We stayed just one night before our flight. Our room was clean and comfortable. Some time in the middle of the night our air stopped working and our room was hot. Our coffee make, fridge and microwave did not work seemed like it was not plugged in but you could not see the plug. No free breakfast we paid for breakfast disappointing. Would not have breakfast there again. They offer free parking while you travel however desk clerk said they have been having car break ins and suggest you park at the airport. I would think they would have cameras or security, not sure about staying there again knowing this.
I first stayed at Holiday Inns with my family as a child. They were always clean, comfortable, and accommodating. This one was a disappointment. The third floor room we stayed in is need of repair. The bathroom door would not fully close. There is a big gap around the exhaust fan - probably because they replaced it with a smaller unit but didn't feel a need to plaster the gap. And, it has a serious bug problem (probably coming through the gap around the exhaust fan). The room safe was not bolted to the floor and was missing the keypad. It was inoperable. The empty hair dryer bracket led us to ask the desk clerk for one. After all, it is listed on the website as an amenity. He curtly informed us that hairdryers were only available in suites. When confronted with the website information, he merely pointed out we did not have a suite. Although we didn't check in until Saturday October 7th, my credit card was charged for the entire stay on October 3rd. They still felt a need to place a $150 hold on it though. This hotel was not a good value for the cost, inconvenience, and indifference of the staff.
We stayed here for Balloon Fiesta. It's about 12 miles south, which was fine. Staff was friendly, but hotel itself was a bit tired. Very limited hours at restaurant and bar. Pool was OK. Parking was somewhat limited. Had to ask for extra coffee and coffee cup covers for the room. I know it was busy, but just not up to my usual expectations.
I have always wondered how people can have such different experiences with one place and this last weekend showed me. I reserved 2 rooms for the Balloon Fiesta, and both couples had very different experiences. Our room was clean and comfortable, with the exception of the pillows. The other couple had issues with barely any toilet paper, a non working coffee maker and a shortage of towels. They asked the front desk for toilet paper 3 times. On Saturday there room was not serviced and they still hadn't gotten toilet paper they finally got someone at the front desk to bring TP and towels. I tried the in room coffee and thought it was really bad, but since they have a sign stating they serve Starbucks coffee I thought no worries I will get coffee downstairs. When I asked which blend of coffee they had the gentlemen said Oh this isn't Starbucks, we have asked management to remove the sign but they don't. During our stay several people had their cars broken into as well so be sure your doors are locked and the alarm is set.
On September 27 I stayed at The Holiday Inn Sunport in Albuquerque New Mexico and there was not a good experience... Service in Restaurant is very slow... the waiters tried to their best but they didn't get it.. there is no water bottles in the rooms... I didn't feel satisfied with this stay...
Stayed here overnight and have no real complaints. Room was clean and more than adequate. Staff was nice and very helpful. They have a small bar on the property, drinks and food at the bar were good. The only negative was the distance to the pool. It was quite a walk, and if you're dripping wet a long walk is not ideal. Besides that, great stay.
Getting here is a bit difficult. There's a road that looks like an entrance to Homewood Suites that actually services the Holiday Inn, but there's no sign pointing to it. Otherwise, great bed, clean room, good wifi, very good shower head, lots of television stations. Price is good, but may not include breakfast. Dumb!
The hotel appears older as far as decor and narrow small hallways. The suite was very nice and roomy and up to date. Great jet tub in bathroom. Very comfortable bed. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. Food is mediocre at best, so I would try to eat elsewhere. However the wait staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel is close to the airport. However there are no restaurants close by, so if staying more than one night I would recommend staying at the next exit down where there are restaurants. The do have a shuttle to and from the airport which is nice. The spa pool area was closed, and they only have an indoor pool.
My family of four (two little ones) stayed one night and was very pleased with our room. We had a 2 room suite (#402) and it was large, clean and comfortable. The furniture seems recently updated. Both beds were comfy (king and sofa sleeper). The receptionist/housekeepers and breakfast staff were all very nice and accomadating. The hotel itself seems as though it has "older bones" but they've done a nice job refurbishing it. Breakfast was very good! After pricing out many hotels in Albuquerque, we were very happy with our room for the price. Definetly would recommend to others!
Bar was great and good food. . Jennifer was great very accommodating. But I ask you why would you not provide a shower cap with a room that has no tub. We used our points and this has happened before. Not happy having wet hair to go to bed
