My friend Rap, Thina, Del, Mark and I just visited the Alta Vista de Boracay for the first time for our 2017 Boracay Experience. We expect great scenery, great people and of course great food that will make our trip much memorable. With the expectations that we had, it goes far beyond of what we expect as we had our dinner at Alta Vista de Boracay. Their food is really sumptuous with the fusion of Filipino and Asian dishes. You will surely fall in love in their delicious food plus the service of their amiable and always on the go waiter and waitresses. Their food and beverages have different twist that makes it so great from the Iced Tea with fresh lemon, Sriracha Chicken Thigh and Pizza Di Juan. What I really like the most is their new offering "Champorado Cake" (not included in their menu) one of the best home made cakes that I tasted so far. (feels like heaven :) ) The Dining Supervisor, Restaurant Manager and Chef of L'altura (Restaurant part of Alta Vista) are all accommodating and really approachable when we ask question about their business. If my memory serves me right, the L'altura just started last June 2017. Oh, I just missed to take a photo of them. My food buddies and I will surely recommend L'altura to our friends and to everyone for their stay at Boracay. I will definitely back to Alta Vista.
I cannot stress enough how bad of an experience it has been! From the moment we checked in, all the way through. I booked thru booking.com 2 rooms for 3 nights (6 adults and 4 kids.) Check in took over an hour and a half. Mind you, we have been traveling for more than 4hrs. We arrived at 9pm. They asked for so many questions, names, ages, I.D copies, etc. Got the key almost 11pm. The kids were already exhaused from the land/sea travel as we landed in Kalibo. Not even a single compensation for the delay. There wasn't even anybody else there except us. (They charge 1000php per extra person per night. Ridiculous!! Overcharging!) We checked their restaurant as we have not had any dinner yet. And OMG! Average meal costs 700php! Are you kidding me? Who would ever eat there? *Room* Upon entering the room, it already had a pungent smell. It smelled like the room has not been occupied in ages. (Parang baul sa attic.) It was so bad, I couldn't even sleep. I kept waking up to that God awful smell. Like an old cabinet that got rained on and dried. The bathroom was bad as well. When you take a shower, the water leaks on the floor. We also experienced 3 brief black outs. Breakfast were bad too! They tell you its a buffet but it only has 5 choices: egg, sausage, pancit, fried rice and piece of chicken. I'd rather eat at Station 1/2!! The free shuttle does NOT run 24hrs as they say. It only runs from 8am to 12mn.There are two Shuttles: From hotel to Puka beach and hotel to D'Mall. I think that was the only "good thing" I got back the hotel. But as a first timer goer to Boracay, I would not want to stay far away from Station 1 where most affordable restaurants and happenings are. Overall, extremely disappointed. It is not a value for money! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! This is too far from Station 1 and from all the activities. You will waste your time going back and forth from the main scene and the hotel where you'd only use to sleep.
The hotel is about 10 minutes away from Station 1 of Boracay. It is nestled up in the mountains away from everything. Which has its own merits and inconveniences. It is far away from the crowds if you want to have a quiet stay in the island. There is a free shuttle service going to D'Mall and back but the rains and the number of guests made it near impossible to go back. We had to use the transport service of Astoria to get back one time. Most of the time, the staff cannot control the guests who skip the line. Imagine having lined up for 20 minutes only to have a dozen other guests cut the line because their companions are ahead of us! The food is also very expensive. It makes the trip going down to the center a better option despite everything. The staff were generally nice and accomodating. The rooms are clean and spacious. Great pick up service going to and from the airport.
location is away from boracay station 123, but they offer free shuttle service every 30min - 1hr to the d'mall and puka beach. Big room with good view bed and pillows are okay Nice Infinity Pool, 4ft deep Food is average. Hotel staff are friendly.! Recommended if you want to stay away from the crowd and noise.
There is an hourly shuttle to and from D' Mall in Station 2 Boracay, which can take from 10 minutes to an hour (!) depending on traffic on the one way road. This hotel complex is huge, with multiple buildings containing spacious, well-appointed rooms. Hotel rooms are large and spacious complete with the usual amenities. Check-in and check-out are satisfactory. There is a counter for booking optional excursions, such as water sports and other activities. This hotel is popular with tour groups, lately Chinese tourists. They serve breakfast buffet - meant to fill you up. Selection is the usual sausage, tuna, ham, egg or fried fish plus rice, bread, fruits, coffee, juice and the like (the breakfast selection changes partially day by day). Since the hotel complex is far from the noise and bustle of White Beach, it's more secluded compared to the typical beachfront hotel- perfect for a good night's sleep. Just be reminded that during our 3 night stay here, there were sporadic brief brown-outs, which their generator sometimes couldn't handle - probably since the generator was undergoing maintenance that time. You can also access Puka Beach, a more secluded beach north of Boracay Island via a separate hotel shuttle (you must pre-book ahead - just tell them the time you wish to leave the hotel and arrive back). Overall, it's a nice and affordable place to stay (especially in the off season) if you don't mind the compulsory shuttle services to take you to Boracay's beating heart. Also, to add, they offer shuttle services from both Caticlan and Kalibo airports (book with them ahead of time).
The hotel is actually massive, with many large buildings. We booked the room with two levels where the pair of queen beds, dresser and small table are located at the top of some very slippery stairs (too much lacquer?). The lower level included a nice L-shaped sofa, quite a bit of pantry space, mini fridge, micro wave, separate shower and toilet. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioners (one on each level) not too noisy. Likely the largest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Was worried that it was so far away from the White beach and all of the shopping only to be informed they have an hourly (free) shuttle service to D'Mall (main shopping area) as well as Puka beach very nice beach and almost nobody there. On Puka, they offer free towels and have beach chairs. Breakfast (buffet style) is until 10am and although there is not a lot of selection, what they offer is good. Staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. Pool is quite nice with a great view (and great view from the loft suite). Choose this hotel if you'd like to get away from the tourist crowd and have a large room (home away from home).
The hotel is not in the area where public beach is, but it's fine because there's a free scheduled shuttle that could take you to other places. It also has exclusive access to Puka Beach which is amazing! The water in Puka Beach is so clear and blue.. it's like paradise.. The hotel accomodation is very good. Room is big. Big bathroom. Restaurant's food is very good too. Pool has a very nice view. Room get's cleaned everyday if you want it to. Wifi password is given in the reception area before you check in. Accepts card for payment. All in all. Great hotel. Great experience. Recommended for sure!
It was indeed a lovely place to stay with my family. You could feel the warmth welcome from all the staff. We stayed in Alta Vista last May 3-6, it was an awesome experience, friendly people everywhere, even the visitors from different walks of life. We went to Puka Beach, soooo clean and not crowded. We will surely go back in your place. Thank you so much 👏Mr ARIE SENA for the accommodation🙏🏻God Bless😇
Good budget hotel, good service, especially shuttle service to D mall, and beach. restaurant not good, rooms are specious and maintained neatly, swimming pool also good. it's worth to stay in Alta vista de boracay. But it is little far away from station 1 , better provide shuttle service till 3am.
"Awesome view from 3rd floor" Poor breakfast due to very less selections and food is tasteless.AC in room is not working properly,no further action is being taken while we direct the concern to FO.Poor service in general!!
