Excellent breakfast. Nice rooms. Great location. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Be aware if you face the street - Lots of street noise! We had to keep the windows open because it was summer, and the street noise was definitely a problem. Some rooms have AC, so you may not have to open the windows.

This staff was amazing after a horrible experience at Ludwigs. We left and booked another hotel after feeling threatened and unsafe. Orbitz and Ludwigs still will not address or refund us. Thank you Sonne for your wonderful staff that took such good care of us!! Place was terrific. Breakfast served are amazing as were the 2 gentlemen that helped us check in on 9/16.
Excellent hotel right in the heart of the village. Unique decor. Comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. Really enjoyed our stay.
Great location in the center of town and a nice breakfast. Parking is not on site and there is a charge for each vehicle in/out. I had a few issues with the room, one with wifi not working which was addressed but the speed was not great. The other was with a very loud air conditioner system that went well beyond the fan noise. They had to increase the fan the fan speed when i complained about the room temp and when they did, a loud clicking noise was constant. It was my first time in Fussen but there looked to be several well located hotels that might be worth a look
First the good: great location on the edge of old town; super water pressure in the shower; very good breakfast; helpful & pleasant desk staff. Now the bad: no A/C in the room; worn red shag carpeting on the floor; tiny room; laughable hair dryer; froofy hotel decor; the maid rations toilet paper! The location is great but the hotel hasn’t been updated or renovated in at least 20 years. This part is laughable: they dole out the toilet paper - only one roll per room per day! When we ran out of TP at 7:30 am, we had to walk down to the front desk to get a replacement. Thereafter when we went out for the day, we left the empty cardboard roll on the sink thinking that the maid would get the hint & leave an extra roll but when we returned later that afternoon, the cardboard roll was gone & no extra roll replaced it!
This is an immaculate hotel. The cleanest we have ever seen! The staff are multilingual and extremely nice and very helpful. The rooms are very nice with comfortable beds and lots of pillows. Our rooms had bathtubs!! We wished we had been staying for more than just one night. There is a very nice gift shop attached to the hotel. We were staying there because we were going to see the Neuschwanstein Castle. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to that area.
We had mistakenly made reservations to the castles on the wrong day and the front desk clerk made calls to correct the situation. Because he did that, our stay went off without a hitch. Also, they were very helpful in getting bus travel information for us. We also enjoyed the free internet station so that we could contact our boys on-line. (Our cell phone had no service in Fussen.)
In the middle of town, close to everything, bus to the castles. Great food and shopping within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff.
