guests.

Not clean

So we had no paper towels no basic salt pepper oil three rolls of toilet paper for a five day stay. We had to grungy old wash cloths for my husband and myself for a five day stay. The hot tub was filthy but I did call on the second day and the landlord came out and cleaned it the Traeger was so gross we couldn’t even use it the grill was so gross we couldn’t even use it it’s probably a fire hazard. The cabin itself was beautiful the beds were comfortable just make sure you bring everything you need because they don’t give you anything.

Wonderful Spot

Love the amazing views from the main room and the property! Plenty of space between neighbors, making it very private. Kitchen was well supplied for lots of cooking and the rooms were quiet, comfortable and dark (with blinds). Very relaxing, comfortable and clean. We're already discussing our return visit!

Not cleaned prior to checking in

This is a nice property, however it was not cleaned prior to our check in. There was dog hair covering the couch, dirty towels in the bathrooms which were not cleaned, the kitchen was not cleaned, the fridge was dirty as well as the stove, countertop and cabinets. We did not even know if the bedding was cleaned! There was dust everywhere and we spent 2 hours cleaning ourselves. The propane tank was empty for the grill(I personally bought one so we could use the grill). A cleaning crew showed up on our second day saying they were there to clean because someone else was checking in later that day(we still had another night to stay and were not expecting anyone to show up). The property owner was contacted directly and seemed concerned. He acknowledged our concerns but hasn’t contacted us since with resolution between Burbo, evolve etc. We really did not know who to communicate issues too. (2 weeks ago). Overall we still had a nice stay but it would have been better if the place had just been cleaned beforehand. Hopefully just a miscommunication with the management companies that needs to be addressed?! Otherwise, it is a nice property!

They’ve thought of everything!

Beautiful home nestled among trees. I had my son, his wife, & their 2 small children with me. The house has all the extra little things that you need for small children. Not only did they have a pack n play & high chair, but also the little things like plastic utensils, plates, toys, outlet covers. The kids had a blast! My son has a stressful job & I wanted them to be able to get away & relax, & that’s just what we got! Thank you!

Mountain escape

The process was easy. The property was beautiful and secluded. Just what we were looking for. Internet worked fine for us. My only critique would be that the edge of the hot tub was a little dirty looking, maybe stained? And some tissues in the bathrooms would've been nice. I would stay there again.

Colorado mtn experience

This cabin was awesome! So much fun to hang out at and enjoy some great steaks and then hot tub after. Super quiet and secluded. Great spot to also come to back to after hitting Breck for day activities. The master upstairs was amazing! Can't wait to take my wife to this place.

Beautiful property close to hiking and town

Absolutely loved our stay in Alma. The house was beautiful and just as described. Utilized the house fire pit and enjoyed sunsets over the mountains through the aspen trees. Hiking was great and the boys completed their first 14! Close to Fairplay, Breck and Buena Vista. Hope to stay here again next summer!

Total bait and switch SCAM

This property is disgusting! Clearly not cleaned on a regular basis. Garbage scattered all over the property ruins the "tranquil lodge" vibe. Dog poop bags piled up outside. Inside it smells awful and is clearly not a "no smoking " property as advertised. All of the listing pictures are deceptively framed to appear nicer than it is. And Evolve Vacation rentals did nothing to get me a refund after I realized it was not a "no smoking" space. If I didn't waste so much on this listing I could afford to hire a lawyer to go after the money they stole.

unhappy hot tub

The hot tub not working was a very big deal. When we were looking for places that was one of the of the first things I put in and so we were very disappointed when we got there and found out it did not work, and has not worked since 11/11 of last year, We called the manager and she said she could not help us and then called your office and could not get any answer. The next time we talked to the manager she also said she could not get ahold of anyone at the office. The coffee maker also could not be used because it was not cleaned. The house and the view was great just not sure if we will rent threw you again

A great getaway!

My son, husband, sister, and brother in law enjoyed our stay at the cabin immensely. The cabin was so cute and very clean. We had some plumbing issues (hot water) and the owner was very responsive and got it fixed quickly! This cabin is super baby friendly (lots of toys, kitchenware, etc.) the wall plugs even have covers on them! Our dogs loved running around the property and exploring through all the aspens. This cabin is great because it is secluded enough that you feel like you’ve really gotten away from the city, but you’re not too far from anything if you need it (Breckenridge is only 30 minutes away). We so loved every minute of our stay and plan to come back as soon as we can!!

Great home, but boiler went out

We enjoyed our stay overall. The home was lovely and perfect for our family of 4. The privacy of the location and property were amazing. However, the boiler went out so we did not have hot water, heat for the duration of our stay. The owner was incredibly responsive and did what she could remotely but there wasn't a plumber able/willing to work on the older boiler. The wood burning stove was enough to heat the home without the boiler but we didnt have hot water. Owner refunded a percentage of the nightly stay and plans to have the boiler replaces so should not be an issue for future renters. We would consider staying at this property again given the responsiveness of the owner and the new boiler that they will likely be installing soon.
